"Damn-tasty. Someone said lack of competition ? No, Glasgow has many Japanese restaurants/cafés, one is even just a few doors away from Ichiban Queen St. I have been countless times, brought friends who want to try Japanese for the first time, brought my Mum and Dad, went for lunch with college friends, etc. I can honestly say, I 've never been dissapointed. Ichiban holds up well to competition believe me, I 've been to most of the other Japanese restaurants in this city! Wagamama 's unfriendly staff and undercooked chicken gyoza put me off, I 've never been since. Oko Express is good, but the 'express ' part isn 't so accurate! Nanakusa, Sapporo and OkSushi are a great experience, but are...read more"

"We had a takeaway a few weeks ago and it was amazing but tonight it was awful. The duck had undercooked skin in the curry, the curry was thin and oily. The pad Thai was odd, never tasted anything like it. Definitely won’t be ordering again, £75 wasted on food that we didn’t eat. Not sure if the chef has changed but we still definitely gone down hill"

"Came here for the first time in 3 years (due to the pandemic . We came for my partner's birthday and had dinner. We were served by a young man who was extremely friendly and polite, with prompt service. The lychee daiquiri was a dream, a bit strong, just the way I like it! We had the 5 small plates for around 30 pounds to start off with, (fried mushrooms, duck gyoza, karaage chicken x 2 chicken skewers we absolutely loved the chicken skewers, the mushrooms and the karaage chicken! They were just the right size and were extremely moreish! We each had a main as well, (butternut squash plus other things I forget superbowl with added chicken breast, chicken katsu burger, beef brisket burger with cheese and beef brisket without cheese burger. The katsu burger was okay, a good amount of chicken and the breadcrumb coating was lovely; the sauce was okay, I feel that perhaps it didn't quite work as a burger, but was nice nonetheless. The other two burgers were very nice and the balance of meat and other fillings wes just right. (The burgers are big by the way! (I forgot to take pictures of the foods ordered the superbowl was lovely as well, was not really to my personal taste, however my partner loved it. The atmosphere and decor are smart and calming with an air of sophistication. I liked the plant decor and the teal and gold colours. We came here originally 3 years ago for lunch and then a few months later they refurbished the place and this is what we have now. Very nice. Always recommend All Bar One's food, as it's a hidden gem I believe! (Photos show our drinks (white wine, tap water, 2 lychee daiquiris and orange lemonade mixed , also shown are images of special cocktail covers and serving equipment (by Hendricks Gin on the side, they looked so cool so I took some pictures."

"Disappointing, I expected authentic Thai food, but it didn’t happen. The starters were good. However the curry was flavourless. The potatoes were hard and couldn’t be eaten. However the waitress was very pleasant. I have had authentic Thai food and expected the same. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £100+ Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2"

"Having never visited Portsmouth before we didn't know where to get dinner whilst visiting for my wife's work. Good ol' Trip Advisor drew this place to our attention, and boy are we glad it did! Service was friendly but attentive. Good knowledge of what was gluten free for my coeliac wife. All 4 dishes we had were outstanding. I particularly recommend the satay (perfectly cooked chicken) and the penang (such depth of flavour).. I doubt anything would disappoint to be honest. A casual but smart interior in a quirky building added to the ambience, and the prices were reasonable. Oh, and if you've got a bit of space at the end of your meal, try the triple chocolate martini you'll thank me! I'm just hoping we need to go back to Portsmouth again soon...."

"This restaurant is absolutely fantastic. Throughout our holiday, the staff were consistently polite and friendly. The food was delicious, with the best ribs I've ever had, as well as amazing burgers and fish and chips. I highly recommend this place, as it is family and dog-friendly. This is definitely one of the best bars/restaurants I've been to."

"Amazing place!! We're getting married here in 39 days! (will get my fiancé to leave another review on the wedding afterwards! I wanted to say how amazing the service is here when booking a wedding! Everything is so organised and they give so much care and attention to all the details. We came in for a meeting the other day and we're treated to a fantastic complimentary cocktail! it was fantastic! We decided to order an afternoon tea and everything was amazing, the scones were fresh out of the oven and there was more food than we could possibly manage to eat!!"

"Good venue. But I don 't like the dublin late bar thing where there is no financial reason why but they put the price of drinks up after 12 o 'clock. Good sound and good venue. Bar staff are good at doing their job but maybe need to be more chatty friendly instead of business like. I know you have to give plastic glasses for pints, but I hate them. And they are never a full pint. I have heard the argument many a time. There is a different shape but same amount. No, there not. Price should reflect this. Especially when you 're getting a Guinness and it needs a head. But apart from that the sound is great and toilet facilities are great. Could do with a cleaner monitoring them during the night, though, as they got grubby towards the end."

