"My son asked me to make a reservation for a meal on Mothering Sunday, and at short notice I was able to book a Sunday lunchtime table through Open Table. Unfortunately, the restaurant did not have a record of our booking, but they had availability so the situation was quickly resolved and we were seated promptly. The menu provided a good variety of options for everyone, although we were not informed about the special set price Mother's Day menu. We shared two appetizers, and enjoyed our mains and desserts, all of which were delicious. The service for both drinks and food was attentive and polite without being overly pushy. Our only complaint is about the hard wooden chairs which have kept us from returning to this restaurant for some time. While there were padded benches on one side of some tables, none of them had four padded seats, which would have been more comfortable for people of a certain age. When I inquired about cushions, none were available. Other Ask restaurants we have dined at did not seem to have this issue, so I hope that Ask Northampton will take note of this. It's unfortunate that an otherwise enjoyable experience was marred by this issue."

"the cost of lunch (on Mothers day) was £57 for 3 people and the quality of the food was very poor i had tagliatelli carbonara which was dry and the pasta was stuck together, i sent the dish back but the replacement also had the pasta clumped together with very little sauce. the restaurant's toilets were out of service so there was only the disabled toilet for the whole restaurant. the staff were friendly but not very competent. The prices are high and the food quality is poor."

"Ordering a take-away through a popular delivery service my wife and I were not impressed when our starter was missed completely, extra toppings ordered were missing from the pizzas, and the side was missing from one of the desserts. When my wife contacted ASK to...query this, she was told that she had to contact the delivery service as it was not the fault of ASK. When she asked how the delivery could be responsible for the actual making of the pizza ASK responded by simply saying to contact the delivery service. Within 5 minutes someone else (assuming the manager) from ASK called back and when they were told what had been said they told us we must have mis-understood the initial person who answered the phone with no apology forthcoming. Putting the blame of their inadequate food on their delivery service is completely out of order SHAME ON ASK ITALIAN TWICKENHAM"

"the pasta and pizza dishes were very good, but a person had pork and it was really not good. he should've complained, but he didn't want to push up. he ate very little and I think the waitress should have asked why he had barely touched his eating. it was probably a bad choice in an Italian restaurant. service was good and the gay was the only complaining."

"We frequent this restaurant often to meet with three other couples because it is conveniently located and the food is usually quite good. However, on our most recent visit, we had a few complaints. The starter, described as Brioche with tomatoes, looked more like tomatoes on toast to three members of our group. I ordered the butternut squash risotto, which was truly revolting - it resembled a sloppy mess with no resemblance to rice in appearance or taste. The staff graciously replaced it with apologies, and I opted for the chicken and mushroom risotto instead, which was delicious. Despite our complaints, we try to refrain from being too critical as it is not nice."

"A tasty lunchtime meal that was reasonably priced. The atmosphere was also nice to sit in and the staff were very friendly. They were fairly limited on the ingredients available on a Friday afternoon so only 4 stars from me on this occasion. I'd happily go back and eat there again though."
"came to dinner on Friday night after a cursed room on the road here! there were 8 of us, but the personal could fit us. it took us to choose one because, but the waiter was patient and helpful. my son found it very difficult to choose because he had something special in the sense that was not on the menu! After trying to explain 3 employees what he wanted, they were very courteous and could do exactly what he wanted from a combination of other menu points! he loved it and all the other ordered meals were very tasty and good portions. deserts were delicious, huge profiterole was amazing and the children loved the chocolate gnocchi! good price, great service, beautiful atmosphere, would highly recommend and will return definitiw."

"well, the teig balls and chocolate torte were beautiful. they have my pizza order wrong. it was still vegan, but I just ordered mozzarella, but my came with tomato and rocket. the cheese itself was beautiful. all in all, very similar to zizzi (they are owned by the same company, so that makes sense.)"
"the food was cheap, and the portions were good, the staff was brilliant, cheerful and very helpful. the atmosphere was beautiful, with a view over piccadilly gardens that became better than the night dark. free homemade limonade at the arrival was also a beautiful note and tasted wonderful. the employees gave enough time to choose drinks first, then we left again so that we could choose food orders. the service was fast and the food was hot. the personal did not suggest us at all. so all in all, it was a nice experience, I would highly recommend."

