"6 weeks ago we gave this restaurant a 5+star rating. It was the best food we'd had in a Southampton restaurant. Fast forward to Father's Day and we could barely stand the hideous dishes put in front of us. We asked the waiter if the chef had changed but she was new so had no idea. The bad: The tempura prawns were poorly battered overcooked lumps of something, definitely not tempura. The noodle dish was tasteless and lacked ingredients, the rice dish was okay but lacked ingredients and had to be seasoned, the crispy beef was a lump of gooey mess on a plate and definitely not the superb crispy beef we'd been introduced to previously. The Spring Rolls were undercooked doughy chews with a hint of veg inside and a revolting dipping sauce that probably should've been cooked and none of us could stand. DimT have you actually tasted that sauce? The good: 2 of the 3 dim sum dishes were tasty. But you can't really mess up a steamed dim sum then. The staff are always great! If you going to pay higher than normal prices in a restaurant, then the food has to be good. Would we go back to DimT? Not in a hurry and if we did, we'd refuse any dish that comes out inedible again. This is necessary to teach the cooks (can't call them chefs in this instance), what is acceptable and what isn't. We may go back because we know DimT has a formidable award winning chef hidden in the cupboard somewhere and we'd really like to taste their food again. One last chance one day, maybe."

"I wanted to try out things before, and the last one was done at night. I was thrilled to discover, they offer a fully dedicated vegetarian menu and even more impressed when I discovered a few vegan options as well as listed. the restaurant itself is charming, cozy, quirky and welcoming with beautiful art hanging on sunny yellow walls, wooden floors, warm lighting and an open kitchen, so that they see the chefs their magie. it has a relaxed atmosphere, but also feels like a special, luxurious place to dinate. the two men who served us were friendly, helpful and chatting without being intrusive, I would rate the service as the best I experienced in any restaurant. I ordered a starter of spageltempura with asian salate, fresh and tangy, mainly from sweet potatoes and cherry fried fritters on a delicious mild creamy spinat curry and a luscious melt in the middle chocolate pudding with fresh earthberries, celestial and cream for dessert. my dinning partners shared a starter of the brote with tapenade that I tried and would highly recommend for the fresh taste and exceptionally generous portion literally a huge basket of individual baked broth. the food was from this world in terms of quality and taste. it was completely unimaginable. in my party of four people, each of us thought that it was the best that we cost in a very long time. we enjoyed our culinary experience in ginger bistro so much that we already plan a return trip. if they hadn't been, I would recommend you try it, as a meal here is an exceptionally pleasant evening. so a restaurant goer bistro should be perfect in every sight. I would give him 5 stars on happy cow if I could. updated by previous review on Wednesday, 14 October 2015"

"Bland food and very overpriced, ribs ok, squid was flubbery but fresh, the tacos with salmon mix and mayo were grim only eatable after adding chilli sauce too, and two for 11 quid was a joke. Sake OK and had a beer. , 65 quid for one, is not good, won't return. If you think One bottle 70cl of Sake for 18 x 4 is fair! Come on 72 quid... , indicative of food price... ! I went to you twice, as I was hungry..., re. the Chinese next door they may have been ok, but after finishing one pint and there not being internet, I asked them for your password, I needed to go. I also asked if they had started to cook my food at which point they said no. I paid them for beer and said, I would return. The fact, there did not seem to be much cooking going on was a red flag to me and I did not have time. Your concept is ok, but a bit of drift wood in comparison to London and it's my fault to draw comparisons, and I did give it a second chance but simply put it's not very good. Seems you have a bee in your bonnet, re. Chinese food and cutting and pasting recurring theme, Only just started reviewing items. Please don't make comparison between a Chinese directly next to your abode that may be ok, and fact you are trying the London street food tribe here in Blackpool, which I wish you luck with, but having seen it and spending money with you on separate occasions please have the grace to say thank you and good bye. Else to many perhaps you may look a bit tribal and bitter. Good luck."
