"I made a reservation for 5:30 PM tonight two days ago and drove over from Liverpool with my elderly parents, only to find the restaurant completely closed and boarded up. This is absolutely unacceptable. Why would you take a booking if you aren't open for business? I went into the shops on either side of the restaurant to inquire, and they informed me that many people have been facing the same issue for weeks, including some who were charged for takeaway food only to discover that the restaurant was not operating. I am incredibly outraged. I also tried calling the phone numbers for both the Hale and Knutsford locations, but neither connected. I strongly advise you to AVOID this place at all costs."

"Welcomed by Jasmine on our arrival and promptly seated, despite the fact we were early! Jasmine and Kelly took very good care of us throughout, which was great because we had no idea what we were doing! Jasmine was able to advise on dishes and beverages which was really helpful. Food and drinks arrived promptly, and the food was perfectly cooked, looked fabulous and tasted delicious. Prices were reasonable and the menu has a good selection to suit most people. Highly recommended!"

"I’ve been to Nippon Kitchen many times. I find service is either amazing or poor never in between. The vegan bento box is great value for money and tastes great. Included in the bento box for about £11 miso soup, 3 sushi rolls, veg tempura, 2 dumplings, soy beans, curry and rice. Ordering meals separately, I find is expensive and not worth it. Overall love the restaurant and definitely would go back. Clear, separate vegan menus."

"My son and I decided to pop in to chopstix for some lunch as we had not tried it before. Very pleasant experience. The food was excellent, especially the salt and pepper chicken. The dining area was also spotless. The staff who served us, Callie and Erica, were very friendly and inviting. Very nice to see happy, cheerful staff who obviously enjoy their work. "Friendly staff, a nice take on traditional Japanese fare. There’s no pressure to eat a full meal, even at lunch time (some students dropped by ate only dessert specials), a nice approach. The edamame beans are delicious, the pork donburi very filling! I suspect the miso soup is made to cater for vegans, it doesn’t have the fatty richness of genuine miso broth made from pork bones; the rice in our dishes was not sticky as it would be in Japan, which made eating it with chopsticks more difficult. Slightly disappointing as Chef appeared to be Japanese! The guys found the chicken teriyaki less filling than my donburi, the chicken udon noodles was enjoyed. The Takoyaki (octupus balls) were the star of the show, tasty representative of the real McCoy! Reasonably priced fast service. One to return to."

"the personal was amazing that everyone smiled and really woke up. the presentation of foods was really impressive the visualization and plates. Unfortunately, eating was not so big missing aromas and flavors. ramen nudeln looked rather disappointing not sure what kind of noodles, but tasted like the cheapest. the huh katsu was missing, as mentioned above, also the taste. sushi wasn't bad, can't complain, but not so good for the price. I'm glad we tried this restaurant because we were much interested, but I don't think we're back."

"We arrived having booked a table for 6 people on a Friday at 8pm and although the bar area was busy, the restaurant was virtually empty and we needn't had booked. The dining area is extremely dark and we could barely read the sparce menu (the menu I'd viewed online had much more on it) We ordered some drinks which took a fair while to arrive, but came with an apology about the wait. For starters we shared some small plates, which were fantastic. I would highly recommend the scotch egg. Unfortunately this was the highlight of the meal. After hearing some commotion in the kitchen our main course arrived and whilst my fish and chips was delicious, the rest of my party ordered burgers which arrived over cooked and hard,disguised in a moist brioche bun. That being said, as soon as this was pointed out, the waiter apologised profusely and immediately took them off of our bill. The waiter was absolutely amazing and really made our experience there. I would return but only for drinks and perhaps a scotch egg or two."

"Unlike the name would suggest, this restaurant isn’t completely vegan and they do serve meat and other animal products as well. Staff was polite but I wouldn’t call them friendly. The place didn’t feel inviting because it’s small and pretty minimal. Vegan menu has a lot of options and not just vegan burgers like most places. I had the teriyaki tofu with veggies and the pumpkin soup and the mini red velvet cake. They were good, but nothing really special though. "It was my sister's birthday and i was the one that choose this place, based on my last experience with them the very first time they opened the one in Hammersmith. But alas when we got there we were all very disappointed, it was not the same as when we first started. FOOD PORTION WERE VERY VERY VERY VERY SMALL. I ordered for them beef BBQ. there was like six little beef served to me in a bowl, and it was labelled TWO portion. was not able to cook it myself... My sis could not eat the noddle she ordered for. was horrible. The dumpling were nice though lmfao. Drinks were overpriced and small. Food were ridiculously small for an expensive price. I felt so bad taking my sis there for her birthday, as she was so disappointed. SMH"

"Itsu in Notting Hill Gate has consistently met expectations, both before, during, and after the Covid-19 pandemic. The restaurant maintains a comfortable temperature, staying cool in the summer and warm in the winter. The establishment is clean, well-decorated, and staffed with professional employees. The shelves are always neatly arranged, service is quick, and the decor is inviting. As for the food, the Mochi cheesecake is a standout dish, with a delicate blend of the cheesecake alongside the soft, chewy Mochi casing. "I used to frequent the Queen Street branch of this restaurant a few years ago before the pandemic, visiting multiple times a week. The food was always fresh, tasty, and plentiful. However, after visiting twice in recent months, I am greatly disappointed. The teriyaki chicken now tastes more like boiled chicken with a sauce poured on top, and the portions of meat are small. I also ordered karaage on my second visit, but when asked about my rice and vegetable preferences, it wasn't followed through on. The portions were lackluster, and the sauce resembled a tasteless, clear glue. It felt like a throwback to old Asian takeaways with MSG from the 80s. It's a shame that the quality has declined so much, but despite this, people still seem willing to wait in line. I used to miss this place when I went to our suburban kokoru chain, but even that offers tastier and better value food than this restaurant."

