"This was my first time visiting this restaurant with my partner, and I must say it was really good. We received a warm welcome upon entering the restaurant, and we initially thought the person greeting us was the owner. The portion sizes were generous and we didn't have to wait long for our food, even though we arrived at 6 pm. The restaurant is spacious and we felt a bit lost until more customers arrived. The appetizers were delicious, flavorful, and larger than expected. The main course was also full of flavor and served hot. The house wines, a white and a red, were good. The prices were reasonable, although it took a bit long to receive our bill. The only downside was when my wife found a hair in her appetizer. The owner tried to explain by saying, "we don't have any female staff working tonight." Considering the color of my wife's hair and mine, it could have very well been ours from 30 years ago. Despite this incident, we would consider returning to this restaurant in the future."

"Went here on a group curry night and had such a great evening. I had booked online and got a courtesy call 2 days before to check all is good. When we arrived there was friendly staff who greeted us and showed us to our table where our drinks order was taken and was informed of 2 for 1 on cocktails till 19:30 which we took advantage of. The venue looks very authentic and you can see the chefs preparing the food. The food came out in good time despite it being very busy on our visit and came in good portion sizes. The food was so tasty and flavoursome and had the right amount of spice and not overdone on the chilli's. I would recommend booking for a Saturday night as was near capacity, but staff cope effortlessly and food was coming out in good time............I would definitely return here again."

"Can't believe it has been nearly years since our last visit. Restaurant opened again weeks ago after major refurbishment. You would not recognise the place. Gorgeous and total new layout. Staff were amazing and so friendly. Food was out of this world. Staff guided us on what to order and was not disappointed. Starters and main were equally as good. Made a promise to have something different on each visit. Will be back soon as we were always regular customers proir to the closure and covid.We wish the new owners all the very best with their new restaurant."

"The food at this restaurant is delicious, but their non-delivery service is a major let down. We waited 50 minutes for our delivery this time, and had a similar experience in the past when a 30 minute order took over an hour. The website said it would be 45 minutes this time, but when we called to inquire about the delay, we were told the driver was 'on his way'. When we asked how much longer it would be, we were told it would be another 20-30 minutes. This would have made it a total of 70-80 minutes from the time of ordering. When we tried to clarify how it could be both 'on his way' and '20-30 minutes more', we were met with silence and no attempt to resolve the issue. We decided to cancel the order, and were thankful that we had chosen to pay with cash on delivery, as it gave us that option. We will not be giving this restaurant a third chance, that is for sure."

"I arranged a meeting and decided to go to a competitor's Indian restaurant, but it was a bit challenging and some of the staff were not very friendly. A friend recommended this place to me, and I was pleasantly surprised by the interior. The menu offered a good selection of dishes for both meat-eaters and vegetarians. The portions were quite generous, and in hindsight, I probably should have ordered a smaller mixed grill, but it was Christmas after all. The Indian mixed grill we ordered was excellent and arrived at our table sizzling hot, creating quite a bit of smoke. The portion size was large, with enough food to comfortably feed 4 people with the included naans. The value for money was fantastic. I also tried the lamb saag, which was tender and flavorful. The sauces and dips were served in a nice presentation, rather than being in large squeeze bottles like some other places. They provided paper napkins, not cheap kitchen roll, and offered a take-home option for leftovers. The staff was very friendly, and I look forward to visiting again in the future."

"We stumbled on this restaurant after a long hike. There isn’t any parking at the restaurant but we were advised to park in the pets world retail park and it was a 5 mins walk to the restaurant. Decor is simple nothing fancy. Staff were very friendly, attentive and social which makes a huge difference to the experience. Food was surprisingly good. We ordered channa puri and mixed grill for starters. For mains we had chicken jalfrezi, tandoori prawn masala with rice and naan. Lastly for dessert we had cardamom tea and kulfi ice cream. Our favourite was the channa puri, jalfrezi and the naan which was freshly made. The kulfi ice cream was a nice finish to the meal. The other dishes were okay but nothing really to write home about and we may be a little tougher considering this is our home food. We have made allowances for the fact the restaurant needs to cater for its locals such as sweetening up some of the dishes with cream and coconut. They also made space for my husband to pray which was a bonus. Unfortunately they do not take American Express but took debit card payments. Overall we enjoyed our time here and would come again."

"Lovely service and food. I think many people forget that different Indian restaurant/takeaways cook food differently and that’s why not all curries or meals tasted the same as others. "This restaurant is truly underrated. The staff is outstanding and very friendly. The constant flow of young adults coming in and out hints at the delicious food being served. Despite the lack of customers dining in, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal each time I visited and always ended up with a large takeout container to bring home. Some of the curry dishes even taste better the next morning for breakfast. It's a bring your own (alcohol) and bring your own (cash) establishment, as they do not have a card machine. While there may be some questionable practices with their books, the food coming out of the kitchen is nothing short of delicious."

"We came as 4 adults and 3 kids. Each one of us loved our dinner experience here. One of the kids said it was very clean and the food were nice. The other kid said that she loved the heart shaped fruits. My 3 yr old said he loved everything. The adults were all stuffed. We all loved it. The best to say is they have the best service staff here, friendly, welcoming, and made sure all of us are having a good time. Thank you everyone. "Passing by noticed that they were offering unlimited roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings and gravy with the roast dinners and seeing as I was hungry I thought I’d pop in for a roast and a pint. Service was swift and the girl behind the bar was very friendly. Ordered a turkey roast and I was not disappointed. Had a few of the unlimited Yorkies and potatoes after as per the sign on the window and there was no moaning/grumbling like some places tend to do. "I always noticed the wonderful smell coming from this place when I walked by, so I finally decided to try it out over the weekend. The man behind the counter was very friendly and helpful, explaining the spiciness levels of the curries and offering to adjust them to our preferences. The food we ordered was delicious, the quality was great for the price, and we didn't have to wait too long for it. I would definitely order from here again. Another great thing is that the menu offers the option to make any dish vegetarian or vegan, which is a big bonus for those who require it."

"Let me tell you, this is a little hidden gem, who would have thought Whitley, Northumberland Avenue could have one! It's a little rundown shopping mall and 1st appearance isn't great. Then you spot the outside planters,inside it's warm, friendly with attentive staff, also loved the feature wall with changing light's. Came here 4 my son's 18th, family party of 8, food was exceptional and they went the extra mile. Will I be coming back again? Damn right!"
