"Under new management. Totally refurbished and with a new chef we ate here off the Bistro menu. The staff were keen to please and very efficient. The food was of an incredibly high quality. The small plate starters were a fantastic opening followed by the gin cured salmon. The beef pave was cooked perfectly and served with real thought. Having eaten at the old Solo this was definitely a step up. Real Bistro dining in the heart of Sleaford. The web site on Trip Advisor is now incorrect. Try thesolo.bar/ ."

Good Pub, with good service good Drinkies. Place is a bit tired, but does what it says on the tin, serves good drinks. Good bit of entertainment with the fire alarm playing up the staff frantically trying to stop it. Thumbs up to a good ole fashioned pub.

In real need of a refresh, a bit drab dark but the steak was lovely, 2 for £35 includes a bottle of wine, ribeye or sirloin, peppercorn sauce is another £2.50 on top. Service was ok, had to ask for a menu, then couldn't find one when pointed out. Friendly atmosphere though.

Just been here with family for breakfast and I can thoroughly recommend. Full English breakfast was truly scrumptious. The food was piping hot and hot plates which I like and the quality of the food was excellent proper butcher's sausages not pink and plastic! . We had a fantastic welcome from who I think was the landlord and all the waiting staff were very friendly and obliging. Will definitely go again

I went to this comfortable bar and restaurant at lunchtime and ordered the all-day Full English breakfast. It was delicious, a highlight being the locally produced Lincolnshire sausage. There was excellent buttered sourdough toast, grilled fresh tomato, mushrooms, 2 rashers of bacon, 2 fried eggs, a hash brown, a small dish of baked beans and a slice of black pudding. This feast was accompanied by good coffee and good, unobtrusive background music, all for less than a tenner.

"Very good. this renovated and updated gastro pub has a beautiful, high-end feeling, without too posh. the personal is pleasant, real and well maintained. good drink selection! music selection didn't seem fit, but not extraordinarily. eating is exceptional, but, based on some personal preferences, there were slightly smaller disappointments with each dish. all were presented beautifully! the scallop starter was perfectly cooked, but there was an unexpected sticky texture on the sea red side. the chilis needed something sweet to balance them, but it was a nice warm pop. the acid from the grapefruit mixed with the petersilie mayonnaise drizzle, but both were delicious. some either flash-frozen or dry germinated greens gave beautiful texture, and the dish as a whole was beautiful. the duck ice starter was rich without being hard. slowly boiled (inspiring sous vide,) the egg was perfect. it was on a bed of slowly baked cheekwange, which is longing! some picking mushrooms have also added beautiful acid contrast. the brioche disc on which everything sat was not my favorite, but again can be personal preference. it seemed too thick, dense and sweet for the court. either would have been a nice sourded or an airy crawling cut my choice. again a very tasty dish. the healbutt main was absolutely wonderful! in butter lubricated, with fennel, white asparagus, a butter sauce with raw and squid-ink pasta. all with dill fronds. only small critique was the toughness of the tips of the braided fennel without knife, which is suitable for cutting through. a unique and very pleasant experience! it was great."
