"Lovely venue. Great space for large family gatherings. Tasty food well presented. Reasonable price. Vegetables a bit sparse for some appetites and gravy with no offer of extra but plenty meat. Couple of our group were late so were bit late ordering so were asked to hurry due to other bookings which have we never experienced before. Be prepared to be timely. Table service was limited but good when food was delivered and plates cleared away. Bar bit on expensive side too. If you are looking for a country pub with good food in a nice surroundings and don't mind paying a bit extra, give it a try."

"Visited DV8 for lunch on a busy Thursday, while staying with family in Sandbach. Honestly, I wasn't sure what to expect going in from the name I wasn't sure if it was a pub or a cafe or something else. But the service was excellent from the moment we walked through the door, and the food was excellent. My grilled chicken sandwich was excellent value, and my son's kid's meal was tasty and filling. Overall I'd definitely come back. If I was making one criticism, it would be nice to have a wider range of beers on offer. But then maybe cocktails are more their thing?"

"Amazing. Service is just as lovely as the food. Would really recommend. We had the bread for starters (fresh warm focaccia with butter, roasted garlic and the best balsamic and oil I've ever had ha! We then had the fishcakes and prawn pad Thai (from the specials board again delicious! To finish, the hazelnut creme brulee and the Berry crumble No photos sorry but Will return when back in the area"

"Lovely hill-top pub with amazing beer garden views across the valley. There’s a massive car park and large beer garden surrounded by fields of sheep. The pub itself is quite small and booking is recommended if you intend to eat here as at gets very busy. It’s a popular place with cyclists. There’s a tea room outbuilding serving coffee and snacks."

"I rated this restaurant 3 stars due to the absence of the atmosphere and character it once had. The food was, as always, excellent, and we’ve been dining here for over 20 years. There were large paper signs at the back door by the parking lot instructing customers to use the front door unless they had a disability. As a result, most people entered through the front, and despite the fire inside, it was quite cold. The service was table-only, which made me miss the locals chatting at the bar; it felt like I was still in the COVID era. I won't be in a hurry to return."

"I dinned here yesterday with my husband and daughter, we had the table by the open street which was perfect to “watch the world go by” on such a beautiful sunny day. I must say the food was spectacular, in fact I had the best soup I’ve ever tasted. My daughter had the “lunch box” which was excellent value for money and my husband had the fish. Staff were friendly and attentive to our needs. So, an all round wonderful experience and one which we will be reliving very soon. Thanks for a lovely afternoon."

"My wife and I had a delightful stay on our way back from Cornwall. The room was impeccably organized and filled with thoughtful touches that demonstrated a genuine consideration for guest comfort. Dining in the restaurant was an exceptional experience, with high-quality food served by efficient and friendly staff. Breakfast was also excellent and very well presented. "What a gem of a place! Dora could not do enough for us and we even had a room upgrade (just because it was available). The room was fabulous. Spacious and airy with a comfy bed and lovely bathroom. We ate in the restaurant that evening and had a lovely meal. Breakfast the next morning was also really good. Fantastic, friendly service... we will definitely be back."

"This was my first visit to Bhan Thai. I picked it as it was a midway location for the two of us, so mindful that the location made it an ideal place to eat I would have been happy it the food had just been average, but it turned out to be the best Thai meal I've ever had!!! The restaurant itself is a casual setting (cafe style) but the food is absolutely superb! The staff were fabulous too, so friendly yet extremely professional and welcoming. I am already planning my next visit to Bhan Thai and can't wait to introduce more friends to the place"

"hallo people in chaos caffe, being my man, have visited chaos caffe in many, we both think it is a wonderful place to go. it is relaxing, friendly, amazing environment. we ordered the complete English breakfast, it was great, we also ordered the cream scones, all made fresh wow. "Pretty decent Thai food, can’t go too wrong with this place. As an Aussie I understand what proper or authentic Thai food is like. The food here is nice, I had a red curry and although it’s wasn’t really “traditional”, it was pretty yummy. My friend ordered a massaman curry which was also good. The staff are nice, the interior is very cosy and pretty clean. Probably the best Thai restaurant in Newbury and the general locale (west Berkshire), I would revisit."
