"I visited the pub in the evening of 13/06/22. I myself, sisters and elders enjoy coming here, as the foods and drinks are of good taste and great taste. our visit on Monday was great when kelly, alice, jack and jim recognized me and sisters who are regular visitors. jim greeted us at the door and was very welcoming and lead is to our table. from then on it was a seamless night for my family and the service of kelly was efficient as the appetizers, net and my two freky puddings were error-free. Many thanks to the chefs in this night, as I loved the lamb especially, especially by a person who never really goes for the lamb option (picture below). Thank you. cromwell team for a fun and relaxing night for my family."

Lunchtime meal for 2. Lovely clean restaurant, not very busy but service was excellent. Starters arrived in a timely manner, nice and hot and tasty. Steak mains cooked perfectly. Good portion sizes. We would definitely recommend.

I caught the chance of a Sunday dinner. two half roasted chicken and a beautiful house bottle prosecco sat outside in the sun the interior decor could do with a fresh on but the food and the service were great, yes I would eat there again

Lovely old building full of character. Smart decor with plenty of space. Food was excellent, and there is a big choice on the menu. Service was to a high standard, and we didn't have to wait too long for the good either. Husband was very happy to discover they have Doom Bar on tap. We will return.

we have been several times before and disappointing in the cromwell, while the prices have increased the quality of the food and also have reduced the portions. the food of my wife came with two of the most important ingredients that were missing from the plate and had the meal before, the size of the plate was much smaller than it had before. deception

A beautiful building with lovely decor, we went there for an evening meal and the atmosphere was very warm and welcoming. They have a great selection of beverages and the food is excellent, the cherry on top was the excellent and sincere friendly customer service we received from start to finish. Of note, Charlotte was outstanding, taking the time to converse with us and listen, she truly made us feel special. An amazing place with amazing staff and food, I cant recommend enough. Thank you Charlotte.

I was really impressed by the variety and choice of the separate vegan menu! I was impressed that there was even a separate vegan menu at first place for a small village pub. the food was delicious and I will definitely be back soon. I had the plant-based burger, it was a mock “meat” style patty that tasted as if it had been a vivara burger. it looks very simple at first, but it has a slowly roasted tomatenart pesto under the salat, a delicious coconut tzatziki sauce and pink tweeping on the top. I wish I could leave 5*, but this review is reserved only for full vg/veggie places.

"I love proper country pubs and this is one of them. What a wonderful find! The food was excellent and served within a very acceptable timescale. The cost was fabulous. As it is Tuesday and therefore pie night, it was £10 for a pie meal and a pint. Excellent value. The service was brilliant especially Jordan who was so welcoming and interactive to just the right degree. Both him and the lovely lady who served us (truly sorry that I failed to get her name) were so friendly and welcoming, and they both had the perfect amount of humour and attentiveness, and both were so very on the ball, even though it was a busy, summery evening. They both made time to chat and to ensure my Service Dog had both space and fresh water, as well as double checking that we were happy and had everything we required. The food was beautifully presented and tasted wonderful. I had the vegan option of chickpea, aubergine and spinach pie, chips, vegetables and vegan gravy. I can honestly say I enjoyed every mouthful! If I was made to criticise anything, the only thing I could point out was that, being in the restaurant area, the noise from the swing door at the bar was very irritating. Everytime a member of staff went through it, the door banged like someone repeatedly kicking a football against the wall. Maybe some kind of quietner could be fitted? If it wasn't for this, I would have given The Sun, Kislingbury 5 stars. However, we honestly enjoyed the whole experience of the food, the location, the staff and also included a little drive around the old village, and we will most certainly be back again! Well done to everyone at The Sun, Kislingbury. So very happy to have found such a wonderful place!"
