A wedding venue that we love the most! Stunning everything and an awesome day out when you're not there for a wedding! Definitely the most beautiful place to set up our photo booths!

We had a lovely welcome and chose to sit outside as it was warm albeit wet. We had coffee and great cake. It was too early for lunch but I would have liked to try other things on the menu

fantastic, we were today afternoon to look at Christmas decoration a wonderful display, the room was nice and warm and no big crows of people so they were a good round the guides were very helpful and polite

Went for a traditional afternoon tea as a mother's day treat with my daughter. Could not fault the high standard of food and service. Lovely fresh sandwiches and cakes. The sausage roll was particularly yummy! Staff were friendly and attentive and showed excellent customer care. I will definitely return next time to try the savoury afternoon tea as that looked good too.

what a very impressive house. to see many and knowledgeable volunteers to answer questions. the "forgotten room" holds many curiosity from pastness. the gardens are full of flowers with easy access. the kitchen garden is excellent with products that are used in caffe and well-stocked building. look after the three sweet chestnut trees, about 450 years old. lots of free parking on site and via the street.

26/9/21 Very nice place. Staff are really friendly with one in the house very knowledgeable and even played the piano in the long gallery. House itself is nice to wonder around and has a very homely feel, as it is still lived in. Gardens equally so. Good food is provided in the cafe and a farm shop and even a cycle shop is available, and entering it is like stepping into a retail shop. We will definitely be returning.

only brilliant! the house is incredibly interesting and the guides are very knowledgeable and have so many funny facts about the house. the gardens were just as great if you are better! I am a professional gardener and I was so impressed by the preservation of formal gardens and topiaries. the walk around the gardens have a very funny activity to complete, the group I was with are all above the age of 25 and we had so much fun to finish the activity and the games on the gone! there is never a boring moment along the walk, and it was nice and quiet as well as despite a bank holiday on Monday! will definitely come back

We were here last week and tried to eat outside in the sun however were as others have said) plauged by wasps. We maybe ought to have noticed the large number of wasp catching devices hanging from wooden posts and on the backs of chairs but failed to do so ,at first not much of an issue but as the food arrived we were swarmed. Wasps were everywhere. Staff did acknowledge our plight and moved us inside but clearly as inside was fairly full could not do so for everyone. Ok this might be only a problem at certain times of the year however last week it was huge. Clearly they are awere of the issue hence the traps however they need to investigate some better way of manageing their wasp problem.Fo...

The service from the numerous ‘Events Assistants’ was attentive and friendly throughout, without being intrusive. The afternoon tea itself was delightful. I chose the traditional option while my husband went for the savoury tea. Both arrived promptly and presented beautifully on a cake stand, accompanied by a pot of Lincolnshire blend tea. The traditional tea included a good mix of sandwiches (egg, ham, coronation chicken, and pheasant), locally made sausage rolls, and an assortment of sweet treats, along with a large fruit scone.
