"The waitress who took our order was great. The one who came to take our plates away didn't say anything, smile or make eye contact. I mentioned it to my husband and I think the original waitress overheard as she disappeared and shortly after, the second one came back with a smile and offered the dessert menu. We were the only customers in the restaurant. We couldn't believe it when the staff started to do a deep clean of the furniture, dragging chairs out etc. Surely this should be done when there are no customers? The food was excellent though."

"Dine in with friends. The seafood spaghetti and the cod with crab are tasty. However, the service is really bad. -The waiter pour the wine out and made table and pram were wet. -We’ve checked several times with waiters about the main course status because our friends are almost finished their meals) but no any response. Just said they will check but no any update from them. -We waiting for the sides until we finished the main course. We asked 3 times with different waiters and no any response from them until the last asking. The lady said they’ve combined our sides to other friends’ portion. It’s ridiculous. No one tell us that they will combined the sides! And we waited for long time for such stupid things. -Wrong billing I’m so disappointed with the mess services. Will not go again. Response to restaurants reply: It’s shame. May be my reviews make you feeling not good. BUT all my reviews are true! Yes, we booked a table for 12 people but 4 kids and 1 baby included. Thus, we ordered 7 main courses with starters desserts for 7 adults and 1 kids meal and wine. I’m feeling sorry for 2 kids running around our table and we did stopped them once you told us. And I appreciated the lady with black clothes who helping us carried the pram upstairs. She was very kind and helpful. However, the staff who mainly serving our table was not very good. She pour the wine out on the table and the baby pram when she collecting the empty wine cup. For the wrong billing Yes, the first bill was £191 that’s lower then the actual bill. We found it wrong and reported it to restaurant even it’s lower price because that’s not what we ordered. And the 2nd bill was wrong again which was overcharged until the 3rd bill. Actually, not only the mess dish arrangement, one of the main course was not correct but we tried to make it simply and just finished it without any complaints. For the dish arrangement and no any updates response from the staff after we asked, really disappointed. What I feeling? I’m wasted my time for waiting because of the poor arrangement. I keep waiting and asking and get no response whole night. And my kid and I feeling very hungry. Because I still waiting my main course and the side. I was wait for whole dinner, my friends almost finished their meals but I’m still waiting. No any reply after asking, just said they will check until our last asking. Throughout the meal no one asked if the food was ok. Made us feel unwelcome. If anyone asked, may be the things will not become that bad."

"We visited last night for a family birthday. Been before, but not for a while. Four adults and one pre-teen with very specific likes and dislikes! The choice of food was amazing. Specials boards, saver menu, fish, steak, pasta...... It's all there. I had the mushrooms with a cheesy tomato sauce to start, which was gorgeous, and then the fish curry half and half. The chips were gorgeous, and the curry was out of this, world! My husband couldn't make it, so I asked if I could order a takeaway for him. The waitress said that most things could be packed to take away, so I ordered him a chicken curry half and half. Everyone's meals arrived together, and our waitress was attentive but not overly so. We were allowed to eat our meals at our own pace without feeling rushed. My stepdad has dementia, so can take ages to choose and then to eat, but again, we weren't rushed. All agreed the meals were lovely. Nobody could manage dessert, although there were, again, many choices. Our waitress brought out my husband's curry when we asked for the bill, and it was piping hot and well packed. All in all, a hugely enjoyable evening was had by all xx"

"We walked in and weren’t greeted for around 5 minutes, we then asked if we could order some breakfast at 10:45 AM, which the waitress replied ‘not sure, you only have 15 minutes’ even though the menus outside stated breakfast was served until 11:30. We then went back outside to decide what we wanted to order, and came back in and again weren’t greeted for a while, it seemed the staff were too busy wanting to chat as it was dead empty and no one else was there to be served. She then came round to the bar and took our order, I asked for a coffee and a pint of water with ice and lemon and then ordered some food. We paid and then the drinks arrived shortly outside which my coffee was then spilt all over the edge and then no water. 20 minutes later our breakfast arrived, missing half of the food and was given no cutlery which we had to then ask for. None of the staff seemed to check and ask how the food and drinks were and when giving us our drinks or food they didn’t even speak just slammed them down on the table. Very poor experience which is a shame as Marlow is such a lovely area. I would avoid this place and check out the other pubs that I’m sure have staff that are willing to serve you and not make it seem like a hassle when customers walk in. Will not be returning."

