"This restaurant is a gem. It is one of the few establishments that offers a diverse and multicultural menu, and every dish is executed perfectly. It is simply fantastic."

"This is the most fabulous place. We loved it. We are a group of friends staying for a weekend at Mawgan Porth.. and after a lovely walk along the coast path on Sunday afternoon popped in, hoping we could just get a drink but thought that might not be welcome being a Sunday lunchtime and not wanting to eat. Well.... we needn't have worried. They could not have been more friendly and welcoming. Gave us a massive table all together (with the dog... and gave her biscuits)... and of course... one drink became several.... and we then decided we would have some small plates of food too. The food was fabulous... the service and friendliness exceptional. Highly recommend and thank you Gareth and the team for a great time. Vegetarian options: I had the mushroom soup. It was delicious Dietary restrictions: One of our friends is gluten free... everything was checked and catered for Service: Dine in Meal type: Other Price per person: £30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"Excellent service as always.. Staff always seem to take a great pride in the way they deal with their customers which is great to see. Meal was very good, but chefs really need to ensure that when they frying frozen products that they are cooked correctly. Onion rings were wet inside and greasy from over fry. That said Steak etc was great ????"

"Superb, friendly service and a brigade performing at top level despite it being New Years day! Every dish perfectly executed and all courses fresh, flavoursome and both aesthetically and palate pleasing. Some really inspired cooking and perfectly balanced flavours for even the most jaded Christmas palate. Even the fries are cooked with love and are crisp and moreish. Such exciting dishes that dessert was swerved in favour of returning to the starters for scallops with a wowsering Hibiki Whisky Bacon Bon Bon. Cocktails are taken seriously here and are equally creative; this is no eatery just tipping its hat at mixology. Relax, enjoy the atmosphere and experience the fact this restaurant ‘does what it says on the tin’ it is most definitely’smokin’."

"Celebrating my wife’s 30th birthday at this restaurant was absolutely amazing. I was really stressed about accommodating such a large group, but the staff blew me away with how helpful they were. Huge shoutout to Katie and Luke – they went above and beyond to make sure we were all comfortable. They even helped carry our enormous cake, which was no small feat! Their effort truly made the night special for everyone."

"Nice little place next to the harbour. Food was acceptable if not overpriced for what it was. My food was the Cod giujons on a bap with fries. The bun was a little dry as the two giujons did not fill the bap, and there was only one lettuce leaf with no garnish, etc. Edible, but for the price, I would expect a little more. Fries were good and lots of them. Two adult meals and a child's meal came to over £36 without drinks, so it seems expensive. I would add that I overheard some of the younger staff swearing to each other but within earshot of my 4 Yr old granddaughter so not overly impressed although they were friendly and attentive with the customers. A mixed review. Would I go again? Maybe, if the price was lower and the staff kept their conversation professional within earshot of customers."

"I came across Chez Jules in an article and decided to visit today with my sister and mom. We traveled from Northeast England and it was definitely worth the trip. We enjoyed a lovely baguette with dressed salad leaves, olives, and delicious cured meats (even though I'm usually not a fan). This was served while we were deciding on our meals. We opted for the lunch special and it was amazing. The French onion soup was light yet decadent, the mussels were delicious, and the vanilla panna cotta was simply delightful. With a large bottle of wine, two soft drinks, the bill came to under £60, which was excellent value. The restaurant was quite busy, so I would recommend making a reservation. The atmosphere was great."

"The location of the restaurant was beautiful, both inside and out. Our seating area was lovely and we were warmly welcomed, being the only men enjoying afternoon tea. The two staff members who took care of us were fantastic, they were attentive, friendly, and accommodating. The tea and food were delicious, but it was the atmosphere and the staff that truly made our experience feel special. We felt like royalty and will definitely be returning soon."

"dinnae mess wi' the canny man’s. that is the marmite of edinburgh pub restaurants. let them explain me; they either love the fact that there is a long list of rules (which are enforced with almost brutal enthusiasm by the personal) banning everything from credit card cameras to backbacks handys, or they hate it as a series of ridiculous positions. I accidentally enjoy the retro/other secular feeling to take money, hide my handy, read the world's most famous elite menu, then write my own order on pads down before it gets at a special place, so the waitress will pick it up. I wouldn't want to do it any meal, but there are hundreds of restaurants where the customer is always being followed to extreme mentality, so it feels right that it says a place that are the rules, are lost if they don't like it. Of course, this is only possible because it can attract customers to their own conditions. some come for the easy Soviet block customer service, some the pretty incredible British museum meets junk shop interieur. which brings me back, however, is the incredible wine list of beer selection and the fantastic selection of high-quality open sandwiches in which the canny man’s has specialized. all in all, I would advise everyone to try it once; whether they go back or not she will be on both sides of this special morning idea marmite debate."