"We were a party of 10 adults and 3 children, greeted and made to feel welcome by Olivia who looked after us brilliantly all evening. We had various menu choices and every dish was excellent with each person being served at the same time. The other waitresses assisting Olivia also did a fantastic job, the whole experience ensured a great evening for my wife’s birthday. Look forward to seeing you again soon. "I never write reviews, but for ginza I just have to: I took my partner for her birthday and the moment when we arrived, it was a fantastic experience. Although the restaurant was very busy and we were not able to have the regular table that I originally booked, the staff gave us the choice, either on the Teppanyaki counter or the Robata, which I thought was a lot to sit on the standard. the food and the drinks were from this world. we ordered some starters and sushi from the a la carte menu to start and then we ordered some items from the teppanyaki and robata menu. also the chef on the Teppanyaki counter this evening (27/11/21) was extremely friendly and attentive. he was very tight and we have the feeling that he had extra time and effort in our dishes. he even personally brought the dishes on our table and was extremely informative in the description of the dishes. finally our server, richard, would not have been a better host. he was attentive, friendly and remembered all the complicated details. he combined each individual asspect of the service and transformed an already fabulous meal into an unforgettable culinary experience. he engaged in charming talk and made sure that we felt like we were the only customers there. I will definitely come back and spread the word to my friends."

"We were very impressed with the service, quality of the food and attentiveness of the staff. I hosted my sister's Baby Shower for guests at Thai Corner on October and everyone had a fantastic afternoon. Our waiter went above and beyond for us, offering to help with the decorations and ensuring our glasses were never empty! and his English was excellent! I would definitely host another event there.Thank you to all the staff at Pad ThaiCollette Vigneswaren"

"I used to frequent the Queen Street branch of this restaurant a few years ago before the pandemic, visiting multiple times a week. The food was always fresh, tasty, and plentiful. However, after visiting twice in recent months, I am greatly disappointed. The teriyaki chicken now tastes more like boiled chicken with a sauce poured on top, and the portions of meat are small. I also ordered karaage on my second visit, but when asked about my rice and vegetable preferences, it wasn't followed through on. The portions were lackluster, and the sauce resembled a tasteless, clear glue. It felt like a throwback to old Asian takeaways with MSG from the 80s. It's a shame that the quality has declined so much, but despite this, people still seem willing to wait in line. I used to miss this place when I went to our suburban kokoru chain, but even that offers tastier and better value food than this restaurant."

"Fantastic range of small dishes and meals for lunch and dinner. The menu ranges from scandi to oriental, so something for everyone. The menu is clearly marked with allergens, including what meals can be adapted. The chicken is halal and vegan and vegetarian options are plentiful. The cocktail and mocktail menu is great and they do one of the best espresso martinis in Shrewsbury. The decor is modern and comfortable and there is plenty of space. As a wheelchair user, I can get into the ground floor and to a table. The outside seats are up a small step, but the whole front of the building is a retractable wall of windows, so I can still get the feeling of eating outside in good weather. The service is friendly and knowledgeable about allergies, the menu and the wine list. The staff are helpful and unobtrusive. The only difficulty for me (hence the 4 star review) is that the accessible bathroom is next door, in their sister bar, Libertine. Unfortunately, libertine isn't open the same hours as HotRS, so I can only use it at certain times. The ladies does have a lock on the door, so staff have cleared the ladies toilets, which allowed me to take my chair in and lock the door. I had to walk a couple of steps to get into a stall but my chair was safely with me. Of course, there is also no alarm cord, but they stood outside the door so would have heard if I shouted for help."

"This restaurant in Colchester is definitely the best we have tried. We had an amazing meal there last night. This was our first visit since the refurbishment and we were impressed with the new dishes on the menu. The staff and atmosphere were fantastic. There are plenty of vegetarian options available and we highly recommend trying them. The service, food, and atmosphere all receive a top score of 5. Some recommended dishes include Tempura Asparagus, Roast Duck, and North Hill Noodles. Vegetarian dishes are clearly labeled on the menu. Overall, this restaurant is well worth a visit for a delicious dinner costing around £30-40 per person."

"The food at this restaurant is authentic and delicious. My family and I, who have lived in Thailand and have a Thai family member, frequent this establishment often and are always satisfied with the quality of the dishes. The food is made to order, but the wait time is usually minimal. The same woman has been managing the restaurant for a significant amount of time, and the service is consistently friendly and efficient. I don't understand why some people may see the prices as expensive - the staff always put in their best effort and deserve fair compensation for their work. The owner also deserves to make a profit for her dedication and hard work, considering the costs of ingredients, utilities, and business expenses. I highly recommend this restaurant!"

"I recently celebrated my friend's birthday at this restaurant and had an amazing experience. The food and drinks were reasonably priced and the atmosphere was great. The staff were friendly and helpful. My partner and I shared the roll combo, which was more than enough for us. The lobster roll was delicious and a unique twist on a classic dish. Overall, I have nothing negative to say and would definitely come back. I gave it 4 stars because they cannot accommodate groups larger than 8, which meant our group of 12 had to sit separately."

"Consistently shocking service. I feel like the person who works there has a future as a doctor's surgery receptionist, they do as much as possible to prevent you ordering. They try and get you to use a machine to order, which often doesn't work, and if you mention it you get scowled at. They seem unaware of how to fix it. They are extremely rude when you arrive and if you're lucky enough to get their attention they treat you as an inconvenience, manners don't exist. They are obviously focused on Deliveroo rather than walk ins for lunch. Sadly it's nice enough sushi (albeit a very confusing menu that makes no sense on the ordering machine) but the service is rude and confusing. This has happened on too many occasions now and I won't be returning."
