"Delighted to find this place after a long time searching for a good all-day breakfast. We had the Manhattan and Brooklyn breakfasts and they were superb. The quality of ingredients was very high, the preparation and delivery time were speedy and the service was impeccable. Huge portions too! It's a lovely, well maintained and decorated wee venue that was busy but space is managed well so that it doesn't feel crowded. We'll be back. "I attended an event here in July. I have since received a county court letter before claim for parking in the FREE car park. the website states nothing about the parking accept that the car park is free and there was nothing clear to me at the car park itself or inside on attending the event to say that the free car park was somehow being used as a money making scheme for a parking firm. I would not go to this hotel again, only to be aggressively pursued by a third party parking company for months afterwards."

"We booked there for Easter Sunday lunch, after I saw it recommended on Time Out magazine. As soon as we entered the restaurant, there was a very peculiar fishy smell… which did linger for a long time. But apart from that – everything was great. The food tasted delicious and fresh. The customer service was very good. They also participate in the ‘Kids Eat Free’ offer, which was great for us, as we had our 2 kids with us. So, yes, all in all, a nice experience."

"I had an amazing experience at this restaurant with its moo ping and khao niew that transported me back to Thailand. The staff were incredible and served us with great care. Despite our initial doubts due to the empty restaurant at 8 o'clock on a Thursday, we were pleasantly surprised by the delicious and authentic food. I am grateful to have discovered this gem. Even though I didn't catch our server's name, one of them had recently returned from Thailand and even gave us some durian and dried bananas to try. The hospitality was truly Thai and heartwarming. Thank you! With such great food, they should be much busier. The pad thai and drunken noodles were also outstanding."

"The menu appeared promising and we decided to try the Chicken and crispy bacon Ciabatta. We imagined a toasted bun with grilled chicken and crispy bacon, but what we received was chunks of chicken and soggy bacon in a heavy creamy sauce in an untoasted roll. It was disappointing in both appearance and taste, and we ended up leaving half of it untouched. The Tripadvisor description of the Royal mentioned fresh, expertly prepared food cooked on a chargrill, but our experience was quite different. This was our first visit since the restaurant changed ownership and sadly, we may need to look for a new local spot for dining."

"Should have been very good, BUT.... Went here with some friends who strongly recommended the special steak option, which they had had before were looking forward to again. They had it but my wife and I didn't, preferring to try something different. Their steaks arrived we could immediately tell they weren't as expected. Apparently they were tough didn't have much flavour. We commented on this to the waiter, who apologised continued with our meal. My wife my choices were much better. At the end of the meal, the waiter brought us the bill told us that the whole group of restaurants had returned their steaks to their suppliers! I checked the bill saw that we had been charged full price for ours! I queried this with the waiter who disappeared quite sheepishly returned with a revised bill with the steaks removed. I find this frankly unacceptable. When someone complains in a restaurant regarding food quality, I expect the restaurant to look into the problem, but then having found out that the group had returned all their steaks, the fact that they tried to charge us full price...."

"I called on Thursday 04.08.2016 in Thai-Tanik to try the tofu, as recommended by a friend and was not disappointed. Instead, I'm just sorry I didn't try to eat this little one before. for the lunchtime, while the mid-week this takeaway (which has a few tables for sit-ins) was quiet, without doubt because there are summertime and related students and workers are gone on vacation. Nevertheless, as I also, there were a few other diners there and I think Thai-Tanic would be extremely busy when the holiday season ends as eating was fantastic. I ordered green Thai sweet curry with tofu, plus a side of coconut rice. together with a bottle of mineral water it cost me around £7.50, which was a lunch special. amazing value for this quality. my dish was cooked in an open kitchen, from fresh, and served cake hot in a generous part. aromen were immense and spicy great that strong, delicious flavor that lets her nase run, not yet exaggerates finer aromen. perfect. I enjoyed every mortal and will definitely be back for more. all the elements on the menu have a sweet / tofu option that is fabulous to see, so vegetarians have an excellent choice to choose from. Thai-tanic also have delivery service available Thursday to Sunday, offer catering for events and guide Thai cooking classes. Top brands for tasty eating, friendly service and relaxed, unpretentious ambiente. a wonderful little nude."