"St. David's Kitchen has quickly become one of our favorite restaurants and absolutely deserves a 5-star rating. The interior has been beautifully transformed, now brimming with character and local charm. The food is locally sourced and presented so creatively that it’s impossible not to be impressed. The meat is always cooked to perfection, and we especially love the sirloin and filet from the Welsh Black beef. St. David's Kitchen boasts the best selection of gins from local distilleries and has an outstanding team of employees. It's truly a remarkable and unforgettable place, whether you're stopping by for a drink or enjoying a special meal. A heartfelt thanks to Neil and the team; we appreciate the personal touch and feel valued. We’ll definitely be back soon!"

"Myself and my partner had a Sunday roast each here yesterday. We both had pork belly starter which was absolutely gorgeous and cannot be faulted. I had the roast beef lunch whilst my partner had the lamb. Both our dinners were nice but the roast potatoes felt like they’d been re-heated after being left standing for a while. I had a couple of Peroni’s and neither of us had desert but the bill still came to £97. The starters were £11 each and as I say, we couldn’t fault them but £25 for a roast dinner seems and was steep for the size of meal we received. They were tasty but I don’t think they were £25 tasty. The place itself is a nice setting and the atmosphere was decent, though."

"The service was prompt and very friendly, but bit rushed especially at the end only 2 hours. It was a bit noisy but the ambience was pleasant. The starters were a bit overcooked my husband had prawns and I had the scallops. The steaks on the other hand were perfect and the sides and sauces were lovely, and dessert was scrumptious. Overall it was a lovely experience, will visit again"

"Visiting Crewe with my wife we decided to take an early lunch at Miller and Carter. Our choice of restaurant being influenced by an earlier experience at the Telford outlet. Receiving a warm greeting from Reception we were shown to our table by David, who was to be our server throughout the meal. The Fixed Price Menu seemed to meet our needs and we ordered starters of salt and pepper calamari and sticky chipotle chicken. The main course being two 7 oz Rump steaks, one served with a mixed salad and the other with onion loaf, tomato, and seasoned fries. Drinks comprised a glass of a very pleasing South African merlot and a Fevertree tonic water. The meal met with our expectations and the steaks (cooked medium) had just the right degree of pinkness. The dishes were well prepared, nicely presented, and the steaks in particular were full of flavour. Competitively priced at £16.25 per head for a 2-course lunch, or £19.25 if wanting a dessert, we thought it represented very good value for money. The restaurant gave out a pleasant ambience and the spacious seating ensured comfort in just the right setting. Mention should also be made of the washroom facilities which were as to be expected. Having spent a good number of years in Hospitality Management I could not fault our young attendant David, who we both thought performed his tasks to a high standard. Happy to recommend."

"had a great night stay here. the rooms have everything they need and love the fact that, although they do not do the breakfast, they receive fresh milk and müsli provided in their room. they are the little things that make a big difference! all staff were friendly and helpful. we also had a meal that was delicious. I had scallops as main and nabebie had sampi and we had pizzas for lunch the next day. would absolutely recommend to stay here and eat. Fab atmosphere with a beautiful log fire"

"We were staying at Griffon Forest and get 10% off the bill.It was our 30th wedding anniversary and we had pre booked a table. On entering the restaurant the noise was deafening and we were unable to hear what the waiting staff were saying. There was a large party there including very young children who would not behave and whose parents ignored what they were doing. At one point the children forced of the fire exits and still no rebuke from the adults. The staff were overwhelmed by the party but still managed to sort out the rest of the guests and soon the restaurant was full.My wife has to have Gluten Free food as she is Ceoliac and the menu caters for special diets. The food was very tasty and plentiful and once the children had gone it all quietened down.Advisable to check your bill as there is a suggested tip level from 12-18% but you can give your own."
"Managed to get a table at late notice which was good. Table was small for 4 persons and dogs were allowed in which sadly for daughter was not great as she’s terrified of them. Service was fine and meal arrived quickly. The menu online is not the menu offered on a Sunday as prices are more expensive than online. (Said £6.95/7.95 and upward online) Still for £9.95 not a bad Sunday lunch price however you really don’t get a lot of food. We got one bowl of veg between 4 plenty carrots, cauliflower and cabbage but not a lot of turnip 3 spoons and it was gone. A separate bowl of mushy peas. We did not get a lot of meat and one person had only a few shredded pieces on their plate and small spoonful of mash/roasts. One large Yorkshire. Food tasted nice just don’t expect a huge portion. Desert menu was plentiful priced around £5 each. We enjoyed deserts and quite filling. Drinks reasonably priced also."
