"I was recently asked why I no longer have local restaurants in South London. my answer to this question or demand from some is a small Thai restaurant with seat in clapham that ticks all boxes whether they want to invite a large group or want a private dining room experience, good service, indoor and outdoor kitchen. Oh, but eat it! I like so many of them, choose what I feel, with or what is familiar, but I felt adventurous perhaps it was the smokey red decor that lured me into an adventurous condition. but I decided to order "lost in blvd" which is a rich lamb in massaman curry with kartoffel and erdnuss. I know that they have often heard this when people can't find...read more"

"absolutely brilliant eating, very inexpensive and friendly, welcoming, very efficient staff. I know. the portions are large, the falafel meal, on the menu as a hot starter, is to place the size of a main course at others. main dishes from the grill and...wraps are as one or two spits, so portion sizes for all appetite. it is not just a grill, but there is an amazing selection of food and drinks available here. Why do I tell you? If everyone finds out how good this place is, I'm complaining only if I can't get a place next. a really fantastic place very recommended. the only part is the position, within the concrete, pedestrian zone can not win, all I suspect. ignore the location, but the restaurant and the personal are excellent."

Chinese
"My partner and I were really looking forward to this meal. She mentioned that she hadn't had Chinese food in a while and wanted to satisfy her craving. Unfortunately, this wasn't the right place for it. The food was just average, and while the service was decent, the atmosphere felt lacking since it was a midweek visit. However, when we received the bill, I found it quite excessive for what we had. Overall, it was a bit of an anticlimax and didn't convince me to choose Chinese over a Thai meal."

"this is the best chinese in edinburgh. that is not saying tons, cause it just aint that good here. you want indian, you got the best, chinese is just ehhh. there is one thing they have here which i havent seen in other countries and pretty much the only reason to come here. crispy seaweed. its genius. ive been told its really just fried cabbage, but i dont really believe that. it doesnt matter what it is, it is crispy, flaked perfection with a funky herb thingy on it and peanuts. nothing else is spectacular but get the noodles instead of the rice, not bad. the crispy shredded beef is probably the best and also part of the various set meals you can get if you are dining with others. sit in and delivery. if you get over a certain amount of food, they give you extra crap, ranging from those fish cracker things to an entire second entre, and you dont have to get that much, like 12 or 15 quid worth. good location on the shore in leith, makes a great sunday night to then play pub trivia at the cameo bar or just grab a pint across the street after at carriers quarters."

"Despite getting slightly confused by the layout of West Smithfield (as usual) I had a really lovely evening in Cellar Gascon a few nights ago, and must recommend it to anyone in the area looking for a sophisticated tipple and Michelin quality snacks. Cellar Gascon is the wine-bar little-brother of Club Gascon, Pascal Aussingnac’s Michelin-starred SW-French restaurant next door. They have their fingers in various pies, having recently launched pop-up Duck’n’Roll (a fabulous addition to Street Feast) and also running Comptoir Gascon, Cigalon and Baranis. The wine bar was relaxed, with couples, some suits and a few small groups making it chilled but busy enough on a Thursday evening. We got cracking with the wine of the week, a delicious Languedoc Cepage Rolle 13, for £27 a bottle. They change them every week and put real effort into sourcing a stellar list, and many are exclusive to the venue. This one was soft and fruity, not too heavy and inherently drinkable. Food followed, and is a menu of small plates to compliment the wines. I loved our gorgeous board of cured meats, a cheeseboard arranged in the order in which you should eat them, and a little bonus at the end of duck pastrami with black garlic aioli. The pastrami was rich and salty, and the aioli packed a punch but without any harshness – I could’ve eaten both all day. Despite the quality food is reasonable, and they do an express lunch for £6, add £3 for starter, dessert or cheese and £2 for wine. I wish I worked closer."

"eat pretty good, but I recommend definitiw for her first time here with someone familiar with Nigerian cuisine, so they get some instructions on menu choices. my colleagues who bought me here have both inherited Nigerian, so was in good hands! However, we ordered at least 30 minutes via the phone, as they warn me that the order in the restaurant itself would take some time as everything is freshly cooked. I decided to get jollof rice with fish £5.99) and a order of plantains too, but when we came there, one of my fellow moin moin bean cake had ordered), plantains fish that look super delicious! the spicy in the food remembered the Indian cooking art, but the heat / spice tasted differently. I really liked my plan, so highly recommended, but I thought the jollof rice ate a bit too dry. also my piece fish would have had more curry. the moin moin was super tasty and pretty dense, but not chew. first I thought it was vegetarian, but later realized that it was pieces of meat inside, and not sure what it was, and for the rest of the afternoon felt guilty, had accidentally eaten bark, which is a protein that I avoid since grown up in Hindu faith. there are other interesting things on the menu, and I'm a noviz when it comes to nigerian food, so I wouldn't mind checking others on the menu again. yelp 13/2019"

I could definitely have had a hot beef pahadi, but I'll have that next next time, as we'll definitely be returning."

