"We always go to Bills but our last couple of visits have been awful. We decided to come back last night as we had hoped our previous poor experience might’ve been a one off sadly we we’re wrong. Starter took 40 mins we think they forgot to process it. When the mains arrived, One was okay, But the other was like warm and the chicken was very dry, no amount of Mayo could save it! The chips were also soggy and cold. When the server came to ask if our meals were okay, we said no but it was too late to wait for a replacement meal, so didn’t bother eating it. The manager did not charge us for the inedible meal or starter, but this is not the first time this has happened and it wasn’t even busy. We also noticed other guests returning their meals, so clearly something wasn’t right. It’s such a shame as we have enjoyed many good meals here before"

"Lovely dinning experience for the price, 25 28 change with service added charge) for a set 3 course and glass of chandon sparkling wine. (Note they display the same offer at restaurant for 24.50 minus the glass of bubbly) The service was good, lady was very friendly and attentive, however she seemed to be waiting by herself at one point, while her colleagues wondered around not doing much The only complaint was the seating by the window was very uncomfortable as the chairs were very low, so legs were at an awkward angle. So if you have an problems with knees,legs, back etc best to ask to be seated at one of regular dining tables or booths All in all was a lovely dining experience for a girls night out, fancy decor, but very inviting, great portion size, nice presentation and a decent steak!"

"We attended last night as a walk in table of 7.... The food was exemplary. They needed more staff as we had to wait for a while for food and drinks to arrive. But the food (main course) was so tasty and well presented and everyone enjoyed their meals... Deserts could have been better but that's down to personal taste.. Bill was a bit high for what we received but overall a solid 4. Drop prices a bit and you will be full constantly... But overall impressed..."

"So glad I found this cafe. It was the first time I have been able to eat out in a shopping centre without having to worry about stuffing myself with junk food. There was plenty of choice on the menu so hard to decide! In the end I ordered the Keto Breakfast and the Berry Skinny Smoothie, plus two cups of tea and the quality of everything was excellent. Drinks came in good time, but the food service was a bit slow (otherwise I would have given 5 stars). I will definitely be looking to eat here again next time I visit the Victoria Centre."

"absolutely fantastic! came here to lunch after it was recommended by a working mate, a beautiful walk from home in haslingden, had a fantastic lunch and a great walk back. they can sit inside or outside and sit outdoors was wonderful, almost felt like in the country. I have the steak, red wobbles and the best ciabatta and the woman had steak and eggs, both were fantastic and almost taste wood stove cooked.? the personal was really polite and helpful and it was extremely easy to book a time online before going, was literally two clicks . will definitely return with family and friends and even the children can try the pizzas when they have luck!"

"Place it is by the Thames, has a beautiful view, I am sure during summer is even more beautiful there and therefore busy. I took my husband there for a brunch for his birthday , I did have a Groupon voucher. I knew we have bottomless prosseco and breakfast, but what we received was above our expectations. We had 4 proper mixers with the prosecco, was all fruit puree orange, passion fruit, strawberry, peach and with extra fruit nevertheless. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. I had a vegetarian brunch with bacon I know is simple but the spinach was cooked for perfection, so were the eggs and hallumi , my husband had the waffle with chicken. Unfortunately we had to run so could not enjoy entirely the bottomless prosseco. Only complain we have is that the place was a bit cold and the music is just not right for this place or at least not for weekend daytime, maybe for Fri or Sat night. Definitely we will go back. Thank you for the delicious food for the kitchen staff and the great service for our waitress."

"We visited this restaurant to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and I can't believe I only discovered it a few weeks ago. The staff were excellent—very friendly and went above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable. For dinner, I had the fillet steak cooked medium rare, while my husband opted for the ribeye, also medium rare. We added some sauces: I chose the creamy mushroom sauce, and my husband had the peppercorn sauce. Our meals were served with triple-cooked chips, mushrooms, tomatoes, and sweetcorn. We also shared an "onion rose," which was a beautifully battered onion shaped like a rose. Everything was cooked to perfection, and the steaks were done exactly to our liking. After our meal, we stayed to try a couple of cocktails, which were delightful. We will definitely be back, and I want to extend our thanks to the staff for making it such a wonderful evening."

