"We were visiting the area and this was our local pub. The menu is really nice and got off to a great start with really nice starters and good wine. We both ordered different steaks, and unfortunately both were overcooked. We sent them back with no bother, and to be fair to the staff, they didn't charge us for any of the wine we had that evening to apologise for the mistake. Problem was that the steaks were still over-cooked 2nd time round too, but we didn't say anything. Also worth being aware there didn't seem to be a drinks-only part to this pub, it was just a restaurant inside, so nowhere really to relax pre/post dinner. Young staff members were a bit too keen and needed to listen/slow down a little! So, it was alright, I might give it another go, but with so many other great options in the area i'm not sure I would really!"

I enjoyed a peaceful dinner at this restaurant after the scare of the Coronavirus kept others away. The food was fantastic, though the lack of other diners did affect the atmosphere. I plan on returning as the food was delicious and the service was very attentive. View menu

Pub looks very inviting from the outside, but is a restaurant rather than a pub. The staff would not allow us to have a drink at the bar we had to go to our table. Ambience was soulless. food was good but the squid starter was very salty. Would not rush back to eat here.

We arrived a bit early, but no problems at all, we were made welcome. Food choice was good for a lunch and the food itself was fabulous. My wife had lemon sole and I had filet steak both cooked to perfection. Waiter was very pleasant an efficient. I have been at this restaurant a few times now and it never fails to impress me.
