This place is fantastic. Theres a really great atmosphere and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The food was incredible, the steak open sandwhich is likely the best I have ever had.

Large portion sizes, flavored for perfection and delicious delicacies absolutely delicious! They have a dedicated vegan menu that offers a fantastic selection from breakfast to dinner. #Veganuary

I can 't remember having a better restaurant meal anywhere. The best pate I 've tasted. Fantastic Turf 'n Surf. Large prawns and a very tender steak. Faultless. Congratulations to all involved. We 'll be back.

I was happy, have more than one option, and actually have a separate vegan menu even dessert (and not just the boring sorbet! . Beautiful food, beautiful ambience and a selection of vegetable milk for hot drinks

I had a nice vegan burger of carrot and lenses. You could say it was all fresh and homemade. Good servings also and a delicious vegan brownie for dessert (I would give 5 stars if it were allowed for a not fully vegan place)

Service was slow, infact had to remind staff that we were still waiting to be served after waiting approx 45 mins.Food was served on chopping boards, which had seen better days. Didn't feel confident with their hygiene routine.Had to ask for table to be cleaned before food was delivered

On arrival at 1345hrs for lunch on 30.6.23 there was no one to greet, and staff behind bar were not attentive. We had to ask for a table. We then had to attract a staff member to order some drinks. She bought menus and told us on 3 different occasions that there would be a delay to get food. Drinks came and we had to again ask to order food. There was a delay but it arrived eventually. The food at this restaurant is very good and the individual staff were pleasant but no one appears to be in overall charge so the general feeling was of chaos. It’s a shame as there is a captive clientele in this lovely small Rutland town. We didn’t stay for dessert and coffee and we went elsewhere.

I highly recommend this place. I went for a meal with my husband here last night. We both had a starter, pate for my husband and stuffed peppers for me. They were both faultless. My husband said it was the best pate he had tasted and my peppers were delicious they were both accompanied by a tomato chutney which was also delicious. My husband had the steak for his main and I had scampi. The portions were really generous and every element of the meals were excellent. Don Paddys is a really friendly venue with great staff. We visited this little restaurant for the first time for a quick meal before a concert in the local church, and again for refreshment after the concert. It has a truly lovely ambience being housed in a historic building, with a positively interesting decor, perhaps one might say trendy. The staff were friendly and polite, service with a smile which was much appreciated. I ordered a burger which came in fairly reasonable time and was very tasty. However, upon returning after the concert, we selected coffee and cake, and a pint. The drinks came quickly, but it was clear that the staff had forgotten about the cake!
