"Ask is an Italian Restaurant situated in Northampton town centre. It is my favourite place to eat. It offers many pizza and pasta dishes which are so full of flavour. My favourite is the salmon pasta which is absolutely gorgeous. The range of pizza is really good too and you can add extra toppings. I have liked all the Ask restaurants I have been in mainly because the food is so delicious and not too expensive, but also because they have a modern feel to them. It always looks so clean and fresh and the service at Northampton has always been really good. There is a small bar area where you can have a drink and wait for a table although it does sometimes get a bit busy and crowded if there are a lot of people waiting. They do not book tables during the week unless it is for a group of people. The restaurant at Northampton is quite small, although it has some quirky little extra rooms which are nice and intimate and unusual. Nice if you want to sit somewhere a bit quieter or if there is a large group. If you like Italian food then Ask is the place to go as it is delicious food and a nice atmosphere. It is always my first choice of places to eat"

"Ordering a take-away through a popular delivery service my wife and I were not impressed when our starter was missed completely, extra toppings ordered were missing from the pizzas, and the side was missing from one of the desserts. When my wife contacted ASK to...query this, she was told that she had to contact the delivery service as it was not the fault of ASK. When she asked how the delivery could be responsible for the actual making of the pizza ASK responded by simply saying to contact the delivery service. Within 5 minutes someone else (assuming the manager) from ASK called back and when they were told what had been said they told us we must have mis-understood the initial person who answered the phone with no apology forthcoming. Putting the blame of their inadequate food on their delivery service is completely out of order SHAME ON ASK ITALIAN TWICKENHAM"

"I recently dined at this restaurant and was highly disappointed. The prices were steep, almost £20 per dish and was definitely not worth it. I ordered both mushroom risotto and spaghetti with king prawns. The risotto was incredibly salty to the point where it felt like I was eating pure salt. When I requested a replacement, they took our shared plates, mixed them together, added water, and reheated the same dish, which didn't improve the flavor at all. Not to be mentioned, the king prawns in the spaghetti were tiny and there were a few bugs flying around in the restaurant. I do not recommend this restauran! "The pasta and pizza dishes were very good, but a person had pork and it was really not good. He should've complained, but he didn't want to be in trouble. He ate very little and I think the waitress should have asked why he had hardly touched his food. It was probably a bad choice in an Italian restaurant. Service was good and the pig was the only complaint."

"we received a voucher from my father of my fiancé, so decided to book ask last week. we sat down and then offered another table with a window. although she had cramped, she had a view so no big problems. the service was very slow, the restaurant was busy and we had no fast service expected. Although several tables, including a table of 8, had before us (although we had ordered before), we thought they had forgotten us. one of the waiters has apologised. the food was ok, we had the cheese fondu and pumpkin arachni to begin what was nice. we had both pizzas for the porn that was more bland and the desserts (chocolate gnocchi and honeycomb cake) were ok. overall I will probably ask a mistake for future bookings and try out other places in exeter."

"The restaurant offers a nice variety of vegetarian and vegan dishes. However, during my visit, the two vegan dessert options were unavailable, leaving only sorbet as a choice. Additionally, they can accommodate gluten-free and vegan pizza bases, which can be requested through their Allergen folder. Overall, the menu options are available in separate menus for those with dietary restrictions. This review was last updated on September 16th, 2021."

"Horrendous service. Barely any customers were present and who I believe was the manager (the old nasty person who works there) snapped at the person I was with and hurried them so that she could leave (we saw her leave as soon as she finished the order), food was sub-par. Do not go to this terrible branch of subway. Will never return."

"well, the teig balls and chocolate torte were beautiful. they have my pizza order wrong. it was still vegan, but I just ordered mozzarella, but my came with tomato and rocket. the cheese itself was beautiful. all in all, very similar to zizzi (they are owned by the same company, so that makes sense.)"

"We go quite regularly as it is a convenient place for us three couples to meet and the food is quite good usually. This time though we had a couple of complaints to make, the starter described as on brioche, which three of our party had, was, it appeared, tomatoes on toast. I ordered the butternut squash risotto which really was pretty disgusting, a dish of slop totally unrecognisable in look or taste as rice. It was graciously and with apologies replaced with my choice of the chicken and mushroom risotto. delicious! But we shouldn't have to complain it really isn't nice"

"the food was cheap, and the portions were good, the staff was brilliant, cheerful and very helpful. the atmosphere was beautiful, with a view over piccadilly gardens that became better than the night dark. free homemade limonade at the arrival was also a beautiful note and tasted wonderful. the employees gave enough time to choose drinks first, then we left again so that we could choose food orders. the service was fast and the food was hot. the personal did not suggest us at all. so all in all, it was a nice experience, I would highly recommend."

