I wanted to celebrate my day yesterday, so the contract was on my mother. sabrina also gave me free chai. I ordered two more parathas, but when I had started eating, respected me sabrina and came to my table and told me not to stand up as I had eaten, so paid. shocking with the negative reviews! also thanks to theny, who gave me sabrinas names that had gone home"

"excellent dining experience” 5 out of 5 stars rated on 15 november 2013 new although it is ideal for a pre-theater menu when they visit the hippodrome, eating in milano is worthy to take over the time because it is very good in the did. the menu offers a great choice regarding the price including a fixed tariff pre-theatre that my partner enjoyed very much. as glutton I could not resist the daily special of lobster linguine and I cannot resist that milano was from a generous amount and high quality; both courses were delicious. the tables are beautifully designed and the service is friendly and attentive. I have absolutely no criticism to make (I didn't like the desserts, but I don't like Italian desserts and can hardly blame them for being authentic! . as a pre-oper menu (especially if the opera is Italian! "Following a long journey to Stoke by Nayland, we found this quaint pub in the village and decided to go for lunch here. This country pub features everything you could want with a log fire near the entrance, a nice bar with plenty of variety and it has its own wine “cellar” type room! My partner and I decided to grab a bite to eat, ordering the flat ironed steak, accompanied with steak cut chips, garlic mushrooms and a garlic sauce, and I ordered the steak and mushroom pie, accompanied with freshly steamed veg and a dollop of mash. Both plates arrived promptly and the food on both plates was superb, tasted fresh and locally sourced. The added bonus was the chef singing I’m a believer in the background, not the best version I’ve heard but none the less a valiant attempt and great to hear the staff in good spirits during the current situation. Overall my partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and the atmosphere in the pub, we’d definitely recommend and we may pop in before we leave!"

"Was the second time I had eaten here but had a lovely Sunday meal here last Sunday courtesy of Flatmate. Butcher and Grill (situated on the formersite of Cafe Rouge) occupies a great, imposing site. The Butchers shop welcomes you as you walk in- to the right a lovely array of meat and to the left a delicatessen/grocers selling a selection of organic produce. The split-level open plan restaurant is to the back. A heavily stocked bar located to the left, high ceilings and exposed brick work give the place a sophisticated yet homely feel. Flatmate and I, starving as ever, eyed the menu and decided to forgo the starters (pretty unexciting) and dive into the mains to stop ourselves drooling onto the table. We excitedly ordered plates of the rib eye steak. Sides as do the sauces, come separately so we ordered some green beans, mash, dauphinoise potatoes, mushrooms and green peppercorn and red wine sauces.Before I was about to chew Flatmates arm off it all came thick and fast and we were very excited. Meat looked good, potatoes looked good. Veg looked ok but mushrooms a side does not make. HmmmmAmyway, it was great. We loved the organic rib eye fantastic and flavoursome though a touch overdone. Nevermind we said, we were too hungry to care and i was upset when the last mouthful had gone. Flatmate pushed the boat out and ordered us puddings cheesecake and an apple thingy. In preparation, we had to unbutton the top of our jeans to make room. Can't remember but i think they were nice the steak just keeps coming back to me steak cheesecake? steak apple thingy? Not sure how much it all came up to as lovely Flatmate paid (thanks Nic). But it was a great hearty, winters meal perfect for a cold Sunday afternoon. P.S. The first time I came here I came with my Dad who wanted to order off the menu so we wandered down to the Butchers and he got the Butcher to cut him a hefty slab of rib eye must have weighed about a pound! Seriously my dad was eating long after mum and I had finished but he eventually did I was so proud and he was happily full!"

"Called in after a very busy day around the shops. Very warm welcome and they cleared a table for us within a couple of minutes as we hadn't booked in advance. We were just at the right time to order a cream tea which was delicious. Beautifully served in silver tea set. Fresh scones with jam and cream. If you are visiting it is definitely worth booking in advance as it was quite busy. Good toilets. Very welcoming and attentive staff . The lunch menu looked very good as did the ala carte menu."