"First of all I wouldn‘t recommend eating inside the cafe as the staff is washing the dishes by hand behind the counter which creates a noise level that makes any conversation impossible. After changing our seats and a wait of about 30 minutes we received our food. Both „Milkwood Breakfasts“ were missing the bacon. The waitress had to check back with the kitchen if the dish actually is supposed to have bacon. Mind the menu is not that big. The worst part though was the hair we found in one of the dishes (huevos rancheros). After communicating this to the staff they took the dish, waited a few minutes and brought back the exact same plate (we knew because there were some tomatoes on the plate that aren’t usually part of the dish but ended up on the plate as one of my friends doesn’t like them). Regarding the bacon and the hair, their mistakes resulted in our food being colder than it had to be but without any compensation. We still ended up paying the full price as well. Regarding the food itself, pretty unspectacular and really not worth the above average price. The outside/garden area looks rather shabby. Bird poo on the tables and chairs. I would not recommend this place to anybody."

"I visited Bill's to celebrate my birthday and the service I received was outstanding. The staff were all very kind and wished me a happy birthday. When my friend and I ordered a slice of cake to share, the staff brought it out with candles and even sang happy birthday! I always enjoy a little extra birthday celebration, so I was thrilled. It really made the day feel extra special."

"I visited balans for a prominent brunch with uni friends after our last hand. it was quite quiet (unsurprising since it was 10 o'clock on Monday) and they quickly put together a table for the five of us. at the end my friend and I shared the speck pancakes and eggs benedict and it was delicious. the eggs were boiled to perfection, served in English muffins with strokes of hollandaise, while the pancakes were thick and fluffy, the speck tasted perfect. the beautiful at balans is that they really do any breakfast option, pancakes, French toast, eier, chorizo con papas, avocado toast, that are going to do. they would find something that suits every breakfast taste. we followed our breakfast with a round celebrity drinks. the girls decided for cocktails while I stuck with prosecco what was delicious. the girls loved that they are cocktails, but said they were a bit strong, but maybe that was just because it was a Monday morning! they have a service fee of 12.5% on the bill, but we have nothing to pay about because the service was fab, they were attentive and fast, but let us relax and also don't let us out. the meal was really reasonable, with breakfast and a round drinks, including service fees worked around £17 a head, quite reasonable for london! I was really impressed by everything, a frequent visitor in westfield, I tried many of the restaurants and that was one of my favorites. I will definitely return to try the lunch menu!"

"I used to rave about how brilliant Garbutts was. I'm really disappointed to say I won't be going again. I can only assume they have a new chef, because it was honestly the blandest food I've ever tasted. I cannot fathom the effort it would take to remove so much flavour from a meal; we had four different dishes and all four tasted of absolutely nothing. On top of this, it's far too bright in there to have an intimate meal, the music is far too loud and all chatter echoes so hard that you have to shout to hear each other speak. What on earth happened to this place? They still have lovely staff, which is the only thing that stops this being a one star review."

"Additionally, there were guests from the motel mingling around the bar asking for drinks, which was quite uncomfortable and felt a bit inappropriate. It was disheartening to see, especially since this isn't what you anticipate when going out for a meal. However, our server, a young woman who I believe was named Lynsey, was wonderful. She went above and beyond to assist us and was incredibly friendly. You could tell she was under a lot of pressure and didn't have much support, but she was fantastic and definitely deserves more help. I would consider returning, but probably just for a quick meal."

