"We didn't plan on eating at this restaurant specifically, we happened to stumble upon it and we're so glad we did! The staff were incredibly friendly and took our temperatures before seating us. They were welcoming and went above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable, a true asset to the business. Me and my friend ordered starters and mains, with mine pictured here. The food was fantastic and reasonably priced for the high quality we received. We couldn't resist ordering dessert because the food was so good. Honestly, the next time I visit Durham, I will make sure to dine here before anywhere else. Thank you to all the staff! 10/10."

"highly recommended, sapores, my husband and I went as last minute booking for my birthday and I honestly had a brilliant experience. they will not be disappointed. first, the decor was beautiful! everything from the facility to the toilet was clean and immaculate. we were served by ikram who was asking with his friendly service and his recommendation as well as the others who all came to us several times how the food/shot was and when we needed something I never felt so relaxed and happy. other companies need to learn a few things about sapores staff labels! we went with ikram's suggestion of Shisha-Aroma; tropical vibes and it was the best taste I've been trying for a long time. the food met the place and presentation was immaculate. the burgers were full of taste and so were the chiffren, juicy and juicy. as I told the owner who asked us how everything was my answer; a* with a . they don't get this kind of service anywhere and it was the best. keep it up, I hope nothing but the growth of their business. "The roast lamb dish I had at this restaurant was the most disappointing meal I have ever experienced dining out. The quality of the broccoli was poor, as it was beginning to spoil and was extremely hard. The frozen roast potatoes and meat were also unpleasant, being tough and difficult to chew. The entire table of diners was left feeling let down by the underwhelming meal. The appearance of the food did not even look appetizing. Additionally, the table we were seated at was not properly cleaned beforehand and showed signs of wear and tear. Despite these shortcomings, the staff members were polite and friendly. Overall, I would rate the food as 1 out of 5 stars."

"Visited for Valentine's lunch with my partner. I had devilled chicken skewers, crispy chicken and sesame dumplings, carrot cake doughnuts, and a matcha coconut latte. He had steak and eggs, a warm triple chocolate brownie, and tropical juice. I absolutely loved everything I ordered, everything...was delicious and quite unique I'd never eaten anything like the carrot cake doughnuts before and they were gorgeous. My partner, on the other hand, wished he'd ordered something a little more exciting as he said his food was pretty average and nothing to write home about. So we'd recommend ordering something a little more exotic as they seem a bit more confident with those flavours! The restaurant was also quite loud, I think it could benefit from some more decor or something to soak up some of the sound as it really echoed. On the whole a lovely meal and good service, so I would definitely recommend it for a date."

"After being recommended vigour by an friend, I popped in for lunch. On arrival, I was greeted by a friendly staff member who made me feel welcome. Going through the extensive menu full of delicious delights and delicacies, I opted for shredded pork tortillas and pork bao bao for starters, and steak (medium rare and eggs (soft poached. For mains with a refreshing cola with ice, and a creamy coffee for after. The atmosphere in there is really quite nice. The rustic vibe, of exposed bricks, rot iron fixtures and neon signs gave it plenty of character. While the ability to see into the kitchen gave you a good sense of connection to where the action truly takes place. Their shredded pork tortillas came as a trio with a lovely dip. Being a starter, they were small but flavorful. The bao bao which i can only describe as tortillas but in a softer and thicker wrap with a slightly sweet note to them were lovely, and made for a pleasant new experience. They were quite accommodating when I asked for peppercorn sauce for my steak, and managed to do a flat ironed steak to perfect medium rare. With creamy yolk gently glazing it, every mouthful was a joy. I will also note their coffee was particularly creamy and frothy which I really liked. Now, the one potential down side for some is the prices. While the food I had was lovely, and I don't at all regret going. I will say it's not somewhere you go to eat on a tight budget. You pay for the atmosphere, and the food quality is above many typical cookie cutter restaurants. My meal came to just over £34 drinks included, and while I can't make it a regular, I surely will be making it a spot my son and I go to treat ourselves. I will say that if I had my son with me at the time, I could have split the starters and just added chips to the mains to feed both of us quite happily for not much more. Should you be in a position to go regularly, take advantage of their loyalty scheme and get some tasty perks."

