"We visit this restaurant every sixth Friday when our dog is being cared for. I had the hunch to try their fish and chips, and I was delighted by how beautifully battered and crispy they were. We often bring our older friend, who absolutely loves the toffee banoffee pie. I also brought my family along, and they all enjoyed their meals; the melon cheesecake was particularly refreshing. My partner prefers simpler dishes, so they sometimes make her sausages and chips, and she loves the spicy ones. The staff is always very polite and incredibly helpful."

My friends and I had a fantastic time at this restaurant. The food was delicious, the staff were attentive and friendly, and the 2-for-1 deal available all day every day was fantastic! Overall, it was a wonderful experience dining with family and friends.

Very disappointed with our meal today. The sirloin steak was a dreadful piece of meat, full of sinews, could barely cut it, left half of it! We did mention it but was offered nothing to try and rectify this. The ale pie was rather nice though! Wont be returning Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Unfortunately, there is no longer table service, and we waited 45 minutes for our meal. I've visited many times before, but the recent changes haven't improved the experience. Excellent food and good value. The service was ever so slightly slow but it was very early (we were going to Thursford) and the staff were still joining, but it did not spoil our enjoyment. If it had been quicker some of us would probably have had a pudding! We will be back next year. Price per person: £10–20 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

Ordered at bar, 2 glasses of coke £3.20 per glass I think, I was given half a glass in each one. I went back after seeing the price and asked if it was a measure of coke, lady said I can fill them up a bit. £3.20 a glass I expect it to be full. Food lovely both had lasagna, nice and hot and nice fresh chips. Choice of puddings not great, why has ice cream sundaes always chocolate? I don’t like, should have strawberry or raspberry aswell. Thanks Price per person: £10–20

"Decided to try the Crown in Fakenham as they do a Carvery on a Sunday, but what swayed us even more to go there was they allow dogs and there is a Dog Menu. We did phone a couple of days before to make sure we would get a table, which was in the bar because we were taking our dog. On arrival the staff were very friendly and welcoming and showed us to our table. We ordered drinks non alcoholic for me and a coke for the wife, and ordered and paid for our Carvery at the same time. Our dog had a Carvery too he could choose between Beef or Turkey, he had the Turkey with roast spuds, veg and Yorkshire pudding obviously no gravy. I went to the restaurant to get our meals, today's meat choice were Beef, Gammon, Turkey and Pork with Crackling very nice too. I decided that we would have a bit of every meat and it was cooked to perfection. Then you moved along the counter there were roast spuds, roast Parsnips, stuffing balls, big Yorkshire puddings, Cauliflower Cheese. Moving further along were the veg, Peas, Broccoli, Carrots, Red Cabbage, Sweet Corn and French Beans. Obviously there was Gravy and all the Condiments that accompany the Meats. To be honest our plates were big but they couldn't cope with the amount of food piled on them. The food was very nice and hot everything was cooked very well and really tasty and the prices were very reasonable Adult Carvery £12.95 and the Dog Carvery was £3.95 which came in a big dog bowl full to the top. If we are still in the area next week we will be booking again, highly recommend The Crown's Sunday Carvery."
