"I absolutely love this place! I've been there twice when it was at Old School Mountain and once at Adelphi. Out of all the burger spots in Aberdeen, this one is my favorite. The burger is juicy, and the truffle and rosemary salted fries are fantastic. We also enjoyed a lovely bottle of Pinot Noir, which was a great way to kick off our evening! The service that night was exceptional as well, though I didn't catch the name of our server (a woman with dark hair). I highly recommend a visit!"

"Short notice booking made thru Open Table. As there were 4 of us, we chose to sit in conservatory overlooking garden which is a work in progress but hey, it's November. Food was delicious and good choices, staff were attentive but not overly and was reasonable value for money. Would recommend u try it Vegetarian options: Some good veggie options Service: Dine in"

"We visited on the 27th December for a late lunch, our party was 5 adults and a 7 year old. We were sat in a booth- a bit of a tight squeeze and did result in some kind of elbow jousting game that we could have done without. We ordered our drinks (a must try is the strawberry and mint margarita which did take a while to arrive; this was an ongoing issue and most probably down to the fact that their very competent bar man was making drinks for the whole restaurant with 4-5 servers sending through orders all the time. Our food was amazing, we ordered a platter for 2- this is well worth the price tag and lets you try many different dishes without the headache of trying to choose! Our son had a burger from the kids menu which he devoured (all parents reading this will be well aware of how rare this can be . We had no room for pudding so cannot comment on these. I would most definitely recommend this restaurant for their food and drinks but would suggest to the management that they do a bit more training with their FOH staff to tighten up their service to avoid communication issues and a feeling of neglect."

"excellent quality eating. it will take some visits to process the optimal number to order 2 or 3 small plates or 1 and 1 large etc.) the price will affect the last combo. we had two small and one big. a small plate was ribbed with three cooked chips. delicious. great value. the other small plate was makrele scampi, which at £10.50 for 6 pieces was a bit on the expensive side and saw small also on a small plate! needs salat or sweet. my big plate was a burger absolutely delicious. only a small point: the prices on the menu were not clear, there was a dot in the middle of the zero, so the £10.50 scampi looked like it cost me £18.50! which would not have been good and at a tenner it was the upper end for the portion size."

"What a fortunate discovery! I stumbled upon this restaurant while searching for a place that would cater to everyone's taste. The menu boasted a wide variety of options, so I decided to give it a try. I am so happy I did because I ended up enjoying one of the best burgers I have ever tasted – the Smokey Joe. The presentation was impeccable and the taste was out of this world. I also indulged in some mouthwatering sweet potato fries. The only downside is that this restaurant does not serve alcohol. However, everything else about the experience was fantastic. The service was top-notch, with friendly and efficient wait staff. I would not hesitate to dine here again – a definite 10/10."

"We ordered two vegan appetizers at this restaurant. Unfortunately, the croquettes were still frozen and the jackfruit nachos were very odd - just tinted pieces of jackfruit, gherkins, and salad scattered over tortilla chips with a sweet chili sauce. We sent the croquettes back, and the staff was very apologetic and asked the kitchen to make another batch without blaming us. The second serving of croquettes was hot, but lacked flavor. For our main dish, my partner ordered the cauliflower steak with miso and lemon glaze, but it was too salty to eat. The cauliflower was coated in pure miso, making it inedible. The staff apologized and took it back to the kitchen to try again with a different brand of miso. We believe the kitchen should taste the food before sending it out. The other dishes were okay, but not particularly great."

"If you're looking for authentic BBQ with a Cajun/Haitian/Creole twist, then this is the place to be! They have a great selection of BBQ dishes; I tried "the change" which included a bit of everything (pulled pork, burnt ends, ribs, and brisket all BBQed) along with some Cajun fries. Everything was absolutely delicious, with the only downside being that the brisket was a bit dry (but the flavor made up for it). We were treated to a complimentary starter of cornbread and chili-butter that was delicious. I started with calamari rings and then had "the change". Our server was warm, relaxed, and friendly, fitting perfectly with the laid-back atmosphere of the restaurant. The decor may be eclectic, but it's the taste of the food that truly matters. We visited on a quiet Sunday afternoon and the service was quick. Overall, I was extremely impressed with the food and I can't wait to visit again. They pay homage to the roots of the food and add a spicy kick which I personally enjoy. For those who like their food seasoned, they offer a "super hot sauce" on request that will really spice things up. The prices are on the higher end for a casual restaurant, but the quality of the food makes it worth it. Thanks to the chefs for their traditional cooking skills, this was the best BBQ meat I've had in Bristol!"

