"My wife and I arrived at Jaggers at 11.40am today found a table and ordered two coffees and soon thereafter ordered two x smashed avocado with poached eggs on sourdough toast. The coffees arrived and we were asked to settle the bill at that time. Little did we know that the toast we had ordered would take 1 hour and 10 minutes to arrive! We saw people that had sat down after us being served before we were. Apparently “the crepes are cooked in a different part of the kitchen”. The toasts were ok but the poached eggs not brilliant after waiting 70 minutes for them. The table staff were fine it wasn’t their fault but come on. How can it take that long to serve a relatively easy snack? We weren’t offered any discount at all and in fact warned a couple who sat next to us that we had been waiting for over an hour for our food. Awful service in that respect and I think we weren’t the only ones as a table of four next to us must have also waited over an hour to be served their (basically simple) food. Steer well clear. If we hadn’t paid up front we would have left the money for the coffees and walked!"

"No exaggeration, but this place serves the best shawarma I had in the UK. Authentic, full of flavour, and cooked to perfection. The staff are super friendly and welcoming, the food is delicious and authentic, and the ambiance is very cosy and lively. To top it, they have THE BEST bags for takeaway with Handala and the map of Palestine."

"Thought we'd give it a try as we were having a pre Christmas break in Exmouth. Fantastic service from Emmer but poor value for money. Calamari starter £8.95, a very small portion Sea bass £18.95 which was good but advised to have a side dish with it which added another £4.55. Gorgonzola and Prosciutti pizza £16.95. Very expensive and not great. Peach and ginger soft drink £4.95 Poretti £6.95 a pint. This may explain why it was quiet just before Christmas, we noticed plenty of other restaurants in the town were busy with parties. We won't be returning, but have a lovely Christmas Emmer."

"My girlfriend brought me here for dinner before a theatre performance and we both absolutely loved it here. The restaurant itself is perfectly positioned and very well decorated. It's a very warm and welcoming atmosphere with super friendly staff. The waiters are quick to ensure everything is to your liking and make sure you're comfortable. The food is to die for; as usual we both ordered pizzas which are of a very generous portion size. I ended up eating one and a half and my goodness are they satisfying. At the end we were very happy with the bill as everything is generously priced for what you get."

"I would recommend this restaurant based on my previous experience with their delicious food, although I am hoping that my recent visit was just a one-time issue. We waited a long time for our drinks, and even when we asked for a pot of tea to be served with a meal, it only arrived after we had finished eating. There were only two staff members taking orders and serving, so it was difficult to find someone when needed. However, I was thankful that they allowed us to order a smaller portion of fish and chips for my father-in-law, who has a smaller appetite. It would be worth considering offering smaller portions upon request. Unfortunately, the chips that came with the fish were all 'ends', which was disappointing. I am hopeful that this level of service was not the norm and that improvements will be made going forward."

"Table for 4 booked for 7.30pm on a Thursday night, we arrived with a +1 and there were no issues with that. Perhaps its the barmy English summer we are having right now, but the restaurant was only half full. We have been here a few times over the years so knew what to expect. We all had steaks 2 sirloins, 1 rump and a couple of T-bones) as well as the sides. Mine was cooked to perfected, a couple in my group were expecting their rare steaks to be a little more ****. having been here a few times before me know that Argentines like their steaks ****, so a medium ordered ends up medium-rare and well-done is medium, a rare looks up at you and goes Moo. Perhaps it was a different chef than normal or perhaps the waiter adjusted the cook for us being Europeans. Still the food was excellent and considering the quality I think well priced £44 per head with half of that on Alcohol, coffees, desserts). Will certainly go back there again and would definitely recommend it."

"We have been missing for a couple of years but Stefano always reconfirms to the height of the situation. The food is as good as always, the service is ready and the staff is dedicated and very kind. The room is elegant as always and is not noisy.... only neo, as many also there is thought that the low lights “make atmosphere”.... but in reality you only get the pleasure of looking in your face, it does not allow you to see what is in the dish or to read the Menu, what ODIOSA that forces you to use the phone to make light! Anyway, it's always OK!"

"I don’t really do reviews. This is actually just the second time. But this place deserves it. What a gem! Manager and staff friendly as can be. But in an authentic way. Not the fake corporate hospitality style. They are serious about being friendly. And about their food. Excellent meat and sides. Plus, the gin tonic was great, too. (Should be a given, I know. Yet so many places succeed in messing it up, no? Being a business traveller from Munich I will definitely come back."

