"Many people would agree that one of the best ways to improve a meal is to wrap it up in a delicious buttery pastry parcel. That's exactly what my flatmate and I discovered when we stumbled upon an award-winning pie shop on our way to East London. Just a short bus ride from our house, we found Piebury Corner, located near the home of Arsenal. Inspired by the legends of Arsenal's past, each pie is named after a football great and filled with amazing fillings. The shelves were stocked with gourmet pies waiting to be enjoyed by customers, either hot or cold. But Piebury Corner offers more than just pies - they also sell a variety of British products and have a full bar where you can enjoy a pint of fine British ale or beer with your pie. I chose the Ray Parlour pie, a hearty combination of pork, apple, and stuffing, which did not disappoint. The pastry was light and buttery, with a delicious crust. I also couldn't resist trying the Black Pudding Scotch Egg, which was equally delicious. If you're a pie lover, make sure to visit Piebury Corner for a truly satisfying experience. While it may be best to avoid on match days, any other day is perfect for enjoying a delicious pie and a pint outside in the sun. Don't miss out on trying the Ian Wright and the Thierry Henry pies as well. Enjoy! - The Food Snobs x"