"Horrendous service. Barely any customers were present and who I believe was the manager (the old nasty person who works there) snapped at the person I was with and hurried them so that she could leave (we saw her leave as soon as she finished the order), food was sub-par. Do not go to this terrible branch of subway. Will never return."
"I visited ASK two weeks ago with my mother, brother and his partner. They have a wide range of drinks, from wine to cocktails, soft drinks and hot drinks. The food was absolutely amazing, we had the sharing plates with followed by pasta for nets. It was so delicious and we didn't have to wait long. We had coffee to finish, it was a bit bitter, but was okay, that was the only disappointment. The portion sizes are generous and at such a reasonable price. I'm a student, so I had more discount with my UNI Days app, so the whole meal was such a good price for all of us! The service was absolutely fantastic, we had a creepy waiter who was extremely attentive, the music was very loud when we arrived and we asked that it would turn away and it was without hesitation. I'm so glad we found this place, we'll come back!"
"The Kew Ask Italian is our favourite. Its a shame its from home, but its worththe drive! . The staff are freindly and attentitve, but not in your face'. Food is delicious. The noise level is good, not too noisy, but not like a library. Highly recommended. This was the time we've booked through opentable and the time the restraunt didnt get the reservation. I've now learned to phone them the day following making the reservation to confirm they have space, and usually have to book direct with Ask. This wont put us off Ask Italian, but it dosent give me confidence in using OpenTable."

"general information: Italian cuisine (booking a table recommended) my favourite bit: that I have ordered two appetizers and that was a good food for me! and this amazing garlic bread! thin, fresh, soft, tasty, ei! ask for free butter, especially if you did not order me cheese. oh, my days! my worst piece: they have no mocktail prizes for cocktails. I ordered a delicious fruity mojito and asked her that they did not add alcohol because their available mocktails were boring for me. I have calculated the full cocktail price cocktail so think about going ready to pay for such or ready to negotiate for a cheaper price when they order. I'm sorry, the negotiations were not my priority at the moment, so I'm not sure how that could be out to be fair and absolutely honest "

"very nice restaurant and much refreshing, real Italian cuisine instead of burger, which they find in all other restaurants. I had a very good carbonara with a rich and (not too) creamy sauce. a good place to go if they are looking for something delicious and really different!"
"One of the best Italian restaurants I've ever visited. For those of us who aren't familiar with some of the more exotic Italian dishes, the menu can be a bit overwhelming. However, even the more familiar dishes are incredibly delicious and beautifully presented. The restaurant itself is clean, well-lit, and has a modern ambiance. It's fascinating to watch the chefs at work in the open kitchen; they conduct themselves with intelligence and professionalism. The staff is charming and friendly while maintaining a respectful distance, allowing guests to fully enjoy their meals. I highly recommend this restaurant – the food is fantastic, very satisfying, and a pleasure to eat there. My only critique is that the bowl for the profiterole is tall and narrow, making it difficult for the profiterole to stay put on the flat chocolate plate shown in the picture. Unfortunately, it rolled off, but it was too delicious to be a major issue. Overall, it’s a fantastic dining experience!"

"This was our first time at an Ask restaurant and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The staff were exceptionally friendly, polite, and attentive. The service was relatively quick, but not rushed, and the food was absolutely delicious. The children's meal option was great, offering 3 courses and a babychino for just under £7, while the adult main menu was very reasonably priced. As a family of 3 (2 adults, 1 child), we enjoyed a 3-course meal for nearly £60. We would definitely return if in the area and will keep an eye out for other Ask restaurants in different locations."
"we had the 18th birthday of our daughter there and the staff was very helpful. nothing was too much annoyed and eating was excellent. a member of our party has been taken uneasy and supported discreetly without causing any embarrassment. we even need to use a huge amount of tesco clubcard vouchers. thanks for a beautiful birthday"

"The restaurant was really good, but the only issue was finding it. The website should provide clearer directions for people coming from rural areas who may not be familiar with navigating a large city. For example, stating that it is located next to Gloucester Road tube station, behind Waitrose, would have been incredibly helpful. Despite this, the menu was great, the food arrived promptly, and it was delicious."

"We decided to try the pizza and the lenses Ragu Pasta dish and we enjoyed it very much! They also make Americano coffee with soy milk. There is a dedicated vegan menu, but you need to ask for it. Many choices and there are also vegan children's dishes. The staff is friendly and friendly, highly recommended!"

"Although the food at this restaurant was good, the service was extremely slow and disorganized. The starters arrived at different times, with one dish missing a part. We waited a long time for our mains and even after finishing our meal, it took 20-30 minutes for the dessert menu to be brought to us. When we finally asked for the bill and for our leftovers to be packed up, there was a delay in providing boxes. The staff only asked about payment method after we had already put on our coats and stood up. Despite a good vegan menu, the lack of cleanliness in the toilets and the overall lack of customer service led us to determine that we will not be returning or recommending this restaurant to others. It seemed that the staff were not motivated and the empty restaurant may have been explained by our own negative experience."
