"I really wanted to like this, we were bought the tasting menu as a gift, and waited for a special occasion to use it. Unfortunately this was sub standard. I would not recommend for the price. Good points interesting use of seafood, never had a sea bream chaat before, and in all fairness this dish was the best we had. wine pairings were successful flexing between both white and red wines from Europe staff were attentive, although a bit quick to turnover courses door staff were lovely presentation of all the food was better than the taste Negatives decor overall felt dated and old fashioned food was largely bland over spiced and not enough flavour. Actually left my main meal of sole kebab as was rubbery overall atmosphere felt stuffy and not at all worthy of a special occasion price did not justify vs other tasting menus. "We went for a dinner with friends, we ordered salt pepper corn, chilli paneer, masala Mogo, veg samosa’s which were all edible but nothing that was outstanding, but all edible and we all ate. For mains we ordered butter chicken, shahi paneer, dal makhani and naan and nothing was really outsindong, they added juts lots of chilli powder on the dal makhani but forgot to add any butter or cream! The paneer was again the same nothing shahi about it. They did offer to make it again but we didn’t want to wait around for them to make it all again. Be aware when ordering a jug of coke or drink! It’s £12 for 3 large glasses of coke whereas the the jug is £12 and only offer you 1.5 glasses of coke! So felt a bit ripped off there! But we didn’t say anything to them about it but def not worth getting the jug! Lesson learnt not sure if rush back to eat there again as nothing really stood out"

"Arrived in time. Restaurant was approximately 50% empty. Table was not ready. Asked to take a seat in the bar. Around 12 14 min later were taken to our table for 2. No menu. Few minutes later came food menu. No drinks menu. Requested papad with my drink, took 10 min before serving papad but wanted us to order food. Starter deserved 4 stars but kofta curry was bland and nothing like any Indian cuisine. Ordered pan kulfi was served two dollops of ice cream with grossly over powering pan flavouring added with touch of falooda ingredients. This was an insult to kulfi, priced at £12.50. When asked by staff about food, informed him about our opinion on the kulfi. He agreed that it had excessive pan flavouring and confessed that he had tasted it before it was served. This dish deserved minus 5 rating. The food is nothing like Baluchi at Lalit’s in Delhi and Mumbai. Baluchi London will be not be on our list for future."

"I ordered a tandoori full chicken for including the delivery and service charges , the menu said that full chicken comes with rice and salad and it takes minutes . the minutes passed and more than an hour after that the driver came but he neither buzzed the intercom nor phoned me but he was pushing the main door like there was no buzzer !!! I opened and took the food only to find the rice was not there , the salad was only onion and lettuce plus one small piece of tomato ! and the chicken itself was not cooked properly ! so I paid all those money only to have a disgusting chicken and missing rice .Extremely not professional with a negative attitude and dont deserve even this one star . just avoid them at all cost"

"A group of friends and I visited Glasgow and stumbled upon this charming restaurant. I was impressed by the beautiful paintings on the walls that brought back childhood memories. However, the food was a letdown. We ordered fish pakora and chili chicken, but the presentation of the chili chicken was unconventional and not to our liking. The taste was also disappointing. The Gol Goppa was a standout dish. The chicken Chettinadu and prawn korma were okay, but lacked authenticity. The biryani was overly buttery, overshadowing the spices and fragrance. The naan was the highlight of the meal. The staff was polite and the service was efficient. Overall, this restaurant may not be suitable for those seeking authentic Indian cuisine."

"the first time at tapasya. booked for a Monday evening and as expected, and like most restaurants, will always be quiet, but three tables covered such a ' atmosphere', the staff was very attentive and friendly, and eating was really delicious. in contrast to most Indian restaurants, the menu is quite small, so they can make sure that every dish is very good and freshly prepared. the web image is for 'indian fine eating'. yes, it seems safe! I did not taste as good Indian eating as this for a very long time, nor had serviettes placed on my lap in any Indian restaurant! the waitresses simply slide up to their table and fill their drinks without they perceive this. will definitely return in the near future, good things."

"we have booked a table for 4 for 7.30 clock, came 7.25 and it took 20 minutes to be separated for drinks. it has become worse! we were finally shown on the table of a 20% full restaurant and 25 minutes later the chef waiter had to ask if he could take our order with a posture as if he liked us one. we have been so paid by the dirty, sticky tables and w slow service we told the waiter we left, paid for our drinks and left. We'll never go back!"

"Unfortunately we did not see this restaurant at it's best. It was the day of a rugby final so it was packed. Knowing how busy the place would be we reserved a table and got seated on time. after a short wait we ordered and drinks and nibbles arrived quite quickly. Starters then came luke warm, and not particularly special. We then waited, and waited, and waited. An hour and three quarters after we arrived there was still no sign of a main course or any service we had tried to catch the eyes of the people working there several times. In the end we decided to leave. We reached the counter and asked to pay what we had received. This came to £40 for three drinks, nibbles and starters which we paid. In all fairness the manager was very apologetic. The waitress was very friendly as well. I could not fault either of these two. But clearly they must have been understaffed and this resulted in delays. We weren't the only group to complain about the time. So, in short, I can't really comment on how good this restaurant is usually. It has very good reviews which is why I made the reservation. But I would avoid on match days."

"The service is based on drinks as this was a buffetbooked this restaurant for a curry as it was the only one left on valentines night. Turned up and it was a buffet which was a shock as my girlfriend is gluten free. "Let's see, walked in and was calm, played music and was served by the waiter who sat on us. Both waiters and managers were kind, they gave us honest opinions about the food, and when they thought something would not fit our range, they told us. The food was fast and the service flew as it should. It is a shame that there were only 3 other tables of 3 and 5. An atmosphere would have created a perfect evening. I say I can't blame food, drink, service or hygiene. The fact that they show a window in the kitchen only builds my confidence that the hygiene standard it in the entire restaurant and not just the front. We will definitely return as I now have one of their loyalty cards and get both offers and points. Maybe we'll bring some more people. On a last note, the manager spoke to us about a Rajesh Khana Tribute Night, would like to go there for this. It seems to be an ongoing monthly event. Can wait until they start."

"I visited the Rustom restaurant on 29th Dec. 2021 during my Christmas New year break. It's a well maintained , neat and a formal looking restaurant. I had my lunch here. I ordered 3 starters which was good. The paneer was spicy but we'll cooked. The masala fish and grilled fish was good too. When I ordered just a single main curry , I was requested by the staff to order a minimum of two curries since it's a hotel policy they follow. Was taken aback as I did not see it coming but obliged to it. The main course was good as the starters but personally Omar Khayyam restaurant which is quite next to this hotel which has overall lower rating than this wins hands down. Except the main curries hotel policy I was happy with the food and the polite staff."
