"A Sunday lunchtime visit when the restaurant was very busy. However out table was off to the side and relatively quiet. Service was quick and friendly, with staff being understanding about my preference for a starter as my main course. The food arrived in good time and was very good quality, fresh and tasty and well-presented. We chose tempura mushrooms, scallops and fishcakes, followed by some hearty mains, along with gin and tonics. We also selected toe mini pudding with coffee to finish, which is a favourite option for me. Highly recommended dining and a good idea to book well ahead."

Service was patchy, food was average and not particularly good value for money eg. 'mixed spring vegetables ' consisted of 2 slices of courgette and a spoonful of spinach. View menu

A busy lunchtime at the Cromwell so service was a tad slow. However the food was fabulous and portions were small but well presented and delicious. At £20 per head with drinks and coffees, this was a great value treat.

Lunchtime meal for 2. Lovely clean restaurant, not very busy but service was excellent. Starters arrived in a timely manner, nice and hot and tasty. Steak mains cooked perfectly. Good portion sizes. We would definitely recommend. View menu

We visit CC for special occasions, and this one was very special, with old friends visiting from New Zealand. They were so impressed with everything, which meant we could relax and enjoy ourselves as well. As always the food was excellent, the service likewise. Don’t change a thing!

I had thought l had booked a table for 4 for 6.30 ie: 18.30 but noticed on your conformation email it was 16.30 . I phoned Cromwell Cottage to check the time they had ,and it was 16.30. This was the afternoon before . By then, they were unable to fit us in. I'm not sure how the error occurred as I had put the details on my calander as 6.30. I have dined there on several occasions and find everything excellent. I was able to get in another venue, so all was not completely lost . Michael Brewer.

"I had the pleasure of visiting La Terraza Tapas Bar in Upton with my kids, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The ambiance was incredibly cozy and inviting, creating the perfect setting for a family outing. The friendly staff added to the welcoming atmosphere, making us feel right at home. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the tapas selection. The steak with chimichurri sauce was a burst of flavors that left us craving for more, and the Tempura prawns were simply delectable. It's clear that the chefs here take pride in their creations, as every dish we tried was a delightful journey for the taste buds. As a first-time visitor, I was thoroughly impressed by the overall experience, and I can confidently say it won't be our last visit. While the prices leaned slightly towards the expensive side, the quality of the food and the cozy ambiance more than made up for it. La Terraza Tapas Bar strikes the perfect balance between a gourmet dining experience and a comfortable family outing. I also appreciated the cleanliness of the restaurant, which is always an important factor for me when choosing a place to dine. All in all, La Terraza Tapas Bar offers a fantastic option for a memorable lunch with family or friends. If you're looking for a place that combines delicious food, a warm atmosphere, and a touch of elegance, this is definitely a spot worth considering.
