"Upon our arrival, it appeared that the restaurant wasn’t aware of our reservation, despite having booked weeks in advance. We were welcomed by Paul, who was very helpful throughout our visit. We ordered our meals, but while some items were advertised as gluten-free, they were unable to provide gluten-free bread. The waitress seemed uncertain about what she was serving and had to make multiple trips to the kitchen. However, the food was delicious, served hot, and came on generous-sized plates. If you're looking for value for your money and are quite hungry, this is the place for you."

"I recently had dinner at this restaurant and it was absolutely amazing. The price per person was around £60-70, but it was well worth it. I would give the food a perfect score of 5 out of 5, as well as the service and atmosphere. I highly recommend trying the Seafood Platter for Two and the Fish and Chips, they were delicious."

"A fabulous building in a magnificent setting, so it is to be recommended to those interested in architecture, let down by the delivery. Staff were all well intentioned but would benefit from further training and a uniformly neat appearance. Our set Valentines meal should have had fizz and canapés beforehand but neither arrived. The waiter did not ask how we wanted the fillet steaks to be cooked when the order was taken, which was unusual but not a cause for alarm in a larger premises like this. A waiter brought the matched wine for the first and second course at the same time, which was seconds after the bread basket had just been offered, and could not say which glass was for which dish. Moments after the innocuous starter and subsequent sorbet had been whisked away another waiter delivered our steaks: one blue and the other rare not our preference at all, but we ate what we could and left the rest. Our only specific request when ordering the food was for one dessert to be substituted by cheese and for that to be placed on or beside our table immediately rather than removed from a chiller moments before serving. This was ignored despite repeated requests for it to happen and so the cheese proved to be tasteless. Overall the entire menu lacked imagination and the chef did not show skills that encouraged a return visit. We will monitor the menu for a change in the kitchen and return once the front of house staff have had an opportunity to gain a little more experience."

"We went on Sunday and had the chicken and beef roast. I really loved the different flavours that the roast included. It wasn't just some veg cooked in butter, but you could really taste the flavour they have put into the veg. The chicken was a bit tough but nonetheless still very flavourful. The beef was sirloin so not the best cut. But still great flavours. The drinks where great and had amazing taste to it. We got their weekend desserts as well that was very well presented and tasted great. Everything is halal and the owners took great care in explaining this and also seemed very passionate about their product. Only thing I'd say is that it was a bit pricey, for two of us the bill came up over £90, but you pay for the quality and service I guess. Will go again probably for the regular menu next time."

"if I could give zero stars I would! excessively noisy so unable to enjoy our group dinner (6 adults/1 child) it was akin to being in a pub bar could barely hear ourselves speak. Not at all Miller Carter brand quality of ambiance had to wait ages for drinks to arrive and an hour for our dinner to arrive we thought about leaving at the 45 minute mark Ordered a bread board the bread was burned around the edges and very crispy. Cheese burger was the type of quality and flavour you would expect from a much lower level establishment very disappointing for what it cost. kids meal was very expensive (same food ordered as sides would have been much cheaper) kids and adults mac cheese was watery and tasted like a packet mix. absolutely awful meal and ambiance definitely wont be back and wouldnt recommend to anyone else either. Couldnt wait to leave. Have eaten at Miller Carter in Horsham, W Sussex and it was lovely but this was exactly like a Travel Lodge level restaurant not at all up to the expected level of a true Miler Carter restaurant."

"We've eaten here in the past when we go to visit an elderly relative in West Bay. On this occasion, we ate at 6.30 on a Tuesday evening. The pub was moderately busy, but it was a wet and windy night! We both had fish and chips which was okay. Portion size was adequate, but if you're a big, hungry man, it wouldn't necessarily be enough. Fish was quite nice, but chips a little underwhelming in my opinion. What I found extremely annoying was the addition of a 10% service charge automatically applied to the bill. It wasn't even mentioned by the member of staff. I always get it removed. If I want to add a tip, I will decide how much, not the restaurant thank you very much!!! My husband was slightly surprised when I paid the bill as it was. He queried it when we were outside, and I said I had paid the service charge because they had missed of a pint of beer and a large glass of red, so it was reasonable value, and one up to me! We won't return in the future."