"came to dinner on Friday night after a cursed room on the road here! there were 8 of us, but the personal could fit us. it took us to choose one because, but the waiter was patient and helpful. my son found it very difficult to choose because he had something special in the sense that was not on the menu! After trying to explain 3 employees what he wanted, they were very courteous and could do exactly what he wanted from a combination of other menu points! he loved it and all the other ordered meals were very tasty and good portions. deserts were delicious, huge profiterole was amazing and the children loved the chocolate gnocchi! good price, great service, beautiful atmosphere, would highly recommend and will return definitiw."

"stupidity. they can order and pay the app but can not get a signal and their wlan is müll. but it's good. the waitress told us from the beginning that we could either use the app or make it the old fashion. I like what the old kerl says in the Saga advertisement, it is not old-fashioned, it is vintage, yes! I would read the reviews before and the main problem seemed the time needed for the food, etc. little knew that escobar had a few hours to kill and so played this directly in my hands. first, clear to realize that she was a vip in, they served us some free house made lemon juice. the starter was one of the best I ever had in the world, and I was obviously too many excellent places for both business and pleasure. it was the nduja garlic cheese Dippy thing, double-Yummy. the most important meals were also delicious. the waiter was thrilled and polite and was rewarded with a nice tip. a nice couple of hours spent relaxing with great eating. pay attention to the step on the way to the gents. I've been lucky that I always have my weight over me and so it couldn't get me out, but ordinary types should be careful."

"The Kew Ask Italian is our favourite. Its a shame its from home, but its worththe drive! . The staff are freindly and attentitve, but not in your face'. Food is delicious. The noise level is good, not too noisy, but not like a library. Highly recommended. This was the time we've booked through opentable and the time the restraunt didnt get the reservation. I've now learned to phone them the day following making the reservation to confirm they have space, and usually have to book direct with Ask. This wont put us off Ask Italian, but it dosent give me confidence in using OpenTable."
"One of the best Italian restaurants I've ever visited. For those of us who aren't familiar with some of the more exotic Italian dishes, the menu can be a bit overwhelming. However, even the more familiar dishes are incredibly delicious and beautifully presented. The restaurant itself is clean, well-lit, and has a modern ambiance. It's fascinating to watch the chefs at work in the open kitchen; they conduct themselves with intelligence and professionalism. The staff is charming and friendly while maintaining a respectful distance, allowing guests to fully enjoy their meals. I highly recommend this restaurant – the food is fantastic, very satisfying, and a pleasure to eat there. My only critique is that the bowl for the profiterole is tall and narrow, making it difficult for the profiterole to stay put on the flat chocolate plate shown in the picture. Unfortunately, it rolled off, but it was too delicious to be a major issue. Overall, it’s a fantastic dining experience!"

"This was my first time dining at this restaurant and I was somewhat disappointed. The raspberry lemonade I ordered upon arrival was quite tasty. However, we had to wait around an hour for our main dishes to be served."

"Although the food at this restaurant was good, the service was extremely slow and disorganized. The starters arrived at different times, with one dish missing a part. We waited a long time for our mains and even after finishing our meal, it took 20-30 minutes for the dessert menu to be brought to us. When we finally asked for the bill and for our leftovers to be packed up, there was a delay in providing boxes. The staff only asked about payment method after we had already put on our coats and stood up. Despite a good vegan menu, the lack of cleanliness in the toilets and the overall lack of customer service led us to determine that we will not be returning or recommending this restaurant to others. It seemed that the staff were not motivated and the empty restaurant may have been explained by our own negative experience."

"we had the 18th birthday of our daughter there and the staff was very helpful. nothing was too much annoyed and eating was excellent. a member of our party has been taken uneasy and supported discreetly without causing any embarrassment. we even need to use a huge amount of tesco clubcard vouchers. thanks for a beautiful birthday"

"Took the girlfriend out on Saturday for her birthday to Ask. Waitress clearly in a job she doesn't want to be in,looked fed up and sruffy. The food was nice, which is the main thing. The place needs some comfy furniture, chairs are from our schooldays, a little music needs to be played, and the lighting needs to be dimmed a little. We had to ask for some plates and cutlery, we even had to ask for salt. I now know where it gets it's name , because you have to ask for everything."

"This was our first time at an Ask restaurant and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The staff were exceptionally friendly, polite, and attentive. The service was relatively quick, but not rushed, and the food was absolutely delicious. The children's meal option was great, offering 3 courses and a babychino for just under £7, while the adult main menu was very reasonably priced. As a family of 3 (2 adults, 1 child), we enjoyed a 3-course meal for nearly £60. We would definitely return if in the area and will keep an eye out for other Ask restaurants in different locations."

"The restaurant was really good, but the only issue was finding it. The website should provide clearer directions for people coming from rural areas who may not be familiar with navigating a large city. For example, stating that it is located next to Gloucester Road tube station, behind Waitrose, would have been incredibly helpful. Despite this, the menu was great, the food arrived promptly, and it was delicious."