"I had been to this restaurant a few times for a walk with my dog and a drink, but had never tried their Sunday roast until today. It was clear that the roast was very popular, so we decided to give it a go. I was impressed by the excellent roast with beautiful fresh vegetables and I especially enjoyed the sweet cauliflower cheese. The meat was tender and overall it was a great meal. The sticky toffee cheesecake was absolutely delicious and a must-try. The restaurant is dog-friendly and my little chi enjoyed sharing some meat with me. I will definitely be returning in the future. I highly recommend this place."

"We stopped by for a drink after taking our dogs on a long walk. There’s a designated enclosed area where dogs are welcome, and since we were the only patrons at the time, we were able to let them off their leads. The venue features plenty of covered outdoor seating as well as spacious indoor areas, making it both comfortable and visually appealing. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The menu looked and smelled fantastic, and I appreciated being able to see the kitchen in action—definitely a plus. It’s a lovely spot to visit, and they strictly follow local COVID-19 guidelines. If you're planning to dine here, I recommend making a reservation, as the place was consistently busy."

"When researching Ironbridge before we came, we had our eye on this restaurant and it did not disappoint. We had a massive chicken sharer board and got some burnt belly pork ends (although not very burnt, no complaints there however). Chicken was juicy and packed with flavour and we had no complaints. We had a couple of drinks with our food also as it was raining outside and we didn’t want to brave getting soaked just yet. The restaurant/bar was very cosy and had very dimmed lighting which made it very homely. Overall a fantastic place and staff were helpful too. I would say that the place is the very accessible for wheelchairs and doesn’t have a ramp but it does have an outdoor seating area."

"Working away for my company I have been to numerous smokehouse style restaurants and can honestly say Bare Grills was the clear winner so far. I visited with my family on a personal meal not funded by my employer and it was a group choice to visit this restaurant. I had been to the same location some years ago probably 2015 when it used to be owned by Grillstock. The location is Clifton Triangle and luckily the West End multistorey car park had just re-opened after a lengthy closure £3 for 2 hours . We arrived at 5pm and there was already 3 or 4 tables eating there food when we arrived, the music was great if you love southern rock and that style which I do. We were asked for our drink order first, and then ordered our food. The order was 1 x Double Bacon Burger 1 x Filthy Pig Burger 1 x Piggyback Burger 2 x Dirty Fries with crispy bacon 1 x Dirty Fries with pulled pork The food arrived promptly and looked amazing see images , the fries were so nice with the sauce and topping bacon or pulled pork given them an extra level of delicousness! The burgers were amazing, I had the Piggy Back which is bacon and 4 burger patties! It was like a skyscraper! It was juicy, well cooked not over cooked before you jump to any conclusion! . It was too big to eat by hand, so i decided to split it into 2 halves, then eat with a knife and fork. My family all enjoyed there meal just as much with 6 plates going back completely clean the fries are seperately ordered to the burgers so on a different plate . As I said in my opinion this is the finest tasting burger fries in a smokehouse restaurant that I have been too, give it a try you will not be dissapointed! Their menu is not just limited to burgers, they have hot dogs, wings and ribs etc too. I will be returning and my family are all in agreement that they loved it too and want to return."

"Ok I know this is a popular venue and the food is a feature... But from a veggies point of view....Ok it's brilliant that there are vegetarian and vegan options, and a range so I'm loathe to do this but just cos I don't eat meat doesn't mean I've lost my sense of taste! The.dishes we ordered were very bland and they were the chilli burger and the pretender hotdog again chilli and coriander, so that surprised us. We asked for chilli sauce and none was available. Only there is as a seperate dish which found out about because someone in our party knew of. Also at £7.95 I'd expect to be full, but sadly we were not satisfied and remained hungry. Some questions for the ferret kitchen staff to reflect on, do you taste the veggie options? The meat versions maybe filling (the meat eaters in the party were well impressed) but meat works in a different way to chick peas and so consider using denser protein and roughage combinations or even higher amounts of salad and lastly can you use garlic and chilli to better effect? The mushrooms in the pretender were flippin gorgeous... Start there and work outwards! However let me be clear the staff were lovely and helpful and a great laugh! The pub and gigs I've been to there are brilliant so not an overall critism of the venue just this aspect."