"The staff are so warm and friendly and welcoming. Food is delicious Greek dishes. Lively atmosphere later in the evening. Our waiter asked us to vacate our table when we had finished for a new group of people, but then gave us 2 free Amarettos each, on the house, for our trouble of moving table. No trouble at all. Will definitely be returning. Very reasonably priced too. Thank you."

"Called in on a whim and were greeted in a friendly and warm manner. Despite not having a reseveration we were promptly seated. Nice feeling inside, and decorated as you might expect. The food we ordered was nice, and reasonably priced. The staff who greeted us and waited on us were all very friendly. The menu felt like a menu you'd expect to see in Gordan Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares (not meant in a bad way), where its just perhaps a bit too long, where he then simplies it, reduces it down, and focuses on several really good dishes rather than lots of variety. I think that would work here, as most of the dishes are typically either chicken or pork, its not entirely obvious (to my uneducated self) what the real differences were. The only other criticism I would have were the table clothes. There were there, and they look really nice, but they had all been covered with a clear piece of plastic to protect the material/keep it clean, and make it easy to clean down. I fully understand the mentality of this, and the convenience for the restaurant, but it doesn't look that great. In short, nice food, reasonably priced, and I would visit again."

"As a chef for the past 10 years I know a genuine eatery when I go there. This place ticked all of the boxes. We arrived and they didn't have a table for us. We should definitely have booked ahead) but they managed to get us a table ready really quickly and without any fuss. Then once we say down the staff were the friendliest people you could imagine. In true Italian fashion they were kind generous and exceptionally well timed. We ordered some breads for the table. Various starters and pastas the truffle fettuccine was one of the best pastas I have eaten in a long time. That dish, along with the rest of the food brought me straight back to the restaurants in Italy. Thank you to you and all of your team."

"Felt like we 'd been mugged!. We went to Cafe Mode last Saturday afternoon and had a starter and a couple of burgers. Starter of Doughballs was okay, but noting great. We had two gourmet burgers for mains. Burgers were overcooked and nothing special. The french fries were okay. To look at the menu we were expecting a bill of around £28, through various crafty additions, £3 for the bottle of water on the table, extra £2 for goats cheese on a burger which came with cheese etc plus a manditory service charge) they had upped it to £43. The Service was okay but not worth a manditory 12.5%! Service was brisk and prompt but gave the overwhelming impression that we were being a...read more"

"Stumbled upon a fun Lebanese restaurant in Earl’s Court. Dinner was delicious, hosts were most welcoming and kind. Had three mezze: stuffed grape leaves; spicy potatoes; and makdous—baby aubergines stuffed with red peppers, walnuts and crushed garlic, pickled in extra virgin olive oil. Our mains were lamb shawarma and marinated king prawns. Chef’s complimentary baklava to end on a sweet note. A lot of great food (we ended up taking some home) at very reasonable prices."

"Im not a picky eater but the nachos i ordered were soggy and stale at the same time somehow. The sour and chive sauce tasted off,? Out of date i had to bin it. The burger (hot chick) was fully greasy barely any chicken?mostly greasy crust. the mac and cheese lollies were limp and greasy all i tasted was oil, it literally squeaked when i bit into them. Not worth the price feel unwell after trying it to be honest. Not worth the price whatsoever could have god w decent KFC for a third of the price."
"I love this place and my family and I go there around once every week, sometimes more. It's that good. Recently we had the most incredible experience when we noticed the bread was not fresh, expecting nothing. It wasn't stale or anything just not fresh. It was immediately taken away and replaced with fresh bread baked on our request. It is moderately priced but incredibly cheap with TasteCard. My only complaint is the price of soft drinks meaning that I never get them but £2.30 is not uncommon for this type of place, especially with other foods being so cheap. Also behind the bathroom is a storeroom which the door to is often open slightly strange but overall it's amazing. GO HERE!!!"

"Passed by this restaurant as my son and I were staying nearby. The restaurant was quiet for a Friday night so we were seated straight away. Staff were attentive and friendly, efficient and fast. Started with Poppadoms with chutneys and they were delicious and fresh. I had the Naga lamb which was spicy as advertised but not overpowering. My son has the chicken Jalfrezi, only comment I would make is the chicken 'strips ' were not the best we 've seen maybe I 'm not used to it. We shared an onion rice and garlic naan between us which was ample. Note there is a policy that you have to order one main each. drinks (330ml Fanta) about the norm for London around £2.65 each. Food was pretty good value. Overall impressed, impeccably clean and appeared to be well run. No added service charge, so free to tip if you wish I only had a card and wasn 't given the option to add when paying. Sorry guys ! Better than average without being exc optional. Whilst I wouldn 't go out my way to revisit, it still gets a solid 4 and if I were in Canary Wharf again, which is fairly unlikely, I would happily go back"
