"Honestly the service was one of the poorest I have ever experienced from a so called michilen star restaurant based in Mayfair the initial waiter had no clue about the drinks or menu recommendations After we finally got around to getting a server who knew the menu, the food was average only standout wasabi prawns. Then they seemed to have forgetten our table we was left for 20 30mins with no server coming to clear it. At the beginning I told the waiter, I was looking forward to dessert! But after that I couldn’t wait to just pay get out of the place. Bang average and service absolutely poor! Won’t be coming back much better places in Mayfair!"

"This is the best Chinese restaurant my wife and I have ever visited (and we've been to a lot). The food quality was exceptional - Michelin Star quality in both taste and presentation. They even provided a child seat for our 8-month-old baby. I had the handmade herbal spring rolls as a starter and the seafood in truffle sauce for the main course. The drink selection was also good. While the prices were high, they were expected given the high quality of the food."

"great place, from beginning to end we could not mistake this restaurant, the employees make them feel comfortable and take care of the moment they arrive. the food we have ordered was the £30 a head gosforth palace banquet, there is a good choice to choose its served piping hot and it was all delicious, also good size fractions. the employees are very confident and attentive and ensure that they have everything they need. well made to all employees for a great night we will definitely recommend to family and friends and we will be back soon."

". I decided to go to oriental city before the cross stamford street. the oriental city restaurant is part of the Sing-Ying group, which imports everything and everything oriental in the northern englands. they say their chefs from hongkong have over 40 years experience in the kitchens that produce their cantonese and Sichuan dishes. the restaurant was opened in 2007, but I had never heard of the place until I had read something a month ago, I used my Sat-Nav to find my way there, as I would probably have been lost in sheepscar. from the road they would never really guess that it is there as the building it in double as Chinese super market, probably the largest in leeds. IMG_3955 the parking lot is very small and I was happy that I could squeeze my tiny car in a small space. the restaurant is located in the first floor and when entering I saw a large dimly-lit room, with its black flowing ceiling and many of the usual large round tables with the rotating upper sides for large"

"There are a few options here, and yeah they were tasty. The tofu sweet and sour with boiled rice was nice. I also had selected items on the vegetarian platter I’m pretty sure there was at least one option on there that wasn’t vegan. The price is high for what you get and how much you get. Decent ambience to the place. Staff were okay, not overly friendly. Would go again, but only if invited by others wouldn’t choose to go."

"I've never been here and never again. We were 1 out of 3 tables on Saturday night and I can see why. The concept of eating as much as you want for a certain price, we ordered six starters, the ribs were chewing and the spring rolls inspected. The net came and our guest had to spit out his pig when he couldn't swallow it. My chicken with spring onions and ginger was called, I sweated all night and prayed not to be sick. If I had paid for this meal, I would have told the owners what I thought, but our friends who pick up the tab are too friendly."

"I ordered this as a special valentines meal. I knew the main meal prices were expensive but I was shocked to receive a phone call stating I had to spend a minimum of 20 per person on food.. This wasn't stated anywhere on the booking! I arrived 20 minutes early and was shown to the bar and ordered drinks and said I was happy to accept my table early if available.. Half a hour later I was still waiting for my table yet had seen couples without a reservation get seated straight away so was a little surprised that I had to ask if my own table was ready and not be called over by the host. I ordered the minimum 40 worth of food and ordered 2 starters and 3 main meals. The starters came promptly but this is where the problems continued.. The portion sizes were tiny, 6 vegetable spring rolls which you could eat in one mouthful. During this time and all through out the service, I had different waiters bringing me more starters that I did not order and even the tables next to me had to refuse food 3 times which they did not order. Once the starters had been cleared, the mains were promptly brought over apart from the 1/4 duck.. So we had the sweet and sour chicken (tiny portion yet again) and beef noodles.. A server came over to me and confirmed my name an asked if I had a booking for 7 people whilst I was eating my meal! I was a bit confused by this as the meal kept getting interrupted. Another waiter was hovering over me waiting for me to take my plate whilst I was still eating! The duck never came by it self, I had to ask where it was.. If I didn't have a minimum spend I would have asked for it to have been deducted. Once the duck was cleared, we had another server ask us if we had finished our starters! Once the bill came it wasn't itemised and just stated Food: ?? And drink ?? Overall it was a thoroughly disappointing experience and sadly won't be turning up again as Ive never had such poor service. Such a shame."

"I’ve never been so disappointed at a restaurant, and I won’t be returning. We were one of only three tables on a Saturday night, and it was easy to see why. The idea of all-you-can-eat for a set price sounded appealing, but the execution was lacking. We ordered six starters, and the ribs were tough while the spring rolls were underwhelming. When the main course arrived, one of my friends struggled to eat his dish. My chicken with spring onions and ginger was overwhelming, leaving me sweating all night and worried about feeling ill. If I had paid for this meal, I would have expressed my dissatisfaction directly to the owners, but our friends who handled the bill were just too nice."