"Superb Pizzas...and very friendly crew !. Visited here with family on Saturday night..didn't have reservations and was very busy. We did try calling but we just got to leave a message. Anyway the friendly manager said the wait world be an hour but accommodated us in half. The staff are very friendly and all of them seem to be serving all the tables, albeit at times they tend to forget orders. But the advantage is that you don't get rushed and can have a relaxed time. The atmosphere is great and lively and is a trendy and energetic area of Manchester. The best part of the menu are the starters and the spectacular variety of pizzas. "I went to La Lanterna on the off chance and was more than pleasantly surprised. In what looks to be a family run business the staff were friendly and thoroughly enjoyable to be around. The restaurant was extremely busy yet the service and food was top class. The food is typical Italian and although I only had Pizza and my companions simple pasta dishes they were all delicious. With more than competitive prices and in an ideal location I can only think of positives and would recommend you go there!!"

"A fabulous building in a magnificent setting, so it is to be recommended to those interested in architecture, let down by the delivery. Staff were all well intentioned but would benefit from further training and a uniformly neat appearance. Our set Valentines meal should have had fizz and canapés beforehand but neither arrived. The waiter did not ask how we wanted the fillet steaks to be cooked when the order was taken, which was unusual but not a cause for alarm in a larger premises like this. A waiter brought the matched wine for the first and second course at the same time, which was seconds after the bread basket had just been offered, and could not say which glass was for which dish. Moments after the innocuous starter and subsequent sorbet had been whisked away another waiter delivered our steaks: one blue and the other rare not our preference at all, but we ate what we could and left the rest. Our only specific request when ordering the food was for one dessert to be substituted by cheese and for that to be placed on or beside our table immediately rather than removed from a chiller moments before serving. This was ignored despite repeated requests for it to happen and so the cheese proved to be tasteless. Overall the entire menu lacked imagination and the chef did not show skills that encouraged a return visit. We will monitor the menu for a change in the kitchen and return once the front of house staff have had an opportunity to gain a little more experience."

"Upon our arrival, it appeared that the restaurant wasn’t aware of our reservation, despite having booked weeks in advance. We were welcomed by Paul, who was very helpful throughout our visit. We ordered our meals, but while some items were advertised as gluten-free, they were unable to provide gluten-free bread. The waitress seemed uncertain about what she was serving and had to make multiple trips to the kitchen. However, the food was delicious, served hot, and came on generous-sized plates. "We've eaten here in the past when we go to visit an elderly relative in West Bay. On this occasion, we ate at 6.30 on a Tuesday evening. The pub was moderately busy, but it was a wet and windy night! We both had fish and chips which was okay. Portion size was adequate, but if you're a big, hungry man, it wouldn't necessarily be enough. Fish was quite nice, but chips a little underwhelming in my opinion. What I found extremely annoying was the addition of a 10% service charge automatically applied to the bill. It wasn't even mentioned by the member of staff. I always get it removed. If I want to add a tip, I will decide how much, not the restaurant thank you very much!!! My husband was slightly surprised when I paid the bill as it was. He queried it when we were outside, and I said I had paid the service charge because they had missed of a pint of beer and a large glass of red, so it was reasonable value, and one up to me! We won't return in the future."

"I highly recommend this place. I went for a meal with my husband here last night. We both had a starter, pate for my husband and stuffed peppers for me. They were both faultless. My husband said it was the best pate he had tasted and my peppers were delicious they were both accompanied by a tomato chutney which was also delicious. My husband had the steak for his main and I had scampi. The portions were really generous and every element of the meals were excellent. Don Paddys is a really friendly venue with great staff. They allow dogs in which I think is a great idea. I have been here at lunch time and also in the evenings just for a drink and have enjoyed evey occasion. It is a gem of a place to eat and drink."

"I cannot fault the service, the food and the atmosphere. Everything was brilliant. Been to the restaurant a few weeks back for a birthday celebration with my parents. We arrived earlier than we were supposed to but that seemed not to be a problem, we were immediately seated. Our waitress, Sharon, was a star. She was very frendly, prompt and thorough with our order. She made sure that she made a note of the dietary requirements and advised accordingly. The food was fabulous, steaks cooked to perfection, the sides were amazing and the cocktails were amazing too. Sharon came by our table a few times asking if everything was alright with the food and if we needed anything else. Her service was just amazing. The other staff members, even if we haven't interacted with them, you could see they were smiling and the atmosphere in the restaurant was relaxing and very friendly. All in all the experience has exceed my expectations and I will be definitely be coming back."

"visited this place for a special occasion and was a pleasant experience from beginning to end. the service was friendly, timely and simply had a really domestic feeling. had a bark taco, which tasted beautiful, a great choice of aromen. the garnels also tasted great, loved the crumbsal. I had fish for the net that tasted fresh, which surprised me. the dessert also had a beautiful contrasting taste of aromen. really creative meals combined with a beautiful service and cozy environment makes for a pleasant experience. personally, I feel that due to the pricing, this is a special opportunity type of place, but I certainly cannot complain about the quality of eating. highly recommended."