"The service and food at The Vine were exceptional! We had booked the restaurant for a Hen Party with 32 people on Saturday 29th July. Megan greeted me when I arrived early to set up, and she was very accommodating when I requested a few adjustments to the table set up. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout the evening. The food was delicious, served hot and in generous portions. We had pre-ordered from a 2-course set menu with plenty of options for both meat and plant-based diets. Even the picky eaters in our group were satisfied. Overall, the service, food, and decor were amazing, thanks to Davood and his team for making the Bride to Be's day unforgettable. The cocktails were also excellent. We will definitely be returning, but maybe not in such a large group next time."

"I made a reservation for a large group of 14 people to have pizza fondue on a Saturday night. When we arrived, the tables were not set up properly and we had to rearrange them ourselves to accommodate everyone. Despite booking 3 pizza fondue pots, we were only given 2 upon arrival, leading to a crowded and awkward dining experience. The fondue itself was not as expected, with the bulk of the pot being mashed potatoes instead of cheese. The other meals were described as average, with limited vegetarian options available. The service was lacking, with staff being unattentive and unhelpful. Despite arriving during cocktail happy hour, the experience was disappointing overall. We will not be returning to this restaurant due to the subpar food and service."

"Came in on wednesday last week for dinner with my family, Aimee was amazing at making sure all of my needs were seen to, as i have a few allergies. She was lovley to me and the rest of my family and made us feel very welcome. Even with my allergies the food was DELICIOUS, very fully of flavour and came out lovley at hot. The overall price of the meals were great for the portion sizes, especially the kids meals! The waitress we had for the majority of the night was very accommodating, came over to make sure everything was ok with our food and also asked whilst collecting the plates aswell. (i think her name was Kelly) but she was lovely. Everyone was good with the kids, serving their food first, guiding them to the kids menu’s and the colouring pages (was very impressed with these as a lot of pub lack stuff for the childrenThank you for a great visit all!"

"Riva is the best restaurant in Hale. This was my second visit and I was just as impressed as the first time, if not more! Last night (Thursday evening) we enjoyed amazing food and live music from a talented singer. Our group started with a snack board and then ordered beef Wellington, steak pie, fish and chips, and fillet steak - all of which were rated 10/10 by everyone. "We arrived at the restaurant 45 minutes early after traveling from Reading, expecting to wait in the bar area for our table due to the busy atmosphere. However, we were pleasantly surprised to be greeted with a warm smile and seated immediately. We were informed that there could be a 40-minute wait for our food, but it was served in just 15 minutes, all with friendly service. The staff's customer service training is evident and they did an excellent job. Overall, it was a fantastic experience."

"Usually they love eating the lamproom is excellent, but today we were switched off for a coffee, despite the fact that it says online, they are not quite disappointing, as we traveled mins to get away from everyone we love the atmosphere, were not given a reason simply turned away and said they were not serving. I work in a caffeine myself, so I understand if it was closer to the closure, or if we had a reason, but hours to close, and we couldn't even have a coffee, seems ridiculous."

"Completely underwhelming!! Seated at 7.45 no offer of drinks just menus. Getting to 8pm so decided to go the bar ourselves and order a drink. Menu pretty rubbish so went with Sunday dinner. Has to be one of the worst I've eaten, seen some pubs do better. Beef fatty, everything else luke warm at best. Pudding menu basically ice creams jazzed up. Wouldn't return!"

The kimchi, tuna and Red Leicester mozzarella sourdough toastie was flavour combination my tastebuds were delighted to experience! The salad maple and mustard dressing was delicious too. All ingredients are fresh, grown on site or sourced locally from the market and local suppliers like butchers and bakers, and their quality is reflected in their superb taste. I can’t recommend this place enough; it’s clear that there’s a passion for and curiosity about food as there is mastery for culinary execution . Very generous portion sizes. Excellent service."

Also they have people staying at the motel Who the council pay for, So we had one Young Man who was hovering around the bar asking for Drinks apparently they get a allowance , very offputting shame felt sorry for him but you don’t expect this when you go out for a meal. the young lady who served us think she was called Lynnsey couldn’t do enough for us she was bartender, cleaner, waitress and anything else they needed doing ,she was so nice but you could see she was under pressure didn’t seem to have any backup but she was fantastic think they need More staff like her .
