"The service definitely needs improvement. The hostess who seated us in the dining area didn’t properly hand us over to the waitstaff. When the staff finally approached us, they were unaware that we had made a reservation for afternoon tea. During our meal, a staff member spilled my cup of tea twice while rearranging dishes on the table, yet they didn't offer to refill it. Additionally, there was a loud internal training session on gin for the entire waitstaff taking place right next to our table, which was quite disruptive. This was not what I expected from China Tang. While the food was decent, I was overall disappointed with the experience."

"I just want to pay my tributes to Maze Grill and the staff for the excellent experience we had when we visited you for dinner on New Years Eve! Me and my family felt ourself very special already from the entrance, the bar and throughout the whole dinner. Especially our headwaiter (think his name was Karnal? but also his colleagues had much to do but never failed in attention, on the contrary there where not a single second we had to wait or ask for anything. Nice details as when someone constantly have an eye if our glasses needed to be filled up or when our son dropped the fork he had a new one even faster than he could of picked it up himself from the floor. And we noticed that the staff picked up the napkins and folded it and put it back whenever someone went to toilet or so. And it never felt pushy or so, just nice and friendly discreet attention. And what about the food? The garlic shrimps for starter was great as a appetizer and the steak for main course was perfectly executed, as well as the chips and the cole slaw was to die for. Again the attention for detail was great since we had different choices all four of us. The sommelier presented the wines on an Ipad to choose from and we struck gold for choosing a red stellenbosch one. If we have anything to complain about the wine could of been a couple of degrees colder, it was room temperatur I believe. We could of said something but we didn´t since we already got our main courses. When we left Maze Grill for heading out for the fireworks the doorman helped us with a cab…all nice details that makes you feel happy to pay the bill even if its much more than you usually spend on a dinner as an ”average family”. We will certainly visit you again and we will look for other Ramsay restaurants whenever we travel abroad again. Hope you will find a place in Stockholm to start up a new restaurant someday! "Genuinely one of my favourite high end restaurants! AMAZING food…great entertainment and very good atmosphere. Food is not halal but they have vegetarian and fish options available and they do serve mocktail as well as cocktails and alcohol here. Be aware that food arrives as it is cooked so there is no order as to how the food comes out. There is limited parking around the area so please bare that in mind if you plan to drive, otherwise Uber is a good alternative. The interior is so elegantly designed and the staff are welcoming (most of the time), there is a cloak room for your coats and items, just ask a waiter! The speedy wait time on food is definitely a plus! I highly recommend this restaurant, although please be advised it does get much louder in the evening after 10.30 so not very ideal after this point if you want to have serious conversations. Also note they have a reduced menu after 11.30pm. Fridays and Saturdays are very busy so I have noticed the quality of service drops a bit in comparison to the other days and I have encountered unfriendly stuff at the door especially during my last visit hence the rating. I found this upsetting because as I mentioned previously it is one of my favourite food places and appreciate the quality of food served. They have a live band/DJ in the evenings."

"It's no secret that I love Japanese food. And even less of a secret is my fondness for a good cocktail. So put the two together and I'm a very happy girl. Koji which ticks both these boxes in Parsons Green, seems to be a bit of a secret.... I'd never heard of it until researching sake cocktails for a piece I wrote for Time Out, but when they read my piece they invited me down to sample the cocktails and food in person. I went along with Lucy the night before heading to Tresco to do a weekend of pop ups, and we had the most delicious feast of delicate yet punchy Japanese food with punchy yet delicate cocktails!Koji have an ex Nobu chef in their kitchen and you can really tell there's someone who knows what they're doing there. Every dish was exquisite, and the whole experience heightened by being in such a gorgeous setting if you want to impress a date then head straight to Koji. We started with cocktails in the elegant bar area, which is lit by huge feather covered lights. When you go to Koji (which you really should if you're anything like me about good cocktails and Japanese food) order the lemongrass and chilli martini. The perfect balance of zesty and spicy it left our lips tingling in all the right ways. We didn't get round to trying it but the watermelon martini also sounds divine.The food at Koji is Japanese,with a modern twist. The menu's divided into snacks, hot and cold tapas, robata grill and various forms of sushi and sashimi. Being the good (greedy) reviewers that we are, we tried to sample something from each section. Starting with the most wonderful soft shell crab and asparagus summer roll. Light, fresh and expertly rolled it was a great start to what turned out to be a top notch meal."

