"Finding good restaurants can be a challenge, but finding a great one to celebrate at is even harder. I stumbled upon one of the top restaurants in Edinburgh and was not disappointed! The portions were generous, the prices were affordable, and they even had charging ports which are a must-have nowadays. I would have given them 5 stars, but some of the servers were not very nice or attentive. However, I was lucky enough to be served by a very friendly gentleman who went above and beyond for me and the other customers. Overall, I highly recommend Scran and give them a 4 out of 5."

"the service and eating were restless. I sat myself and a hospitable, but it took twenty minutes to take our order for everyone. it then arrived another twenty-five minutes before our drinks; it was just two beers, so no complicated order. our meals (no appetizers were ordered) arrived an hour and ten minutes after sitting. my order, a relatiw simple order of chicken milanese was not hot, in which did hardly warm, although my guests meal was delivered hot. the only positive is that the 'side' of focaccia brot was good. in the fact our 'alone tabletime' of ninety minutes would not have been enough to eat our one cure! I could not recommend in any wise carluccio 's in leeds trinity, it was shockingly bad; eating somewhere else would be my advice."

"Beautiful location with a view of Old Trafford, the menu looks good at first glance. The service is very poor considering how under staffed the cafà is I guess that can be expected. The food we had was pretty awful, maybe we just had poor luck. Chicken Wings Starter- Completely raw chicken under breadcrumb coating Burgers ordered- This was average but we had no appetite after the raw starter this may have clouded our palettes on the main course Drinks- Cocktails are creative and tasty so are the milkshakes"

"My girlfriend and I ordered from Il Principe online via Uber Eats and we were very disappointed by the entire experience. Firstly, the food arrived about 20 minutes late, after over an hour’s wait on the app. Then, when opened, we were at first negatively surprised by the aspect of the food, and then by the fact that it was cold. I ordered a pizza which was soaked in oil, and which seamed to have been made in disgust by the cook, with all the ingredients randomly thrown around the pie. La piece du resistance, a ball of burrata cheese, was literally thrown in the middle of the pizza, and left there to be half melted and half cooked. My girlfriend ordered fries, which arrived cold, and calamari, which were fried but all the breading that was supposed to be on them was inexistent. For sauces, they threw in the bag some fastfood sauces not what you would expect for a 20£/person meal! For desert, we had tiramisu, which, when opened after a 30 minute meal, was still frozen, and a canola siciliano, which was tasteless. I am writing this review after about 20 minutes from finishing the meal, and both my girlfriend and I are feeling quite sick in our stomachs, with me having quite bad cramps. I chose this restaurant based on its good reviews, so I am highly disappointed and recommend that everybody best avoids it."

"Fantastic ..... I took my husband for his birthday. It was our first time there. We were welcomed by all. Family run, so everyone is really friendly. Food was great. Fantastic valve. Plenty of meat going around. So much so we couldn’t eat another thing we were too full. The hot buffet was great, not over faced with food that been sat around too long. Regularly changed and topped up. Would recommend and will be back again soon."

"big fan as in the regular constant food quality, but this weekend it was bad. gloopy tasteless sauce on the chicken salt imbocca. although carluccios not alone in this it is painfully obvious to reduce the portion size while increasing the cost. the inflation pressures are understood, but a double whammy makes a negative food experience."

"The staff in this restaurant are outstanding. They always go above and beyond without being intrusive. Even the guy who brings out the food from the kitchen stood in a very professional way with one arm behind his back and the other balancing the tray of food but he still managed to greet and acknowledge us when we came in and left. My elderly husband tends to mumble, so through no fault of their own they have him the wrong dessert. Everyone was so apologetic and offered us free coffee which we declined so they gave us two free kir royals instead which was most welcome. Excellent training- the staff here could certainly teach other establishments a thing or two about catering, as the food is delicious and well presented, and how to treat customers."

"Two of us arrived and were greeted decently. However, we were seated at an extremely small table that clearly wouldn’t have held all the plates we ordered (see photo). I had to request to move to a lounge table, which, when we got there, was still dirty. We waited around 5 minutes before someone came to clean it. On the positive side, the food arrived fairly quickly, and the staff were polite and well-mannered throughout. Unfortunately, the food itself was underwhelming. The falafels were bland and lacked any real flavour. The £9 tempura was especially disappointing—at that price, you expect something memorable, but it fell flat. The only thing I genuinely enjoyed were the tater tots... which says a lot, considering they were just a side dish. I paid £67.50 in total (including a £7.50 service charge, which I still felt the staff deserved), but I left feeling completely let down by the food and experience. Sadly, I won’t be returning. "Myself and my 85 year old gran arrived today at 11.50 and wandered passed here we liked the look of the food and decided to go in, the doors were open and the staff were setting tables. We were met with a frosty reception and...told to wait outside until 12 as they don’t open until then. So we waited outside until 12 by which point my husband and mother had joined us. We were not invited in out of the rain my husband had to go and ask to see if we could go in at 12 and we were met with a frosty reception. The whole experience put me off but the food is amazing it’s such a shame! We have just opened a little kindness and empathy and individuality to deal with situations would be fantastic. We would of happily sat in the warm out of the rain and waited until 12 to order. Food suggestions meatballs on the starters menu, lemoncello meringue cake for pudding!"