"it's been over 25 years since I made the first place in edinburgh rendezvous, and I can say without doubt that it is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in the world. I don't live in Britain anymore, so when I visit, I take every opportunity to taste their delicacies. 25 years later, it's just as good as it was. this device is more than just a restaurant, it is an institution, a real sign that edinburgh defines. simply the best Chinese food in the city and one of the best in the country."

"I'm sorry to say that the restaurant was not good. The sauces were watery and lacked flavor, the meats were overcooked and not seasoned, the rice was doughy and bloated, and overall there was a lack of attention to quality."

"Went as a group of 6 for a friends birthday and had The Best time. Huge range of food and all of it was absolutely delicious satay sauce...such a small point but! it was superb! all arrived piping hot and super tasty. We moved on to Beer Pong, the manager arranged for us to go on as a group hadn't turned up and we didn't know you had to book. Very kind helpful man! Was BRILLIANT fun special mention to Henry who looked after us in the best possible way a Happy Birthday pud for our friend some shots (which were surprisingly LOVELY! at the horseshoe table. Made sure we all had a great experience. Highly recommend this place for an all round top evening. "
"The food took a long time to arrive and is a little pricey. . . but was well worth the wait and the money. Shanghai Papa is by far the best Chinese in Winchester. Thank you for another delicious meal. As always we will be back."

"The service at this restaurant is always incredible, whether you are dining in or getting takeout. My children really enjoy coming here because the staff is very attentive and accommodating, especially for those with food allergies or sensitivities. Their chicken soup is a beloved family favorite and the menu offers a wide variety of options to satisfy any palate. They also have a great selection of vegetarian dishes. I highly recommend giving them a try - you won't be disappointed!"

"we have reviewed reviews on urbanspoon and tripadvisor before we eat here. both have rated it very, so I think we are inferior when we say we were disappointed. the restaurant itself is slightly dated, but has a charm. it seemed that many older couples are welcomed by the beautiful staff very familiar, in which did it seemed a few just regular here the staff is fantastic. could not be more efficient or friendly. I really liked that. eating was not as pleasant as we hoped. the pork dumplings had a very strong seafood taste to them, and the spring rolls were pretty dirty. happy tasty sauces were served to improve them. the bizarre looking...read more"

"The reviews online are not wrong. The restaurant is centrally located near the train station. The ambience is beautiful and traditional. Staff are gentle, friendly, friendly and attentive. The food portions are generous and well presented, arriving piping hot. The menu is extensive. The meal didn't feel rushed at all. Although it was a Saturday night, we stayed almost 4 hours and did not feel under pressure to finish the food, although the restaurant was full. I would recommend a reservation in advance. I would like to thank all the staff of this restaurant for such a nice culinary experience. Thank you."

"I went here with my gf for mum, I really enjoyed it and it seems dona good trade supply food to all the demand I saw to eat a series of chaps. the dimme sum was freshly tasting, it was very tasty and I sometimes underestimated how temperature hot it would be and I had to wait until I had to cool down. I'm from hongkong and I was impressed with the food. the ribs had a beautiful sauce they had in their mouth tender flesh. the siu mai well made and freshly made. the crispy pork bauchnabel bao was beautiful because the skin was so delicious and crispy in a white bao. the sweet fish cakes were so pleasant I ordered two plates. the dizzying dumplings were very well filled. they had nothing sweet, which I would recommend, because the fried milk bars were not on camp. excellent service the ladies there were so beautiful and polite. they made sure we were good at lunch. I really enjoyed myself and also my English gf. when they enjoyed my review and found it helpful, please press it like. Many thanks."

"We started off with some delicious Jasmine tea, served generously in a hot metal pot. We also enjoyed some Sake, served at the perfect temperature and quantity. The flavour was exceptional. For our main dishes, we ordered the quarter duck, which came with plenty of shredded meat and pancakes. We were pleasantly surprised to have leftover pancakes, unlike other restaurants. The entire team at The Good Earth is dedicated to providing top-notch service. Next, we tried the steamed sea bass, which was presented beautifully. The seasoning was perfect, and the temperature of the filleted fish was just right. It was expertly cooked, as there wasn't a single bone in sight. The egg fried rice was served in a sturdy bamboo container with a lid and spoon to keep it warm. After our feast, we unfortunately didn't have room for dessert, but we will definitely try it next time. We often visit the Knightsbridge branch for lunch, but the overall experience at this Mill Hill location was on a different level. A big thank you to the staff and management for providing us with excellent service and a memorable evening. Regards, Sanjay"

"It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a reliable Chinese takeaway service that can become his go to choice on a Saturday night. Over the years, I have developed a theory that whilst a quality pizza delivery place is not difficult to find, and a quality Indian joint is rare, but can exist, a quality Chinese takeaway the sort that stands out from the crowd and warrants numerous return visits is the thing of myth and legend. It's a pleasure to finally be proven wrong. Firecracker is a restaurant first, and a takeaway second. Perhaps this should, if anything, diminish the quality of their delivery work but in fact...read more"
