"The menu was reduced and not the same as the menu in the hotel rooms and advertised on their website. Food was of a high standard however the service let it down as some items from our order were missed and we were the only table in restaurant. The staff were more focussed on the wedding party at the bar that over spills into the restaurant area for the hotel. Maybe it was just the evening that we dined in the restaurant. The food that we did have was delicious."

The George is part of a historic Inn in the historic town of Oakham. The service was friendly and the food good though the portions rather large for our taste.

This was the only restaurant in town offering bookings at 9pm. After a long journey it was good to sit in a very pleasant restaurant with friendly and helpful service, wine very reasonably priced and good food.