"There has been a lot of buzz surrounding this restaurant, and some of the dishes definitely lived up to the hype. The wasabi prawns were absolutely delicious. The duck appetizer and main course were good, but not outstanding. The duck brain was an unconventional offering that was served with a hint of challenge in their smiles. The salt and pepper squid was pleasant but not extraordinary, and the Chilean Sea Bass was also good. The steamed rice and long life noodles were decent but nothing exceptional. The desserts looked beautiful but fell short in taste. Unfortunately, the staff began cleaning and making noise with plates and cutlery before we had finished dessert, giving the impression it was time to leave. We felt somewhat neglected until the bill came, at which point we felt pressured to increase the service charge. The sommelier was knowledgeable and the wine we chose was enjoyable. Overall, I am glad I tried Kai, but I don't see myself returning. I prefer establishments like Yauatcha and Hutong, which offer delicious food at more reasonable prices. I believe Kai may be better suited for companies entertaining clients on expense accounts, who would likely be pleased with their choice."

"Booked this restaurant for my son's 21st . Had gone in a few days before to see the place notify them of dietary allergies. All was noted down . On the day we were seated as per my request in a booth . Took awhile for our drinks order to be taken. When ordering the appetizers I informed the waitress about the lactose shellfish allergies. Was told that they can't give guarantee that there will be no cross contamination. Which we understood. The waitress however failed to take the food order and only took the cocktails order. I then called another guy Massimo explained re the allergy . He was helpful took the order. Food was really good with regards to presentation taste. The reason for give only 3 stars is due to the service . For a restaurant of this level I would have expected more attentive service we had to ask for our wine glasses to be refilled twice. There was no shortage of staff from what I could see. Danilo was also helpful by getting us a table at the bar after we had payed the bill in the restaurant . If the service had been better I would def give this place 5 . Food , decor, atmosphere is amazing ."

"I have eaten at Benares twice before and the food was superb. On this occasion, I was a left disappointed We booked the early set menu 2 courses and a champagne cocktail, which was excellent value at £32pp. The sweet and sour scallop starter was tasty but tiny, but my main butter chicken, exchanged for the masala vegetables with bread roll, was disappointing and I have had much better versions of this dish elsewhere. The roll also became very hard quickly and I think it had been microwaved, although this was denied by the serving staff member and I was not offered an alternative nan or bread product The rice portion was very small, despite being recommend it would be enough for two. We felt somewhat rushed at the end of the evening but were offered accommodation in the bar area The restaurant did provide a Happy Birthday' dessert for my friend though, which was much appreciated. The champagne cocktail was probably the best part of the special deal. I would recommend ordering a la carte for the better quality food experience."

"Expensive, but WORTH IT. I mean, it is not a restaurant anyone would hope to be cheap anyway. First of all, as expected: really good service. The only bad thing is we waited quite a bit between courses. I had the festive menu of: confit Loch Duart salmon, beef wellington, and chocolate and hazelnut parfait. They were all beautifully plated. We got complimentary consomme, delicious butter (from a famous butter maker if I may add), and sourdough bread. In the end we also got chocolate and caramel truffle which was very good. Now the main dishes. The salmon was just okay, until I combined it with a little bit of everything on the plate: cucumber sauce, cream cheese, and wasabi sorbet. The flavours blend perfectly well. But if you like smooth foie gras and crispy chicken skin, I suggest trying the other appetizer since I tried my friend's and it was MORE delicious. The beef wellington was really good, with well seasoned pastry, ham, mushroom covering, and pink fillet. Together with the bordelaise sauce it was stunning. I love coffee, so I ordered the parfait which was really good. The jelly was tiny though. If you love dark chocolate, get the chocolate cremeux."

"I visited Umami with my partner and daugher in june 2024. The atmosphere was terrible and uncomfortable. The management treatment of staff was appalling, we observed verbal abuse towards waiters, who appeared terrified. Our table was surrounded by 2 waiters for the entire evening, making us feel uncomfortable. The food was was bland, with one dish, the paneer overly sweet, we couldn't eat it. I'm an Indian women and know how indian food should taste like. What they served at Umami was tastless and not quality food. Don't bother asking for a cocktail, because they don't know how to make them. My daughter had previously eaten there and had a the same experience, but we thought that might have been a one off incident, clearly not. I will never eat there again and will tell everyone to avoid going there, because how there treat they staff, like dirt and the standard of the food was not that great. Over priced for poir food. I'll say away and go somewhere else.x I"

"This place is fantastic. Definitely go to the bar before your meal, there is a great vodka menu with lots of really interesting infusions. Mini martinis are a great idea, let's you try a few things. The food was top notch, very interesting flavours. They mentioned to us a new menu soon which sounded good too. And the staff were all really on the ball and friendly. We will definitely be back."