"We really enjoyed our time at The Mexican. Staff greeted us when we came in, took us to our table and once we were settled, took our drinks order. All done very smoothly. The menus had a nice variety of dishes. We shared loaded fries as a starter very tasty and for mains a vegetable burrito and vegetable enchilada all delicious, perfectly seasoned and with a nice mix of veg used (mini corn, sweet potato, onion, sweet peas etc). The tortillas, cheeses, guacamole, salsa and sour cream were also high quality. Corners could have been cut here, but the owners opted not too. Little things can make a big difference, so thank you for making the effort. It was appreciated. The bill was very reasonable and the whole experience left us wanting to return for more. If you 're in Perth and craving delicious Mexican food The Mexican is a must visit."

"TBH overall good but I chose Lamb Shank which I had on a previous visit before Xmas and it was excellent. Unfortunately this time it was nothing sort of rubbish. Change of chef maybe or supplier not sure but one or the other needs to be changed. On a positive note my wife had the veggie lasagne which she really enjoyed. Will give it one more try to see if they have improved if not we won't be going again. NB to chef maybe if you had slow cooked the lamb then the problem wouldn't have arose. I believe I was not the 1st to complain."

"We’ve been coming to Sam’s for years. A visit to Fowey isn’t complete without at least one dinner at Sam’s. "Stopped over for two nights for a wedding. On arrival the staff were welcoming and showed us to our room. Rooms were spotlessly clean, recently made over and very comfortable. The location is excellent, 2 mins to anywhere in Penrith. The bar downstairs was lively with live music which was a bonus. The breakfast included was fantastic. Locally sourced and good quality produce. Would 100% recommend if you’re visiting.l the area."

"The menu appeared promising and we decided to try the Chicken and crispy bacon Ciabatta. We imagined a toasted bun with grilled chicken and crispy bacon, but what we received was chunks of chicken and soggy bacon in a heavy creamy sauce in an untoasted roll. It was disappointing in both appearance and taste, and we ended up leaving half of it untouched. The Tripadvisor description of the Royal mentioned fresh, expertly prepared food cooked on a chargrill, but our experience was quite different. This was our first visit since the restaurant changed ownership and sadly, we may need to look for a new local spot for dining."

Our parents used to take us there on Sundays when we lived in Scarborough, so it was a trip down memory lane for us. "simply the best! we visit pinche pinche whenever we are in leeds. we were presented a few years ago by a good friend this jewellery piece. the fact that the majority of their menu is gluten-free is amazing, it is a menu that. for all. carnivores, vegetarian and also vegan choices makes it perfect for our group. this is a family-run company and they can feel that by welcoming the warm welcome they offer to their customers. eating is simply beautiful, full of taste and when they learn that the owner has spent a lot of time in mexiko, they understand authentic Mexican foods. "I rarely leave reviews for anything except when something is exceptional. Last night we are in El Toro for my sons's birthday and overall it was incredible meal out. Our party consisted of 4 adults an 8 year old and 12 year old. From the minute we came through the door the staff were fabulous and couldn't do enough for us. Service was efficient, our glasses were topped up, cutlery changed, table wiped after our main and we were asked a few times if we needed anything. We ordered surf and turf, chicken and steak, mixed grill and steak and lamb and a burger for my daughter. It was all cooked to perfection and tasted AMAZING. The meat was amazing quality, served hot and came with extra sauces that we ordered, peppercorn, garlic and blue cheese. All served with piping hot chips. Every plate was cleared except the lamp bones!!!! We ordered two desserts and my son's came with a birthday candle, lovely touch. On receipt of payment we all got after eights with our receipt. Over all a 10/10. One of the BEST meals I have had in ages. Highly recommended!"
