"have been a few times to this place mainly because of 1 the tantalizing promise of pfann cake! and 2 it is sensational location; one of the few places in front of the scene that really caught the air of the continental outdoor cafe culture on the pebbles : and I always enjoy the experience, it is nice to sit and while away some time watching the street bust past with a (normally perfect! coffee, especially on a sunny day outside. after said that eating has never blown away me, it is good, but not everything extraordinary. costume, but in a quite common art. it is more the location and view of the place that gets the evaluation, and the personal was always friendly and reasonable attentive, if not super fast. but if they are in the opposite, and chic crepes, it's still definitiw worth a scream!"

"I love a quality mixed grill from a Lebanese restaurant, and Hiba delivers just this. I also had some fried kibbe which, together with falafels are my favourite starters. These were nice and crunchy and had a great mince filling. The mixed grill was done very well... the chicken was moist and succulent, the kafta broke apart so easily and had the right flavours, the lamb cubes were surprisingly good, usually these suffer in the mixed grill, being tough and chewy... these ones however were pretty good, especially considering they had travelled for at least 20 30 minutes. Definitely be ordering again."

"we have booked this restaurant to celebrate a 40th birthday. the restaurant came on reccomdndation and I must say we were not disappointed. the food was excellent and the staff was very attentive. the whole evening was a full success and everyone was well fed and happy. the menu is diverse and competitive price, and the staff could deal with our large group as well as the rest of the restaurants on a busy Saturday night. we will be back in the future."

"Very good evening meal with friends. Having been several times to steak houses in Buenos Aires, I can say Patagônia feels quite authentic to me. I ordered a steak rare and I would warn you that they really do make the steak rare. I like it that way but if you don't want an almost cold centre, order your steak closer to medium. I've eaten here several times and will continue to return."

"Waited 45 minutes for a bread and dip starter. After 40 minutes of waiting the waitress arrived to tell us they were trying to source one of the dips.. with a drink as an apology for myself and my wife. 5 minutes later the starter arrived with the said dip still missing but no explanation as to why. Friendly staff but really poor service. A full night cut short due to feeling frustrated at seeing customers who arrived after us receive their cooked main order before we received a starter of dips and simply toasted bread. Not good enough for the price. Won’t be returning."

"We have been missing for a couple of years but Stefano always reconfirms to the height of the situation. The food is as good as always, the service is ready and the staff is dedicated and very kind. The room is elegant as always and is not noisy.... only neo, as many also there is thought that the low lights “make atmosphere”.... but in reality you only get the pleasure of looking in your face, it does not allow you to see what is in the dish or to read the Menu, what ODIOSA that forces you to use the phone to make light! Anyway, it's always OK!"

"there are many chain steak restaurants in london, and sometimes they can hit a bit and miss. we decided to try an independent steak restaurant with very good reviews this time bife in aldgate. bife offers Argentine steaks and they have not disappointed us. the steak was high-quality, was cooked to perfection, and as we asked what can sometimes be a rare thing. the chimichurri sauce was also delicious! valuable, it is not cheap, but decent, the quality of the meat we had. the waiting staff are attentive and the atmosphere was relaxed and returned that we enjoyed."

"Having lived in London 33 years, I knew this restaurant existed, always wanted to visit, now I regret not coming sooner. There are thousands of trendy, go to places in this city, most are all style over substance. This place gives a you a warm Cypriot/Greek hug, rarely found these days. No frills or fanciness, they know what they are doing and do it well. It is like stepping back in time but that is not a bad thing. It makes you feel like and old friend you met in a taverna in Ayia Napa. The food is as Greek/Cypriot as you can get. Generous, well cooked and delicious. The Dolmades are divine but the Kleftiko is the star, a very slow cooked large piece of lamb cooked till it completely falls off the bone.Rice is cooked in stock with tiny slivers of pasta. To be honest it is all of a very high standard. The prices are extremely reasonable. This is not art on a plate. You will need a hefty appetite, leaving full, satisfied with a warm glow, The music will stay in your head and adds to the atmosphere. I brought a friend for his birthday on Thursday lunch, decided to return yesterday with another friend, both loved it.The staff are welcoming, lovely and a joy. This place is just what it says on the tin. If any one criticizes they have never eaten great food in a Greek/Cypriot restaurant before.."