"We ordered a big family meal from Priya Lounge on the 7th July for my mothers bday meal, and I must say I am very happy we chose this restaurant, the food was absolutely delicious! We had ordered about x9 mix tandoori starters which was a great choice as it came with a variety of sheesh kebabs, chicken tikka lamb tikka, for the price and the taste is was a bargain! We ordered an array of curry dishes and a couple of biryani dishes which were all cooked to perfection and really nice and authentic just like my family I like. The gentleman on the phone who took our order was called Miah and I happened to mention that it was for my mothers bday meal and when we received the order we had been given a complimentary king prawn dish for my mom as a special treat, which we really appreciated and was a nice touch. Very rare do we order asian food from takeaways as we tend to cook it at home, but I am glad we chose Priya lounge for this special occasion and hope to order from there again soon."

"The host was excellent upon our arrival, but our table was not ready on time. This wasn't a big issue as we were able to stand and enjoy a drink while we waited. Unfortunately, there was no space at the bar and we had to stand right next to the DJ. The service was okay, but they forgot our order twice. The food was good, but I would say it was just average. Overall, the experience was okay, but not excellent as it should have been."

"I put this down to pure greed sadly. We booked a table last night for two. We arrived, and were promptly put on a small round bistro sized table for two. Before we were seated, I informed the head waiter that we were going to...order a set meal for two and that we would probably require a larger table. Now I know this, because last month we were moved to a larger table by them, because the number of dishes were not going to fit on the small table comfortably. So I asked if we could have a larger table and was told abruptly, no we are fully booked! At this point we should have left in hindsight. The table beside us, for 4, was left vacant for the majority of our duration that we were there for. Once the many dishes were squeezed on the table, the head waiter came over and moved the bowls around on the table and said there, it all fits! Weird… I hasten to say, we won’t be eating at your restaurant again"

"Having travelled 4hrs, booked into our lodgings we needed food. Being on the way from hungry to hangry it had to be good. We couldn’t have picked a better place. "We headed to The Chequers, a charming pub adorned in matching green hues, our anticipation for a delightful Bank Holiday lunch was high. However, regrettably, our experience fell far short of expectations. Upon arrival, we eagerly ordered the Italian antipasto as our starter, only to be met with disappointment. The selection appeared aged, lacking vibrancy, and unfortunately tasted stale and inedible. Our main course continued the trend of disappointment. The potatoes seemed to have been cooked days prior, lacking the freshness and flavor one would expect. To add insult to injury, the lamb dish appeared to have been hastily reheated in a microwave, resulting in an unappealing texture and taste. Frustrated by the lackluster quality of the food, we made the decision to send everything back—a disappointing outcome for what should have been a pleasurable dining experience at such a beautiful establishment. In conclusion, while The Chequers may boast a picturesque setting and inviting ambiance, the lack of attention to fresh, quality ingredients and reliance on reheated fare from days prior is a disheartening oversight. It is our hope that the management takes heed of such feedback and endeavors to restore the pub to its former reputation of serving freshly prepared, delicious meals."

"If I could I would give zero stars. Incredibly racist staff who ended up making my 9 year old niece cry at her own birthday dinner. After being forced to pay for all food upfront, we simply queried about the service charge then added to our additional drinks we wanted to pay for at the end. We still paid for this and as the waiter was getting our payment decided to tell us we would no longer be welcome there as the manager heard us talking about the service charge. When I then told the waiter this was Incredibly inappropriate to do at the table, he didn 't even apologise. I then spoke to the manager and told him how inappropriate that was he simply shrugged his shoulders and when we even mentioned my niece was crying he again shrugged his shoulders. When I said 'how can you not even offer an apology ' he then decided to say 'OK then, sorry '. I believe this treatment was down to the fact we were a Black family as we could see how the staff treated others in the restaurant. Terrible terrible attitude and would not recommend if you aren 't of their target demographic."
