"I made a reservation at a new Mexican restaurant to celebrate Mother's Day with my wife and son. I called ahead to let them know we would be running late and the person on the phone was kind and understanding. When we arrived, the waitress was friendly and even made a special effort to accommodate our 7-year-old son. The bartender and other waitresses were also attentive and friendly. Our food arrived promptly and was absolutely delicious, with generous portions. I ordered the chicken burrito with roasted beans and my wife had the fajitas. Overall, we all had a great experience and I highly recommend this restaurant. Just a heads up - the smell of the food can linger on your clothes, so it's best to leave your coat in the car."

"5 of my family came here for my Nieces hen night. Just wanted a quiet place as she and my sister had come up from the south to visit family before her wedding. I have been here many times and always had excellent food and service. This waiter/manager hung around us quite a while. Kept wanting to but in to our conversation. Telling us stories. He was very rude to his other 2 staff who were only young and lovely. The young girl missed a water from our order. He clapped his hands to her and showed her up loudly about missing the water. He still kept lingering round our table when we were trying to talk. As my niece had a bride 's veil on he turned around to her and said So your pregnant before getting married. This was not called for. Nobody should ever say that. My niece was so conscious of her body. She had lost 3 and half stone before this night for her wedding and was in a size 10 dress. This place will be so much better without this waiter/ manager. He had black hair and tall and was italian. Disgusting manner."

"We went last night (7th August) for a quick bite. I was really impressed with the service. The waitress outside the front (we were seated in the patio/outside section) was really friendly and helpful. I ordered a starter portion of prawn tacos and the way in was prepared was not what I was expecting (not due to the kitchen's fault, just my expectation). I mentioned this to the waitress and I guess the manager (not 100% sure who the man was that I spoke to) and they kindly altered the dish for me so that I could enjoy it more! Above and beyond expectation. They also gave us complimentary drinks because of the inconvenience. I hope these guys are recognised, this is what true service is!...read more"

"I have been here many times and I must say the food is always awesome , great if you like Tex Mex especially , the décor is like a mini Hard Rock Café theme displaying part of the owners personal collection of memorabilia, pride of place being a Bass Guitar owned by the Ox from the Who , and a lot of Beatles nostalgia . "Unfortunately not the place I remember. This was the second time in recent weeks we have ate there and the food quality has really deteriorated. The other week I thought it may be down to the wrong choice however this evening proved it has significantly dropped in quality. Saying that my husbands steak was really good however the overall meal was ruined by plastic in my food. I have received an apology from the manager who also completed an incident form and fortunately I was not harmed so i do not wish to take the matter further. However overall following this and the last meal we will not eat there again."

"Me and my boyfriend come here almost weekly for our date night, we absolutely love it every time! The staff are so friendly and approachable, nothing is ever too much trouble for them. I always have the beef tacos and quesadillas, my plate is cleared...every single time which doesn't happen often for me. All the small touches make the experience so much more enjoyable such as serving nice cold water in old mexican tequila bottles, it is much appreciated after a spicy meal haha! It can be a little pricey (usually £50/£60 for 2 courses for 2 people and a drink) but it is well worth it for the quality of food and service. I couldn't fault this place and every time I leave I look forward to going straight back again. Thank you to the team for making it a lovely experience!"

"We’re seated and served quickly. Drinks were lovely (Virgin Mojito and a Pina Colada). “Specials” was mentioned and we were told to use a QR code to access the menu. Another waitress came over about 10 minutes later and we asked for a reminder of...the specials. Totally different to what we were told the first time. We opted for a shared platter to start, followed by fajitas (me) and enchiladas (my partner). Steak was very tender, overall taste was very good. Didn’t have a dessert as we were too full. Check ups were frequent to make sure all was well. Overall ambience was nice. Felt intimate though it was packed. However. The bill… that was more than excessive. It worked out at £25 per head minus the drinks. £25 each for a starter and main. (Whole bill was £81, but the cocktails were £8 each plus a beer). It’s nice, but something I couldn’t afford regularly."

"Popped in to try, after reading your reviews. The pub is well situated, good parking, nice views. The staff were polite, friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is lovely, laid back, good music and comfortable lighting. We both decided on the chicken curry, although the menu offered a huge choice. The dishes were well presented, served with a poppadom, onion, and mango chutney. The curry was hot in temperature, and very moreish. We really didn't want to leave. Well done fantastic hospitality. "The restaurant was clean and well-maintained. The staff at check-in weren't very helpful, but the bar employees were attentive to arriving customers. It's worth noting that Skye Island relies heavily on tourism during a short season, so prices may be higher. Overall, it was an okay experience. The breakfast selection was limited but the room was clean and comfortable. Just keep in mind that this is more of a pub than a hotel."

"The restaurant has a charming ambiance and is aesthetically pleasing. The food was decent/good, but the service was lacking. It took 1 hour and 30 minutes to receive our food, and we had to ask three times for water before it was brought to us. It seemed like there were not enough staff members, as more and more customers kept coming in. Several groups of people had to wait for extended periods of time. The establishment should consider limiting the number of patrons if the staff is struggling to keep up with the demand."

"While the food was tasty and steak was cooked to perfection, the horrible service and very long delays in getting served results in a rare 2 star review. Having read gushing positive reviews about this place, my girlfriend and I.. Tourists from out of town decided to stop by. We called and booked a table for 2 at 630pm. We arrived at 620pm and we're promptly seated. The evening is looking great. Then things started to go downhill. It took us 15 mins to get our orders taken..with 2 tables who arrived after us being served first by the pony tailed sole waitresses there. I waved her down and politely informed her we were ready to order, but was told in a somewhat mocking demeanor that she would be right with me. It took her another 10mins to get back to us. The 2 items we wanted to order.. Ribs and and the risotto were not available. No one told us in advance. Big letdown. To add salt to the wound, the one low alcohol beer on the menu also wasn't available. Food took even longer to arrive. We waited 40 mins before both our burger and steak arrived. Though the taste was good and portions were generous, the accompanying sauce was way too little for a steak of that size. Although my cutlery was swapped out to include a serrated knife, my partner wasn't even given a steak knife. She relied on a bread knife to cut her burger. We asked for water and I made it clear we wanted hot water. We were served a water jug with cold water. End of the night, we can't help feeling very frustrated at the quality of service and long food wait times. We weren't the only ones. We noticed other tables too incurred at least 30 min wait times for food. Perhaps we are an Asian couple.. Was this the reason our table was skipped not once but twice in getting orders taken? One can't help but to draw conclusions. Given the chance, we won't be back again. There are many other establishments in the area worth exploring. With hopefully better table service. If you decide to come here, come very early and hopefully you're of the right skin color to receive proper table service that deserves your hard earned money.