"great meal, great atmosphere! we have always liked to eat here, but the quality of food has really increased in the last few months. really interesting dishes and a pudding menu that is so much more available than the predictable array served anywhere else. also dishes were very beautifully presented. I had the red lenses curry and despite a lifetime dislike to lenses, was glad that I took the chance. the pakoras were amazing- aromatic and perfectly fried. the fish and chips with thin frits were up there with the best we had. the microgreens were a nice note and the muddy heaps were always good. the torte was delicious and homemade with a wonderful crispy shortcrust top. we were pampered for the choice with puddings. the brûlée was smooth and creamy with a perfect crispy top and it was nice to have a tasteful (white chic and passion fruit) if so many restaurants are simply simple. the Pistachio nodes were great! service was friendly and efficient and there was a cozy, cheerful atmosphere. we loved the halloween decorations. they are brilliant! the outside area also looks really good. so pleased that the place is so good and we look forward to our next visit."

"our first stay in the village hotel was brilliant. we have a lot, so the stay was very cheap. room was very clean, could have been done with a mini fridge, but it is not a big thing. we really enjoyed it with the pool steam bath. brilliant with a star-corner in the space that was handy for a morning coffee. the only thing I would mention is the noise of the gym tomorrow is quite loud, we were in the 3rd floor, and we were awakened by loud music at 8 o'clock, so did not get the sleep we hoped we had. dining room service was nice, but only a little expensive. great hotel, anyway, and would certainly return."

"Nice restaurant. Way overpriced. 10.90 for an Irish Coffee. 7 Euro in the skylon. 10.90 for a dessert, 8 euro in the skylon. 6.90 for a bottle of moretti. Would definitely have gone again but the exorbitant charges has unfortunately deterred me from doing so. Waiter at 1020pm went way overboard trying to get us and other diners to leave."

"it was easy to book a table in the swan and the menu offered a suitable choice of Sunday dinners and other dishes. it was disappointing that food allergies and intolerances are not listed on the menu and no vegan options were shown. when I asked, I got a plastic folder with a vegan menu with limited choices. not really what I would expect from a restaurant of this kaliber. the food was very good and the service was also good. Unfortunately, our table was right next to two sleeping machines that ran at full explosion, making the conversation more difficult. the couple behind us heard us complain and told us that they had already complained and no acts were taken. the machines were switched off for a short time, but were switched on again. alone from this reason, although eating and service were good, I would like to come back unless I could be guaranteed a quieter table."

"I have ordered food from here while at work on a Monday to Friday and food is delivered promptly with no problems. However, delivery times for a Saturday is an absolute joke. I ordered a breakfast at 12:26 PM on Saturday via Just Eat, after waiting an hour and 20 minutes I phoned them to find out where the delivery was and I was told that I was next on the list so I asked them to cancel it because it would be at least another half an hour before it arrive making a grand total of 2 hours wait. At 2:50 PM I received a telephone call to say my delivery was at the door for me, by then I had made myself something to eat, eaten it and washed it up! DO NOT ORDER FOOD ON A SATURDAY UNLESS YOU ARE PREPARED TO WAIT A LONG"

"The outdoor terrace seating at this restaurant is nice and elegant, but I don't plan on returning. I found the restaurant host to be very rude as they initially refused to seat us outside or inside the restaurant despite it being only 10% occupied. After some arguing, they finally gave us a table outside with a very unpleasant attitude. The waiter, on the other hand, was friendly and helpful. The appetizers we ordered (Tomato soup, carpaccio, and salad) were all good. However, the main dishes (Risotto, tomato pasta, and lobster linguine) were served cold and would have been better if they were warm. We chose not to complain because we just wanted to finish our meal and leave. Overall, this experience left us feeling disappointed and unsure of the reason for the poor service, but it came off as snobbish and rude."

"Recently had a toasted teacake at the patisserie in Anchorside, which, even toasted, as so stale, vowed never to use again. But I have given them another try, this time ordering a Danish pastry with a custard centre. Oh dear, it as so stale the fork provided would not cut through. A miserable young lady did give me my money back but did not I ckude an apology. The coffee was also luke warm. So, stale fare not a one off. Will not, NOT, give them a third chance. Disappointed"

"We placed our order shortly after we arrived at the restaurant. It was quite busy, but despite the crowds, the staff were very cheerful and welcoming. The food was tasty - we enjoyed the full English breakfast and the ham and cheese toastie. The weather was beautiful, so we decided to sit outside, which was lovely. The coffee was also delicious; we are coffee lovers and were pleased with the quality here. We want to give a special shoutout to Barbara, our server, who brought our daughter a coloring book and was sweet to her throughout our meal. She was a very kind lady."