"Fantastic range of small dishes and meals for lunch and dinner. The menu ranges from scandi to oriental, so something for everyone. The menu is clearly marked with allergens, including what meals can be adapted. The chicken is halal and vegan and vegetarian options are plentiful. The cocktail and mocktail menu is great and they do one of the best espresso martinis in Shrewsbury. The decor is modern and comfortable and there is plenty of space. As a wheelchair user, I can get into the ground floor and to a table. The outside seats are up a small step, but the whole front of the building is a retractable wall of windows, so I can still get the feeling of eating outside in good weather. The service is friendly and knowledgeable about allergies, the menu and the wine list. The staff are helpful and unobtrusive. The only difficulty for me (hence the 4 star review) is that the accessible bathroom is next door, in their sister bar, Libertine. Unfortunately, libertine isn't open the same hours as HotRS, so I can only use it at certain times. The ladies does have a lock on the door, so staff have cleared the ladies toilets, which allowed me to take my chair in and lock the door. I had to walk a couple of steps to get into a stall but my chair was safely with me. Of course, there is also no alarm cord, but they stood outside the door so would have heard if I shouted for help."

"I never write reviews, but for ginza I just have to: I took my partner for her birthday and the moment when we arrived, it was a fantastic experience. Although the restaurant was very busy and we were not able to have the regular table that I originally booked, the staff gave us the choice, either on the Teppanyaki counter or the Robata, which I thought was a lot to sit on the standard. the food and the drinks were from this world. we ordered some starters and sushi from the a la carte menu to start and then we ordered some items from the teppanyaki and robata menu. also the chef on the Teppanyaki counter this evening (27/11/21) was extremely friendly and attentive. he was very tight and we have the feeling that he had extra time and effort in our dishes. he even personally brought the dishes on our table and was extremely informative in the description of the dishes. finally our server, richard, would not have been a better host. he was attentive, friendly and remembered all the complicated details. he combined each individual asspect of the service and transformed an already fabulous meal into an unforgettable culinary experience. he engaged in charming talk and made sure that we felt like we were the only customers there. I will definitely come back and spread the word to my friends."

"I read a lot of great reviews on line and I thought I would experience a lovely time with my 18 month old daughter and best friend. I was really disappointed with how we were treated. I am also 8 and a half months pregnant and I’ve been to several restaurants in the past where I have taken mini snacks for my daughter just incase she did not like the food provided at the restaurant. Several restaurants had no issues with it. I was so disappointed with how we were approached. I was approached by a stern man who instructed me to put away the Pringles I gave my daughter to distract her whilst we ordered our food. It was very unprofessional of him and he was incredibly rude in the process when I tried to explain to him that my daughter is quite hungry and needs something He walked off in the midst of the conversation. He said it was not his problem if the child refused to eat the food they had at his restaurant but he was not prepared for us to have other food not purchased at the restaurant. As a mother, I have never heard of such a thing and felt very disappointed with how we were treated honestly. The service wasn’t great for the rest of the evening and very little attention was paid to detail. The other waiter at the bar was also quite rude and got frustrated with me when I got up to ask for cutlery. The service overall was just really heartbreakingly disappointing. We are as quickly as possible and left. I will not recommended this restaurant if you have a little child, as they do not seem to want to cater for certain people. I was quite disappointed as I saw the first waiter speak with people from his background quite nicely and served them nicely too."

"AVOID!!! Myself and my family decided to come and eat at KORI Bournemouth as it’s a fairly new restaurant. Also we are trying to support new and small businesses. HOWEVER we had an awful experience. I was with my husband and my 5 year old non verbal autistic son, my little boy was a little unsettled and upset. I tried to calm him down. We placed a large order of food and drinks, ranging from starters and mains. Once all our food arrived we were asked to leave the restaurant. The owner said my sons behaviour was stopping new customers from coming in as well as disturbing customers in his restaurant. HOWEVER it was on my family plus 1 single guy in the whole restaurant. The whole time we were there no one came to the restaurant. I agreed to leave and asked for the bill. I also explained my son is autistic and the restaurant was empty which was a reflection on his business not my sons behaviour. Also to add I found hair in my rice, I politely moved it to one side and did not say anything as I’m not the type to make big things out of something small or upset people, now thinking about it maybe I should of questioned the hygiene part of his restaurant. I hardly touched my food as we were asked to leave and it completely affected my appetite. I completely understand that sometimes kids crying can be a little distracting or annoying HOWEVER at the time we were at the restaurant it was only my family and 1 other person. It’s hard enough being a parent to an autistic child, I was really upset and we felt discriminated. This place is unhygienic and has awful customer service . For these reasons being and my overall experience, I now understand why the restaurant was empty."
