A zesty mix of tender beef slices, fresh vegetables, herbs, and a tangy lime dressing.

"I visited for a Sunday evening dinner with my family to celebrate my husband's birthday. The sharing menu was fabulous, offering a wide variety of options. The staff were friendly and professional, making for a pleasant experience. It’s a beautiful place to visit with family, and the kids absolutely loved their Jumbo fish fingers! While it is slightly pricier than some places, the quality of the food makes it worth it. We will definitely return!"

"Visited DV8 for lunch on a busy Thursday, while staying with family in Sandbach. Honestly, I wasn't sure what to expect going in from the name I wasn't sure if it was a pub or a cafe or something else. But the service was excellent from the moment we walked through the door, and the food was excellent. My grilled chicken sandwich was excellent value, and my son's kid's meal was tasty and filling. Overall I'd definitely come back. If I was making one criticism, it would be nice to have a wider range of beers on offer. But then maybe cocktails are more their thing?"

"I had a great lunch today with my friend who lives nearby. The attentive waitress took care of us and described the menu options. We both had a Ciabatta sandwich and shared a side of chunky chips - which was enough for both of us. For dessert, we had the Apple and mixed berry crumble with custard, and it was delicious. We will definitely be coming back soon."

"So pleased we found this place on Google maps. Had lunch in the Sheep Shed which was cosy with a log burner in the corner. Delicious toasted sandwiches and coffee. Had to go to the outdoor space afterwards to see the beautiful views over the hills. Won’t take much persuading to come back and maybe try the pub next time."
"Kid-friendliness: They don't have a kid's menu, but they said they would cook smaller versions of the menu and sausage and chips. (I don't know what they put on those chips, but they are the best I've ever had) Price per person: £20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Royal Waffle, Chips"

"The food at this restaurant was delicious, but nothing extraordinary. It was expensive for what we received. The staff, in general, were not great, as one man was rude when I asked to change a chair with a sunken seat, and our waitress was not particularly friendly. I would not recommend this place. Overall ratings: Food 4, Service 2, Atmosphere 3. Service: Dine-in. Meal type: Dinner. Price per person: £20-30."

"I gave this 3 stars based on the lack of atmosphere and character it used to have. The food was excellent as always and we have been coming here for probably 20+ years. Big paper signs at back door by car park to use front door unless disabled, hence the majority of folk coming in front door and despite fire on it was baltic. Table service only so sorta missed the locals standing by the bar chatting .. felt like I was still in covid era, won't rush back."

"After two great dinners at this establishment, I feel confident about giving it the shining review it deserves. Friendly, professional and efficient staff; comfortable and spacious dining area there was really nothing not to like, including all our food selections: chicken liver parfait, fish and chips, Thai beef salad, cauliflower and avocado salad, chicken and beef burgers, creme brûlée and assorted ice creams.Give the current uncertainty of the Covid situation, I appreciated the decision of the management to protect their own staff and the customers (the assistant manager’s words, not mine) by continuing to wear face coverings, even though we were the only customers who seemed to show mutual respect by wearing them when moving around the restaurant. The rest of Cheltenham seems to have relegated masks to the dustbin.Anyhow, The Royal is a truly wonderful pub, so do try it!"

"Absolutely terrible service, didn’t even receive the food despite waiting an hour past the expected delivery time. Received a call from the delivery driver asking for directions to my property and it seemed like he didn’t even understand English, and asked me to come out onto the street to meet him despite telling him that I was immobile to to an injury. Driver left his mobile phone at the restaurant and had to use the mobile phone of a member of the public to call me. Tried to call the restaurant and couldn’t even get through to anybody so was left without food and the restaurant had already taken my money. Avoid this restaurant at all costs."

"Having dined at numerous establishments across London, I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious, fresh food and the friendly, attentive service at this restaurant. I didn’t expect such a high standard from a restaurant situated in a hotel in the Heathrow area. They also have a lovely bar."

"The breakfast at this guest house is delicious. Guests have the option of a full English breakfast in either regular or vegetarian, as well as continental options and eggs on toast with tea and coffee. There is also yogurt and cereal available for self-service. The breakfast was prepared by a gentleman whose name I did not catch, but both days we enjoyed the regular and vegetarian English breakfast with fried and poached eggs. The meal was very filling and tasty. Our stay at the guest house was very pleasant. The rooms are decent with rustic charm and spacious bathrooms. In the room, there are complimentary tea, coffee, and bottled water. We would happily stay here again if in the area. One thing to note is that the food may not always come out in a timely manner, which is why I am deducting one star. I must also mention how delicious their chips were - absolutely divine!"
