"Overall this was a good experience. Although we did have to wait a while for a member of staff to notice that we had arrived. My son and I ordered steaks for our main course which were tender, well cooked and served in good time. My son is a bit of a steak connoisseur and he gave a thumbs up. The only criticism I would have is if you are going to put some green salad on the side at least put a decent amount or don’t bother. To drink I had a gin and tonic, unfortunately this had so much tonic and ice in it I couldn’t taste the gin. This could be improved on. Bearing in mind this is a bar and grill in East Grinstead High Street they did a pretty good job and we both left feeling satisfied and it’s not often I say that."

"Le Bistrot is tucked away just a few yards from the tourist trappings of the Royal Mile, but feels almost like another world. Calm, relaxed, and authentically French. The service is prompt and professional, the food is good without being especially memorable, and it is a very nice place to spend an hour or two. The choices of desserts is slightly lacking (cakes, ice cream, or cheese), but overall, it is a very pleasant experience, and I’m sure we will return."

"Simply the best roast dinner of my life Everything was so superlative I had to force myself not to eat fast. Each individual item on the plate was the best of its kind I have ever had. Before you think I am a friend of the restaurant owners I am visiting from England and went with friends : Met at the door by a lovely gent who sat us and took our drinks order. Served by others who were non Intrusive and only interested in making our meal an excellent experience. I cannot explain how amazing the roast was. The meat was perfection, the honey flavoured veg was divine. The potatoes were unlike any I have ever had. Now the “Skirlie” I have neither seen nor eaten before. What a treat!! It was like the chef wanted to show off and this was his opus. Simply brilliant from start to finish. I am positive I will never have a better roast dinner Amazing work to all involved Thank you. "That is not one of the best places, that IS THE BEST place where you can dine in in Edinburgh! You should definitely try the Scallops and shrimp appetisers, for the red meat lovers just go for the Lamb and for the light meat lovers: don’t even wonder SALMON!!! Moreover, I have never tried better olives in my life!!! Staff is super friendly and helpful, you will definitely feel like you have been taken care of and not only, you will walk out happier from there. "After hearing about the recent refurbishment, I decided to give the restaurant another chance. I used to be a regular, but the menu has changed, and some of my favorite dishes, like Fish Pie and Steak Pie, have been removed. I don’t understand the reasoning behind this since those items are usually popular. Additionally, I encountered issues with getting my Open Table points credited to my IHG account. "Lovely restaurant and staff. There was 3 of us that went to this restaurant after not long getting off the train on the way to our hotel and we needed something to eat and came across this gem. We had Calamari and Soup for starters which were all lovely and then for mains we all had steak and 2 of us upgraded to a sirloin. The steaks were cooked to perfection and were seasoned perfectly. "My partner and I often visit Rye for a day out and we have now made this place our go-to place for lunch. "The worst service I have ever experienced in years of dining out . Zero accountability from every member of staff, blaming every problem we encountered on a member of staff being trained . Waited mins for a drink after seeing it sat on the bar for mins! Waited a further mins for sharing starter with no plates or cutlery ! Another mins later we were still waiting for mains order to be taken ! Waited again for another drink .Such a shame as the food when we did get it was very nice . The only time the waiters noticed us without us approaching them is when we got up to leave without paying the bill as we waited mins again and the bill never arrived. I settled the bill but refused to pay for any drinks having spent the best part of hours getting ignored. Needless to say we will not be returning to a steak and co restaurant anytime soon. Total shambles from start to finish !!"

"I’ve always loved the atmosphere and food at Blakes and the service has always been good. My experience was awful last Saturday though. Ambience and food were fantastic as always but the service was really bad. Extremely slow, we got served drinks about 40 mins after we sat having to ask for the drinks menu 3 times. The waitress was obviously a trainee with no idea about cocktails or wine. Not what you expect at a £100 per person restaurant. All else including the people at reception and cloakroom was flawless."

"What a delight! First time to this branch. I travel a lot and often have to dine solo which I don't mind. Some restaurants single you out but Côte Brasserie are very welcoming to all guests. Despite how busy they were on a Saturday evening, I was warmly greeted upon arriving, seated at a nice table and had excellent service throughout. Staff were attentive, yet left guests to dine in peace and enjoy their meal. I am a big fan of customer service. I have just come back from Japan where service is outstanding. I always find in the UK, we are one of the worse for service. However, Côte Brasserie is starting to make me have faith again. Well done! Great menu of French classics but there are other options too including steaks and salads. Hearty but good food. Calories and nutritional information are displayed on the menu which is helpful. I had the vegan Côte burger which came with frites. Freshly made, well presented and delicious. Messy to eat but so good. My Saturday treat! I actually felt shy when I fully cleaned up my plate but I was hungry and was looking forward to a burger. It delivered. I had a still water to drink so I was a bit healthy! Lovely branch with mainly indoor seating, plus a few tables outside. Lovely ambience and nice views too. They are busy given location so book a table. A lot of people were turned away or had to come back. Clean. Dessert looked good but I was stuffed. What Côte have also done well is not put up prices too much, especially in comparison to competitors. Very reasonably priced. Highly recommend."

"Food is lovely flavour is good, ingredients are very good quality and they are cooked perfectly. It generally feels very good to eat. I asked the staff sorry if I 'm wrong, shouldn 't this be a berry coulis? and she replied that they 'd run out so had replaced with chocolate sauce. I thought that 's a bit cheeky. It taste lovely with the berry coulis suits it perfectly but this chocolate sauce (albeit very nice on its own) taste nasty with this dessert. Had I known, I would have changed my order. I wish they 'd told me rather than sending it out with whatever they could find. That really was quite cheeky."

"We decided to enjoy the Lazy Sumday at Ping Pong. £25 a head with the option to have a bottle of bubbly for a further £10, it was a reasonable price considering the amount of food we had! You just tick on the menu what you want and you keep getting more and more. The range of flavours is great and you definitely walk away feeling full! "We always stop off at this Mizu when going south and have enjoyed the food. On this occasion not the case, I had the combo meal with rice and the meat was so tough and dry like it had been recooked it was just awful the green veg was very soggy. I politely told the lady waitress that the meat was dry and overcooked and she said well this is a new dish and walked off. I have had this dish before and it was never like this. The lady came over to take our payment for our meal and did not even apologize or offer our coffee and coke on the house, I didn't want to kick up a fuss but when a customer complains about the sub standard meal it should be addressed, so Mizu failed in customer service and in this case we will not be going back, mistakes with food happen but not bad customer service."

"I visited this restaurant the other day for lunch and wasn't quite sure what to expect. Once we were seated, a friendly young waitress greeted us, handed us the menus, and inquired about our drink preferences. The Bay Tree is beautifully decorated and has a lot of character; it’s not a large place, but it has a cozy feel that made us comfortable. As I mentioned, we were uncertain about what to expect when we placed our orders. A little while later, we were served two beautifully presented meals that were absolutely delicious.