"We..booked a table..arrived on time ..was seated.. looked at the very sticky menus...(There where notices everywhere informing us the place was closing 7th May ..for a Refurb. We tried to order on the QR code stuck to the end of the table...and it came up with the lockeepers page then asked for you to pay £3 to varyfy the payment i had all ready put in my bank details to pay...then it took us to another page and we couldn't go any further... on asking the landlord..he said that wasn't the right page he didn't know how it had happened. not even looking at the QR Code on the table... We ordered food at the bar 2 chicken sizzlers and a fish and chips. food arrived hot ..and very minimalist compared to the pictures...when asking a member of staff they said that's the normal portion..I had two small pieces of sprouting broccoli not even half a pepper and a quarter of a onion...bothe portions where the same..with a piece of chicken out of a multi bag from farm foods ..very dry and crispy around the edges...the chips with the fish chips had been double dipped in the fryer for the colour on them.. all together..never coming back..and won't enter one of these pubs again. Oh and the QR code is a company advertising there gaming company charge you £3 and the £27.99 every fortnight if you don't cancel it withing the first 24 hours..thankfully we started looking into it as soon as we got home..because we didn't want to be robbed again for the second time in the same night..."

"Such a great place with fantastic food and the best atmosphere. They make sure the produce is always fresh and a good balance between supporting local producers and getting key ingredients directly from Greece. It's our second visit and we were so happy with the food as usual. We had the open fish and open chicken kebabs and they were to die for. Our favourite starter is the courgettes fritters, they are the best! And the beetroot hummus is excellent too! And the chips... And the bread... Everything! We can't wait to come again and try more of their menu. Keep it up guys :"

"After booking a table for persons at we arrived to find no table prepared for us.In fact a single gentleman was asked to move whilst eating so that a table could be made ready. When presented with menus we were told that the...Turkey was not available.....ok. Drinks ordered( although the Argentine Malbec at a bottle was given a miss) we awaited our Roast lamb, beef and I x nut roast. After a reasonable wait, dinners were served. To say that the portions were meagre would be an understatement, but the quality of the food was, at best, poor. The lamb had probably been put aside earlier in the day, as too fatty and tough. The roast potatoes on my the size of a marble) were rock hard with no middle to them. small stem of broccoli and small batons of carrot and (I think a slice of parsnip, plus a mountain of frozen garden peas consisted of the vegetable. A hard, tasteless Yorkshire Pudding completed the plate. We requested extra gravy, but this never arrived. All lamb dinners and the beef were described as underwhelming.....the nut roast....ok, but spoilt by the Yorkshire pudding.. We were asked mid meal how it was, to which the unanimous answer was....could be better. Upon completion of food we again spoke with the unfortunate waiter and vented our disappointment. In fairness he went to the kitchen and passed on our comments. When asked if we required a desert, the consensus was that we did not want to risk being further disappointed and declined. The waiter was overheard by of our party speaking with the Manager on the telephone, and was quite forcibly sharing our complaint with him/her. He did come back to the table and advised that we would not be charged for the round of drinks as compensation. This was welcomed, but we all would have preferred a much improved meal. Perhaps being towards the end of the day was responsible for our poor food. Although, of course....early or late should not affect quality."

"This is an updated review, we initially went here and gave them 4 stars, however the last visit was terrible and consistency is key to a good restaurant! Spent £52 on a burger and a platter and I must say probably some of the worse food we have had! Meat was very dry and had a lot of gristle in the burger, no flavour and just bad. I did email the restaurant to let them know but didn't get a response! We won't be going here again unfortunately"

"Terrible customer service dry, tasteless cakes. All cakes left out for people to breathe over and touch, didn’t feel covid safe at all. Worst part was the customer service, the lady making the coffees was incredibly rude. She isn’t even bringing coffees to the...tables, she just dumps them on the side and shouts the order like you’re in Costa or Starbucks, not what you expect when you’re paying a premium. Oh and if you’re sat outside and don’t hear her then that’s your problem, she won’t bring it out to you or shout the order again so you’ll be left with a cold coffee. The coffee was average and the cakes were dry and tasteless. Obviously bought in frozen and defrosted, not fresh at all. Floor and tables were filthy, we didn’t feel comfortable eating in there. Was handed a dirty fork to eat with too. There was also an engineer doing work in the food prep area without a mask or any PPE. And the food delivery guy was just walking through the tables and kitchen prep area with massive boxes and again no mask or PPE. Don’t get what the hype is about, the place is absolutely grim! Won’t be going back and won’t recommend to anyone."
