"What a Gem of a find !!! Best Sunday lunch we have had in a long time Amazing friendly staff with a genuine warm welcome , we unfortunately arrived late for our table which didn’t pose a problem on what was clearly a busy day . The smoked trout starter was to die for !! Roast loin of pork and crackling delicious and rare roast beef unbelievable all with piping hot gravy what more could you ask for ? Well a sublime red wine in the form of a Rioja recommended by our host Nick) didn’t disappoint in fact exceeded all expectations . We had our cockerpoo with us who was welcomed with biscuits water and her own bed !!! A beautiful establishment with dedicated Hosts Nick and Jo if your in the area I would definitely recommend"

The lunch was excellent really well cooked food. Easy parking and plenty of room, however, the table was tight for 4 highchair. The service was efficient but not welcoming a little blunt and directive.

It was wonderful to return after a couple of cancellations due to Covid. The warm welcome, friendly staff, and beautiful food served promptly made for a fantastic experience. I will definitely be back!

Excellent service- everyone was lovely and welcoming. Charlotte is hilarious and should have her own comedy show. Mains were delicious as was the wine. Deserts could have been better. Cheesecake was dry and pannocotta hard but we still had a lovely time. View menu

I had an excellent Sunday lunch at this charming dog-friendly pub. The staff were attentive and even offered me a Yorkshire pudding after inquiring about my dietary preferences, which I thought was a nice gesture. The service was great, and the atmosphere was lovely.

It was surprisingly busy for a Thursday night, which was a good sign. I tried the tofu and harissa salad as well as the red Thai tofu curry, both of which were tasty, though a bit sweeter than I prefer. The service was excellent. Earlier that afternoon, I had asked if the monkfish would be on the specials menu, but when I inquired at the table, I was met with confusion. Fortunately, they had received a delivery that day and were happy to prepare a monkfish dish for my wife. I will likely return again.