"we had dinner in the restaurant corner room and we chose 5 courses tasting menu, which was very disappointing. Portions are very small, even worth £39. croquettes were a pub style two little bites without garnish. prawns risotto was a sweat introduce table spoon risotto and 4 additional small sarmp on top. lamb came as two small pieces with aubergine pure and raw radishes. taste was bitter and tasteless. mandel gazpacho suppe was fabulous and in portions was good. custard with plums and crumbling was ok, but not my cup tee."

"This was not our first visit,we went on a Saturday night, there was live music and after us became very busy. The music level was a bit too loud. We ordered our food, unfortunately the lamb shank was off the menu, so chose an alternative, my husband’s arrived but mine after he had nearly finished and I had finally caught the waitresses eye! When she arrived with it, she said it was very busy but would remove the side salads from the bill. So my true reply would yes/no to recommend as would think twice about rebooking"

"Albion’s has become our family’s go to restaurant of choice for breakfast, brunch and family dinners. We are always greeted warmly and tables arranged to suit that day’s requirements. It is particularly nice to be able to sit in the back garden area when the weather permits. We have been up and down the various menus and have found the standard of both ingredients and cooking very high. Our grandchildren especially enjoy the deep fried (real) fish fingers and the mussels, whilst the rest of us have enjoyed almost everything else, with the chicken salad and the butternut squash risotto being worthy of a special mention. The desserts, particularly the Eton Mess, are so good that they are selected even when not needed for nutritional purposes. We enjoy a range of drinks, without yet having really got to grips with the wine list, although their Malbec is very “slippery”! Overall I highly recommend it for family dining."

"Well the hotel looks fine from the outside and as for the inside well the restaurant/bar area looked great, they mentioned a function room but i never went there so dont know what it was honestly. There isnt much facilities there and as for going through the corridor its got decent design up until i went to the room i was staying as the heat over there not just in the hallway where my room was at but my room itself was so hot and all i was left with was a small fan that didnt blow that much wind, was pretty weak. I did find out that i was able to open the window as that got me kind of confused. My room was pretty basic and small, not much for design but the bathroom looked good"

"It was great to see Eluert W recognize us after such a long time. He made us feel welcome and provided excellent service. We had a wonderful meal, reminiscent of Carluccio’s. It was also a nice touch that we could take advantage of the 50% discount currently offered to loyal customers. We enjoyed the chicken saltimbocca, beef ragu pappardelle, and limoncello tart."

"today's contribution is a mini review of ply in the northern quarter. I say “mini” as I went with a rather distracting couple of ladies and we spent the evening gassing instead of catching away as I usually do!. ply is a huge place at the corner of the stephenson square with the lever street, brought by the young, the cosmonaut to the northern quarter. it is a quirky place, part eating, part creative space. there is a book exchange, doodle wall and monthly exhibitions. the room is huge; a typical, old industrial room with stands and sofas. the size makes it perfect for large groups, as they would not dominate the room. everyone else thinks...read more"

"To manage one 's expectations, I would describe Robata as Japanese inspired rather than authentic Japanese food. To summarise, the service was good and the food was okay. Here are the pros and cons: Pros The waiting staff was attentive and gracious, even though 2 of our guests were VERY late. I really commend them for their patience. Service was fast. The waiting staff was well versed in allergens and there were plenty of dairy free and gluten free options The interior was quirky and reminded me of Japanese manga meets art nouveau which I liked very much! The general ambience and music were upbeat I can imagine Robata being a good option for pre going out dinner with friends or a casual first date, but some may find it a bit loud for intimate dinners The sake mojito was delicious! Cons The traditional Japanese menu items including sushi rolls and sashimi did not perform strongly. The robatayaki skewer items (Robata 's name sake) were better, but unfortunately did not steal my heart I felt the flavours and seasoning were too strong for my palate and this genre of food Neutral Observations The menu was eclectic with a mixture of Japanese (sushi, robatayaki) Korean (kimchi rice), Peruvian (ceviche) and other foods (I 'm not sure where tartare originates). There were some open 'bao ' options, which were some Asian inspired hot fillings wrapped in a flat piece of steamed bun. Personally, I 'm not a fan but I 've encountered this in a few restaurants in London so this seems to be a popular concept in recent times. Who knows? "

"We visited here for a family dinner on my daughters recommendation, service was good food was served fairly quickly although it was not served together as requested. Food was tasty, good home comforting food. Quite noisy but obviously that depends on who else is dining at the same time. My starter of paprika chicken pancake was tasty but only warm rather than hot but maybe it's meant to be. Overall it was good but quite expensive for what it was."

"We were a party of four, our first visit to the restaurant. The staff were very nice and the restaurant it’s self was very nice. However we was very disappointed with the main meal. We had the chargrilled chicken, it was so dry and hard at the bottom that we could not even cut through it, the salad that came with it was soggy. We didn’t bother with the dessert as we were rather disappointed."