"The Siam Smile restaurant is located near the Antrobus Hotel, with a parking lot available for guests. The restaurant offers a beautiful view of the hotel gardens and has a lovely, airy atmosphere. They serve a buffet on Mondays and Wednesdays, but also offer a la carte options. Live music is featured on the first Monday or Wednesday of each month, but it's best to check with the hotel for specific details. I opted for the buffet while my wife chose a la carte. The mixed starters were all delicious, but the chicken satay with its thick sauce was a standout for me. I received extra portions at no additional cost. For my main course, I had a red chicken curry which had just the right amount of heat and was served with fragrant jasmine rice. The service was excellent and accommodating, even when we changed our minds multiple times. We look forward to returning soon."

"Traveled the whole way from the north with the family.We we're staying in skerries for a few days.Now we're tbh not a fussy bunch but the food was cold they ran out of larger on tap and the Guiness was fizzy???? Plus we were told we had 1hr 30 mins because they needed the table.There was 10 of us so it took 50 mins for the food to come out.On a positive note the steak was the nicest I've tastest in a long time.This is an honest review."

"Been to this place for dinner , very good place for dining great atmosphere and location. The food is great but service is not very great to many errors made not to just us but also to surroundings customers , we ordered a hallouimi as a starter but they send us chips and when challenged he didn’t brought it until we finished our dinner. Also they charge for water and the guy said it’s for charity they charge . Dessert was nice . Just few hick ups but rest all ok."

"Ordered chilli nachos, ham egg and chips and cheesy chips. The chilli on the nachos (or should I say under was absolutely disgusting, tasted like it had come out of a tin. It was placed on the bottom of the plate, under the nachos which is a new one to me. The cheese wasn 't melted, was just 'sweaty '. The ham egg and chips was awful, shell in the egg which was visible and completely careless, the chips had a spongey texture (maybe oil not hot enough? ...we waited for the meal check which never came so we left most of the food and was offered a refund when they came to clear the plate. Wouldn 't bother returning."

"I’ve been to this establishment twice now. I am new to the area and decided to search for a local Thai near me, I stumbled across The King Thai and I am glad with the decision I made. The service was very good, and the restaurant was immaculately clean. There is a good choice of local drinks on the menu as well as good food options not a huge amount on the menu however to my mind this is a good sign that everything is cooked fresh I must also add they do not cook with any MSG or preservatives. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone wether you are looking for a quick lunch or an evening meal. Will definitely be a regular customer here now. "This was simply one of the best culinary experiences I’ve had with my partner. The atmosphere was relaxed yet vibrant, with several large groups having a fantastic time. The waitstaff was incredibly friendly and efficient, which complemented what seemed to be a well-organized kitchen led by a talented chef who served up imaginative and delicious dishes right away. I enjoyed the smoked salmon parcel with crab meat, followed by a bone marrow jam with creamy mashed potatoes and Madeira sauce. For dessert, we shared a generous Baileys crème brûlée paired with ice cream. Everything was wonderful and a true delight to eat. We only wish we could stay in Plymouth long enough to dine here again, but we will definitely be back!"

"Mixed opinions on this place recently. I used to come when they first opened and it was my favourite place to eat which we did all the time. The service was extremely slow. It took 40 mins for drinks which came right before the meal. The portions are gigantic but the price matched the size so why not lower the price and reduce the portion? This place used to be cheap but now I might as well go to any Chinese or Thai restaurant. The food tastes amazing but................the pad Thai is NOT good. 3 people ordered it that love pad Thai but they said it tasted awful very very sweet and sugary unlike most pad Thais?! Other dishes were exceptional and very authentic. We went on a Saturday and it was SO LOUD. I couldn't hear my family talk. "Had to stay at the hotel, due to a canceled flight. Went to the bar for a quick beer so I thought but I encountered a decent offer of whisky behind the bar. So I started asking the bartender about it, and he just took me to the whisky cage, and my lord, what an amazing offer! Old bottlings, some collectibles, and great standard drama. Callum knows its whiskies and overall behaved like and world class Bartender. Always watching for me and making sure my glass was topped up, always giving great suggestions followed by a good chat and attention to detail, not just with me but with all guests in the room. Even when speeding, he made it look like he smooth service. Very much appreciated for his hospitality and the whole hotel staff in general. Highly recommend. Thank you Callum!"

"This is a great Thai restaurant, very authentic. Lovely staff too. Four of us went in at lunchtime, three ate off the lunch menu, two courses for just over a tenner. I had (main menu food) a satay chicken a chicken salad. Portions slightly larger from the main menu (eg two satay skewers versus four) but all excellent dishes, chicken salad was wonderful and plentiful. Quick service too. We saw two ladies come in at 12, order, eat, pay and left in 30 mins. Parking in pay and display just round the corner. Perhaps only negative was drinks are expensive, even soft drinks. But overall still very worthwhile visiting."
