"Lovely location, stunning views, very clean but some some rooms are little dated, room 23 at the top is not ideal if you have any health issues, it's bit of a trek and 2 flights stairs, we had many rooms between us as we were staying for a wedding so it was good to see the variations. As I said rooms are clean but some need little tlc but if it's just for sleeping it's perfect. Most of the staff wee helpful and polite a couple seemed a little abrupt and not very co operative . Didn't like the way the clea n linen was left outside each room on the dirty corridor carpet so that could easily be addressed, and should be. The food was amazing can't fault it. Reasonably priced and good selection. I d definitely pop in for a meal but not sure I'd stay over again. However the hotel is relaxed and friendly. Great for weddings."

Went to my daughters a wedding. It's being done up. So was a bit restricted. Staff were excellent. Full English breakfast was very good.

Was there to drop some stuff off for a wedding. Beautiful building and they are clearly investing into the place. Better signage would have been good, but the staff were fab.

Held our daughters wedding here yesterday and a great time was had by all. Louise and all the staff were fantastic, very efficient and so friendly. The ceremony and function rooms are lovely. Thank you Grains Bar staff for helping to make the day go smoothly.

Lisa and her team provided an outstanding afternoon tea experience. Attention to detail, variety, quality and made to feel very welcome. Catered to special dietary requirements and went out of her way to make it a great birthday treat for my mum. Thanks again!

We had a lovely stay. Staff were very welcoming, and happy to help. It was the staff Christmas do on the night we stayed but they were still ‘up and at ‘em’ in the morning to cook an excellent breakfast. Room was warm comfortable, with a nice new bathroom. Lovely views walks from the location too.

My wife and and I went for Sunday lunch, we both had the roast which was lovely with thick slices of tender beef plus lots of hot crispy veg. A bottle of San Miguel each followed by a very nice apple crumble and custard for myself and a large chocolate brownie and cream for my wife. Good pleasant service and great value for money.

We had my daughter's wedding here last week and it was wonderful. The wedding room looked amazing; the meals were piping hot and delicious: Louise and the team were fabulous, she made sure the day ran smoothly and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their stay. Everyone reported that their rooms were spotless: the sun shone and the peacocks came to visit too! thank you for making sure the day was amazing

I went here for a pre-wedding meal. The food was delicious. The service, excellent. The staff really looked after us. The following day was my son's wedding and again, we were really looked after by everyone. The views are stunning. The room was set up beautifully and again, the food was delicious. There were lots of lovely things around the room such as a memory table for those who sadly aren't with us any longer and a table view board. There was a park area gor the children too. All these things added to the day. I would highly recommend this as a wedding venue.
