"We popped here for Lunch and were seated straight away. We ordered a few small lunch bits to share and drinks. Drinks arrived in good time, food took a little while to arrive but we weren't in a rush so no big deal. As we...were seated we soon realised there was some sort of family drama unfolding in-front of us, one of the waitresses stormed outside and was ranting and raving outside the window, there were what we assume were staff members kids crying. Staff telling the kids off or to be quiet, different staff members rushing around to talk to the girl outside and then back in. A man then came in with a drill and started doing some DIY on the bar, which was not ideal to listen to. To be honest, it was a bit chaotic and made us feel as we were intruding. It was like the restaurant was open, but they weren't ready to be open as it was just a lot of chaos. We soon ate up, paid and left. They seem to have great reviews so maybe we caught them on an off day, but it definitely wasn't a relaxed lunch as we had hoped for."

My work mates and I always have our staff parties at this place, also meet friends and family there, great food and service, its got a family feel to the restaurant which obviously shows staff and management work as one, keep up the good work,...see you soon

Just come back from another wonderful visit to the Island and the Alamo is always. The staff are always helpful and I have never had any problems with their food. Steaks are cooked perfectly and the breakfasts are immense!!!! Loving your work Dan, Sam and...the team!!!!! P.s don’t change your sausages, they are delicious

Was not disappointed! It was busy so we had to wait but the ambiance and music playlist was great. We waited for an hour for our food but looking at the other servings.... I think this was not the norm. We were rewarded with a...free round to compensate. Chef knows how to cook a good steak properly and the only down side was the wife's cut had a tough vein running through it which was a shame but didn't really take away from the taste. You eat enough steaks, you occasionally get tough bits. Staff were happy and helpful. Highly recommended.

I took my mum and dad here (1st time I've been to IOW with them in about 20 years). Food was devine and the service was quick, friendly and professional. Food servings are a really good size... We ordered some sides and were too stuffed to eat them all. Drinks are reasonably priced and lots of options. We had the ribs and chicken fajitas and both were really nice, well cooked and tasted amazing. Nice soft music in the background too and they have found the perfect volume to allow you to listen if you want or ignore and still have a conversation. Definately will come back here and highly recommend.

The food was fine but the ambiance tonight was dreadful. I can only describe it as dinner in the kindergarten Why sell the restaurant for an evening dinner when the atmosphere would be totally ruined by half the restaurant being filled by what we assumed...was the owners' extended family?! Small children running around, shouted conversations; we felt like outsiders maybe we were the only paying guests For the price, we really expect MUCH better than this!!! Such a shame as we have quite enjoyed previous visits. (Generally slowish service, but nice people and good food Sadly, I don't think we'll be going back