"I had my first taste of eating today. faster and courtier service, it was obvious that eating was prepared before spot and very fresh. I ordered the pulled swarm, the brisketburger and the hawn with a wedge. sharing this with the family, there was a lot to go and there were 4 satisfied people. pulled pork tender and damp, brisket burger boiled exactly right, cheeky, and that huh had an amazing taste, I have commented how the chicken skin doesn't look sharp enough, but as I ate it, I had to change my mind, beautiful and crisp with a lot of taste. keep the good work, can not wait to see what is next."

"There's plenty of parking available, and it's conveniently located not too far from West Kirby beach, making it a nice spot for a stroll afterward. The highlight of our visit was definitely the staff, especially one young woman with striking green and black hair who was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Despite the busy atmosphere, she handled everything with ease and made our experience even better. I just wish I had caught her name because she truly was fantastic! Vegetarian options: There are plenty of choices for vegetarians. Parking: Ample parking available close to the entrance. Kid-friendliness: Many families were there, and it appeared there were lots of options for children to eat and enjoy."

"We were visiting the area from Edinburgh for my birthday, and had been to Porky’s before and wanted to visit again. We were travelling with our dog so I phoned ahead and asked if they’d allow the dog into the restaurant to which the response was it was fine as long as he was quiet, and that whoever answered the phone said they had discussed it with the manager. We drove half an hour to get there and were looking forward to our meal however when we arrived we were met with hostility. No one smiled or welcomed us the staff including the manager looked at our Labrador with disdain. I explained that I’d phoned ahead and whoever answered the phone had said that we could bring our dog with us. The manager then very abruptly said “is it quiet” and I explained that he is quiet and that I’d confirmed this during the phone call. The manager then replied in a rude, sarcastic tone. At this point I decided that we were leaving and we would not be parting with our money to be treated in such a manner. If they’re not dog friendly (which they clearly aren’t) then they need to say so. The way they were acting was as though they’d be doing us a massive favour by letting the dog in. We won’t return and will take our money elsewhere. The manager needs to consider how his attitude can come across. It’s absolutely fine to not allow dogs dog owners will go somewhere else, but don’t be rude and disrespectful to customers. The place was absolutely dead with staff like this I can’t say I’m surprised."
"Great beer, beautiful garden, and friendly staff! I inquired about whether they sold Turks Head glasses, and the guy with the cool haircut just gave me one for free. He even threw in some original local art! Plus, they have hands-free door openers in the restroom, which is fantastic. Overall, this is the best pub - a lovely spot with a cheerful atmosphere. I'm so glad I came! What a gem!"

"Myself and my wife went walking from Thorpeness to Aldeburgh and back. The wind was very keen and cold. Following exploring the shops in Aldeburgh we turned to walk back to Thorpeness. From the outside the PH caught my attention with smoke exiting the chimneys and an Adnams sign outside. The thought of a pint of Southwold by an open fire got the better of me. Once inside it became apparent that this is a food led pub as the first questions from the guy behind the bar was 'were we ordering food and had we booked '? My answer of 'no ' didn 't seem to be the correct one, it was 12.04 pm (4 minutes since opening) and with only two other customers in the pub my thoughts of a quick warm by the fire with a pint were now being replaced with exiting the door that we had only just entered. It was explained to us regarding the number of booked tables, the times of customers arrival and where we could sit. I did get a slight feeling that we were not the most welcome of customers that lunch time but have our drinks and a warm by the fire we did. We stayed for around 45 minutes and only as we were leaving did anyone else arrive. Beer was good and the fire was excellent, the menu seemed to cater for all. Didn 't see the food so can 't comment."