"We always have a meal in Mangia Bene before a performance in Sadler's Wells. Yesterday we were happy that if Sadler's Wells had ever closed, we would still eat in Mangia Bene. Your best traditional Bruscetta is even better than anyone I have eaten in Italy! Food is consistently very good. The employees treat us as recurring friends. Book soon and Buon Appetito ."

"mediocre. only 3 tables where we visited and service was still very slow. pleasant and accommodating, but slow. my first cure was ripening. they were fat and the sauce was ok. supposedlyly slowly boiled, so should be tender instead of chewing and fat. the second cure was the classic spaghetti and meatball. the meatballs of too much breadcrumbs, became stone and blanching. the sauce was casual. I left most of it. would have said the personal, unless nobody checked us. they were busy talking behind the bar. my wife found both her courses so that the 3 stars are excellent. I would have 1. much too expensive, bad service, do not eat at the price. 92 minutes for 2 courses. much too slow. very disappointing meal. would make my ordinary second visit as usual, but I would rather not."

"Felt like we 'd been mugged!. We went to Cafe Mode last Saturday afternoon and had a starter and a couple of burgers. Starter of Doughballs was okay, but noting great. We had two gourmet burgers for mains. Burgers were overcooked and nothing special. The french fries were okay. To look at the menu we were expecting a bill of around £28, through various crafty additions, £3 for the bottle of water on the table, extra £2 for goats cheese on a burger which came with cheese etc plus a manditory service charge) they had upped it to £43. The Service was okay but not worth a manditory 12.5%! Service was brisk and prompt but gave the overwhelming impression that we were being a...read more"

"I had the opportunity to come to this wonderful restaurant while in london and am from a Lebanese/Syrian background. I'm an American, but I've had all my life medium-east food. it was literally some of the best I ever had. the salads were all so fresh and the grilled meat and cheeses tasted perfect. the hummus and the grape leaves and the Syrian brot with tabouleh were so well seasoned. I asked fatima who she was chief. she told me it was herself! but she taught the chefs clearly because she was outside to meet everyone. when they go safe, order the desert and the Lebanese coffee. my family loved it and the place was full. make reservations or call before they go in."

"I had wanted to try this restaurant a few years ago. The Food Standards Agency (FSA) rating of 3 was a bit of a concern as it was not bad, but it was not good either. We decided to try it. Three of us went during lunch on a Saturday when it was not very busy. My wife wanted a table, but the female waitress said it was reserved (there was no reserve sign). She took us to a table that was really for one person (there were 3 of us) which was not socially distanced to customer. What was odd was the fact that there were two people in a much bigger table and the restaurant was mostly empty. In fact, by the time we left, there was no one sitting at any table. Only when I asked my wife if she wanted to leave, did the waitress give us a more appropriately sized table. I did feel that the main waitress did not want us in the restaurant at all. She was not friendly. Had I noticed a service charge on the bill, in hindsight I would have demanded that she had removed it. Even when I said goodbye , staff ignored us completely. I could understand why the FSA gave a food rating of 3 given the state of the men 's toilet. They really need to clean the toilets. As for the food, the BB burger was tasty and I ordered another. The chips were of a good standard. The wings tasted very good, but the portion was far too small. The food is not bad, but the staff (especially the main female waitress) need to be far more welcoming. On this basis, I will not return especially as there are so many competing restaurants in the area. What a shame! I had high hopes for this restaurant many years ago, but was let down by the service. If the restaurant does not want customers during a certain time of day then there is an easy solution close for a few hours."

"Passed by this restaurant as my son and I were staying nearby. The restaurant was quiet for a Friday night so we were seated straight away. Staff were attentive and friendly, efficient and fast. Started with Poppadoms with chutneys and they were delicious and fresh. I had the Naga lamb which was spicy as advertised but not overpowering. My son has the chicken Jalfrezi, only comment I would make is the chicken 'strips ' were not the best we 've seen maybe I 'm not used to it. We shared an onion rice and garlic naan between us which was ample. Note there is a policy that you have to order one main each. drinks (330ml Fanta) about the norm for London around £2.65 each. Food was pretty good value. Overall impressed, impeccably clean and appeared to be well run. No added service charge, so free to tip if you wish I only had a card and wasn 't given the option to add when paying. Sorry guys ! Better than average without being exc optional. Whilst I wouldn 't go out my way to revisit, it still gets a solid 4 and if I were in Canary Wharf again, which is fairly unlikely, I would happily go back"