"Really enjoyed our Curry Night at the Bombay Lounge! The ambience is simple, but it 's clean. Food was great, came in reasonable time and the service was friendly and quick on his feet. The only issue was down to the inclement weather outside. It was very cold outside, and because people were leaving and coming regularly, the room went cold quickly. But it 's more of a design fault of the premises rather than the restaurant 's problem, so I wouldn 't consider it a big deal. I will come back once the weather is better :"

"temptation and lingerie wafted through the cold stifling doors that stood at the start of a journey. A mission. A passion. A duplex packet of flavour ready to be ripped open and devoured, something my cold fingers had not touched for quite some time. As my food cat walked towards my nose hairs a colage of emotions took hold. Ensnaring my taste buds in a fox trot of lust. I could wait nolonger, it must be now. Spooning the mound of spice herbs and meat gently towards my chapped dry lips resentment came over me. I can’t. I’m married. As if in an instant the enjoyment from the stench of curry and naan became sickening, what was I about to do? Ruin my life for what? Passion, prejudice and parliamentary persecution of emotion. Nolonger could I edge on the hope of gnawing on the teets of ambition while suckling on the derier of defeat. And to you my friend my omage goes to you, in faithfulness and succulence I leave you to make your own journey. To make not become fingered by temptation."

"Grosvenor Fish Bar has everything to be an icon of Norwich. Franken I am not a fan of fish and chips because the typical versions are just a carb loaded fat affair. Nevertheless, this place let me see what good quality fish and chips could be. Our table ordered cod, squid and tuna. I am not a fan of bland white fish, but the possibility of having the fat tuna as an option was Godsend for me. My wife ordered the bass with sass wrap and also loved it when considering how this dish is a modern recording on traditional fish and chips. We also ordered the Mussels from Brussels and the garlic butter sauce goes well with the chips and we also used it on our fish. The ambience is also great where we had booked a table and brought us to the bunker underground and this is another unique selling point. The price is also worth it and we came from lunch all well fed and happy."

"On each of our three recent visits we have been welcomed with open arms. Various meals from the menu were ordered together with a selection of drinks. Every part of the meal has been excellent including presentation, portion sizes and complete value for the price. The staff have all been great, including a very exuberant manager who cannot do enough to please and is very generous with his free offers (On the house). He is very forthcoming at the end of each meal to offer a free glass of Raki. Other than during Covid lockdown we have been going to this restaurant since the first day it opened and consider it to be an asset to Huntingdon. In our opinion it would be a complete loss to the town should it cease to trade. So give it your support."

"Since this got took over by Indians it’s gone right down hill, I used to be a regular at the great lovely big standard the people before set but chicken tikka chips sent be violently ill for 12 hours out of both holes same time, a chicken bap 2 weeks later (they were looking inside the big square boxes ring to detect what meat it was) with apple sauce stuffing, that sent me running to the toilet too. Il only ever use them for a plain portion chips if I ever have to. What’s with the vapes and alcohol fridge on counter, it may aswell be an off license greediness which has hopefully gone against them. Far cry from the high standard English chip shop previous owners great staff ran, brilliant people they were. Now half the portions for more money.Such a shame it came to this, I never knew they were selling up. Makes my property nearby devalued, nothing to boast about anymore."

"I am extremely disappointed with the customer service at this restaurant. It used to be a favorite spot of ours, but recently it seems they are taking advantage of customers by overcharging and serving lower quality food. It's unacceptable to charge high prices for food that is no longer worth it. This is not the first time we have had issues with our orders being incorrect or overcharged. It's time for this restaurant to address these issues and improve their attitude towards their customers."

"This is the best desi/Pakistani breakfast place in Nottingham. Everything is very tasty. We as a group of friends ate paratha, omelete, halwa puri, nan chanay, paye, nihari, and qeema matar. All these items were delicious. Desi and pink tea as well as kheer are also tasty. The place is basically a hidden gem in the city. Highly recommended place with taste and service."
