"this is a traditional local pub and inn folks. if they enjoy what I and that is good old fashion pub hospitality without all their frills and imagination bits n bobs, then this is the place my wife and I were here for our 4 nights duration and I would recommend it to everyone. eating is nice and the price-performance ratio gets them brilliant. what a beautiful wee pub and the local entertainment is quality and scottish. my dazzling lady at the bar was caitlin, who looked after us very well. I can't remember the other girls, but she had a beautiful and wide Irish accent. when I go to the Trip Advisor, I'll scor 5 stars. many thanks isles inn for a nice stay and we will be back. mark jo xx"

Very good place for meals, friendly staff, reasonable price but very busy. Book in advance to secure your seat. Highly recommended !!!

we had vegan cheese replaced by regular cheese, a “Cabon Pasta sauce” that we sure was just sweet chili sauce and sawn (incredible sweet and bland), missed items from our order, etc.

beautiful authentic restaurant and pub with decent vegan choices such as vegan sandwich, vegan fish chips, a vegan burger and vegan suppe of the day. very tasty, but a little expensive. they also have a large selection of drinks.

By far the best place in Portree that we found. Several vegan options on the menu (including macaroni cheese, burgers, starter and desert). We had two courses and were very full. The desert was delicious and generously sized! Very friendly service and attentive despite being busy.

large atmosphere in one of the oldest pubs in portree. large selection of drinks and eating is also amazing. they do not accept bookings so early to get their names on the list when they want to eat here. absolutely loved the mush and steak pee. perfect with a cup of beer on a rainy day!

Had to wait a while for the table however, the bartenders were amazing. Anyway worth the wait. They had a vegan special for the starter, sweet potato and falafel balls with sweet chilli sauce. Main was vegan burger with vegan cheese and a lovely side salad. Staff incredible. Can’t recommend enough! Thank you!

They had a couple of vegan options. I got the vegan burger. Maybe we chose poorly, but both my vegan burger and my partner's non-vegan burger were very small. We ended up going to the co-op after to get some snacks. There are better places to get food in Portree. Every time we have been the staff have been very surly and unwelcoming.

beautiful old time inn/pub/tavern with a cozy fireplace right at the city square. they had several labeled vegan elements on the menu of the veggie burger was fabulous (the chili was a bit mix between bbq and sweet jalapeno maybe and the vegan fajitas were also great (with vegan cheese and more sour cream seems like they turn the menu, but always keep several vegan elements on it. would definitely go back!

"We 've finally done it, after too long we got to experience the magnificent Three Chimneys. From entering to leaving the whole experience was magical. We were met and greeted by the wonderful front of house staff and really made to feel welcome. Throughout the course of the meal we got to chat to nearly all members of the team, such a great contrast of characters and personalities, yet all boasted the same high level of attentiveness, and professionalism you 'd come to expect from such an establishment. The vibe is really interesting, you may walk in in your finest suit, and you will be treated to a high class fine dining experience. On the other hand, you may pop in in your walking boots, just off the hills and be treated to a lovely relaxing country pub-vibe lunch. How this is achieved is beyond me, but everyone seems to be given the experience they are looking for. The menu, is by far one of the most interesting I have come across yet. First off, it 's the same menu for lunch as it is dinner, so you can have the same marvellous experience regardless of your time preference. Second, it 's not your normal, run of the mill a la carte format. The menu progresses in courses, with suggested dishes for each, entrées, course 1, 2 and 3, and finally desert. The menu is designed in such a way that as you move forward throughout each course, the dishes will get more rich, however you aren 't restricted to any give dish in any given order. you can start with something from course 2, jump back to some fish off of 1, enjoy some entrées, then finish with something off of course 3. Your partner can do something quite different. What an excellent way to dine if you so wish. Finally, the food and wine. Of course it was exquisite. The locally sourced fish and meat was at it 's finest. Master crafted dishes, brought to life by Scott Davies. Each dish was very different, yet the whole experience tied together perfectly. We really did mix-it-up , and yet the contrast between each course was perfect, at no point did anything feel jarring or odd. As you 'd expect, the quality was superb. We had several red wines and several white wines throughout the meal, each was perfectly selected for us based on our attempt to describe what we liked and the dishes we had ordered. We ended our meal with some superb port, sherry and a couple of cheeky cocktails. You really can have as much or as little as you like, without pressure and time constraints. We 'd just like to say a huge thank you to both front of house staff and the kitchen for making our experience everything we had hoped for and so much more. You really made us feel like friends. All in all, an amazing experience."
