"Firstly this review is no reflection on the delightful young lady who served us on entry to this venue and served my drinks at the bar if only the other staff were as courteous and professional.......now on to my appalling experience on arrival got drinks asked for s table Barry chuckle then put us on a table so far so good handed menus ...left to decide then for the next 30 minutes I proceeded to watch Barry chuckle totally ignore me and my wife as if invisible ..at this point I was getting a little fed up so popped round to the bar saw the young lady who said il get him to come now so I returned to my table only to be followed by Barry chuckle who yes you guessed it went to the wrong table totally ignoring me again .....as they were watching this unfold from the bar the young lady quickly shouted at Barry chuckle who totally ignored her so she herself had to apologise and take my order .....now on to the food well starter came quick looking like it had just been pulled out of the nuclear reactor at Sellafield it was that hot ..obviously microwaved to death ...just about edible ....then the mains went for the all American burger well what can I say was a total disappointment can only say that it only reference to American was the charred remains of an atrocity to sever to mention ....absolute horrendous ......we finished our meals and again was sat waiting to pay so again off to the bar again where I encountered the new manager on making my feelings known without a hesitation she was quick to offer a refund ...Which I refused flatly as if you simply giving money back you only masking the problem..how about spending that money on decent staff training .staff uniform and more importantly a decent chef .. oh a replacement for Barry chuckle and a decent pay rise to the girl front of house ....."

My partner and I visited on a hot, busy Saturday night and the service was excellent and the food was great. Plenty of staff so queues were manageable and the food was served quickly. We will be back when we’re in the area again!

We had a wonderful meal at this restaurant with a table by the window overlooking the river. My wife enjoyed the perfectly cooked fillet, while I savored the well-cooked brisket with delicious gravy. The service was perfect and the overall value was great.

As always a great atmosphere walking in, lovely area behind the bar, we were seated in the dining area near the kitchen. Walls, and the kitchen door were scruffy and dirty. Other doors were dirty too. The bell to alert staff is very annoying. The toilets were dirty and I couldn't get hot water, which is not good if the staff have to use them. Staff all very young and need supervision. Had to leave the table and go to the bar for another drink. The dining area was nearly empty so the staff were not busy. Food less than average. By far nicer places to eat in Ironbridge. It requires a visit from environmental health to review hygiene practices.

Located in the prime position of Ironbridge, this venue had the potential to attract passing customers, but our lunchtime experience turned out to be average to poor. The staff were welcoming and courteous, with our waitress being particularly good. However, our meal was delivered in a timely manner, but after tasting the potatoes, ciabatta, Yorkshire pudding, and beef, it was clear that only the gravy was hot, while the rest of the dish was lukewarm. When asked about our meal, I mentioned the lukewarm temperature and the oily Yorkshire pudding to our waitress. Unfortunately, nothing was done to address the issue. It's a shame that the pleasant front of house staff were let down by the poor...

I had been looking forward to this "treat" but was extremely disappointed. The tea service was lacking, with the smallest teapot in the world and cold tea in the first pot. There was only one tea bag and no spoon provided, and even after asking for a second pot, there was still only one tea bag and no spoon. The waitress claimed they were busy, but it did not seem that way. The food arrived without plates, and we had to ask for them. We were not asked if the food was okay, or if we needed more tea or any other drinks. There were no plates or forks provided for dessert. Overall, we were very disappointed as we had been looking forward to this experience for over a month. We will not be return...

We popped in with our granddaughter for lunch. After waiting a while I went to the bar and paid for our food. After thirty minutes and still no food, I asked how much longer it would be. A rather surly blond waitress said she would ask, ten minutes later came back with our starters, which were ok I suppose. When finished we then had to wait another thirty minutes for our mains. My granddaughters plate was so hot she screamed with pain on touching the plate, luckily though red she didn 't burn herself. This was a meal off the children 's menu! My salad with bits of chicken was Ok, but nothing special but when I asked for Mayo, the blonde waitress plonked it on the table and stomped off, no 'i...

Booked a Sunday lunch with my mum for the 1st anniversary of my Dad 's death. It was very busy as the weather was so nice. We ordered drinks that came in good time. I asked for tap water for the table. Didn 't come. 10 mins later my husband asked again, didn 't come. 3rd time of asking we were told the barman had a few drinks to sort out 1st!! 5 minutes later we were brought one bottle of water. I explained we asked for tap water. Then brought one glass!!!! I explained we asked for 2. So, after 35 minutes we eventually had our tap water! No apology offered at any point Clearly not enough staff Then, it got worse. My roast arrived. We asked for 2 large with crackling. The crackling didn 't ar...

"we wanted to visit the midlands and family for the first time since Christmas and in the frame of the visit I decided that we would take my mother for a nice Sunday dinner. she lives in telford and I am not familiar with the contrary so that I am on tripadvisor for ideas. I mean, I was looking for restaurants in Telford and sorted by rating; clays of broseley was the best from the list and that was what I booked. it is about a minute drive from my mother place through a beautiful shropshire landscape. we arrived in broseley a little early and found a parking space right in front of the restaurant. we were invited to take place on the terrace while they opened and had some drinks. I had a fantastic homemade limonade with glittering water, my mother had a Rhabarb juice that was so delicious that we were strolling home with us and my wife had a very nice pot tee. we had booked a table that had been placed in the restaurant for us, but we were offered the table on the terrace for lunch, which we liked to accept as the weather was perfect. we all ordered from the midday card, which for two courses and for three courses was a fantastic bargain. I ordered salmon and hake meatcakes with delicate brokolli, spargas and a white wine sauce and my wife and mother both ordered the beef Sirloin roast dinner. I was so impressed with eating. honestly, this restaurant lives up to all reviews. the ingredients were fresh and tasty and not refined as they get some places. to dessert my mother and I both had the rhubarb and custard' and playful plate that rhubarb compott, gelee, vanilla cream and small mygues combined crazy. the perfect end for every afternoon. during the meal were the employees (I'm sorry to say that I didn't get their names) attentive and friendly. our month old sohn, henry, has a stinking cold and has teethed, so was not on his best behavior, but the staff was fantastic with him. They even went so far that they broke out one of their dogs, a beautiful, huge dog called barney, for henry's entertainment. to cover everything, and this is great for parents of small children, they had a full baby change unit, complete with diapers, wipes and unhappy bags! I can honestly say I've never seen this before. all in all, for three nets, two desserts and drinks, the bill came less than unnecessary to say, I intend to visit again when we are close. I really can't wait."
