"The menu was imaginative and intriguing, offering unique dishes alongside classic favorites like roast beef and fish and chips. Our food was served promptly and efficiently, with a touch of lightness that was refreshing. The quality of the food was outstanding—super fresh fish encased in crispy, golden batter, creamy mushy peas, and lovely hand-cut chips. The flatbreads and baked Camembert with halloumi were also superb. Best of all, the prices were very reasonable! We will definitely return the next time we pass through, and if you live nearby, you should definitely pay them a visit!"

I had an excellent Sunday lunch at this charming dog-friendly pub. The staff were attentive and even offered me a Yorkshire pudding after inquiring about my dietary preferences, which I thought was a nice gesture. The service was great, and the atmosphere was lovely.

Incredible experience yet again.From our first encounter on arrival to a lovely helpful goodbye (we asked for some local Knowledge for a walk)The staff are wonderful and cannot do enough for you and the food speaks for itself!It’s not often you look at a menu and see over 5 things that you would choose to eat! So much choice and the standard is up there with the best.

We enjoyed a complete Sunday lunch with four adults and a toddler. We dined indoors, which offered a lovely atmosphere, but there was also plenty of outdoor seating available. A DJ was playing music sets, adding to the vibrant ambiance. Outside, they served delicious pizza and burgers. The service team was fantastic, and there was a wide variety of drinks to choose from.

THE HALFWAY INN IS BACK OPEN!! And what a fantastic experience it was. We visited for a Good Friday lunch and were thoroughly impressed. Most of us opted for the half-lobster, tempura prawns, salad, and chips, all for just £18! Amazing value! I chose the butterflied chicken breast, which was also delicious. The service, provided by Richard and his team, was impeccable. The Halfway Inn has truly returned!

I had been looking forward to enjoying a Sunday roast at the Half Way, as it came highly recommended by family. We arrived for our mid-afternoon reservation on a warm day. The Sunday roast was served quickly, but we were let down; there were no roast potatoes! Instead, we received a plate of cabbage and a few root vegetables, which was not what we had anticipated. On the bright side, the beef was tender and the gravy was delicious.
