"The table, service and food were all fantastic. We were in a rush so just ordered mains. I had the hanger steak and it was amazing. The flavour was incredible. My partner had the rump steak and a side of potatoes. The steak was melt in the mouth and a decent sized side. Would definitely recommend."

"I was excited to visit this restaurant, as I had a great experience at the Covent Garden location a few years ago. However, I was taken aback by the £100 set menu on a Friday night, as I had assumed we would have options from the a la carte menu. The waitress was accommodating, but we decided to go for the £100 menu thinking we would get something special. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the food and found it underwhelming. The bream starter was delicious, as was the monkfish, but overall we felt the meal was overpriced for a Friday evening. The ambiance was lovely and our waitress provided attentive service. Perhaps the restaurant offers better value during the week or for lunch."

"This visit has not been up to scratch. The food was almost as good as usual. Almost. However the atmosphere created by the boxes in front of the counter and some kind of chaos created by different things scattered, it was not what you would expect to see from Macellaio. There was also an alarm or something loudly beeping every few minutes. All together it did not give a relaxing atmosphere int he restaurant. We will probably wait few months before coming back"

"This restaurant is easy to find and features a beautiful, bright, and spacious dining area with plenty of seating. The main entrance has a small flight of three stairs, which may be difficult for wheelchair access. There could be an alternative entrance for accessibility, but we did not inquire. Despite being located on a busy street, the restaurant was not noisy and there was no background music playing. The staff were all very helpful and friendly throughout our meal, without being intrusive. The menu offered a great selection of dishes, including many gluten-free and dairy-free options. The food arrived promptly after ordering and the portions were generous. Everything we tried was delicious, though the prices may be slightly higher than average. Overall, we had a pleasant dining experience and would happily return."

"I had a confirmed reservation, but when I arrived, I was informed that the restaurant was closed due to the absence of a cook. I understand that unforeseen circumstances can occur and it's not necessarily the restaurant's fault. However, it was frustrating that they didn't reach out to inform me about the cancellation of my booking. I made a special trip to dine there, which ended up being a waste of both time and money. To make matters worse, it was pouring rain, making it quite challenging to find an alternative restaurant at the last minute!"

"We booked a table for valentines day and on arrival we were greeted nicely and shown the valentines specials and to our table. It is a small place but was very busy, a great atmosphere. We were given menus and a dishes deal for menu, so we went for that as there was good selection. The food was delicious, the wine was easy drinking, and the service was top notch. When we got the bill the deal was not added as a reduction as expected, and when asked about it the server said that menu was a lunchtime menu. Fair enough, it was written in small print on the menu so we paid full price for each dish. I'd still say it was worth the money, and I suppose it was our mistake for not reading the menus with more detail. However why would you give dinner customers a lunch menu if it was not on offer. We felt a bit swindled but hey, it was still worth it and everything was great! We will be coming here again!"

"This restaurant is a hidden gem. My friend and I stopped by after a 4-day wild camping trip in the woods, and despite our disheveled appearance, we were warmly welcomed. Although the kitchen was closed, we were directed to the Abergavenny Arms and received excellent service from the lady at the bar. "This place feels more like a nightclub after hours with dining rather than a traditional restaurant, as evidenced by the disco ball, glitter decorations, and loud music. It's an okay spot if you're looking for a fun night out and are on the younger side. However, most of the long benches were quite uncomfortable, and we were lucky to be seated at one of the few tables with actual chairs. "Surprised to find this restaurant merged with Red Dog Saloon, which I think deflated the experience a lot. It was hard to distinguish both restaurants apart. Service was extremely slow, the first waitress to seat us was very attentive, the other not so much barely spoke to us even though we were the second table in. We ordered katti rolls; lamb meat, fries, salads sauces were spot on, very flavoursome but the wrap itself was completely inedible, so we only ate the contents of the roll. It was extremely tough very oily, more of a puri than a roll wrong choice of bread in my opinion!Chicken wings were just completely soaked in oil again, after eating we had to stop as it was unpleasant. Also, the strange mixtureflavour of butter got quite sickly after a couple. Again, not sure of this creation.. The mommo’s were lacking taste in general. The pau bhaji was pleasant but lacked salt generally a punch of flavour. Served with ONE brioche bun about kilos of the actual veg mix? Not very traditional or practical. Again, wrong choice of bread in my opinion. I think the masala fries were the highlight of our lunch, which doesn’t really count for much to be honest, as it’s supposed to be an Indian bbq restaurant. Given that the restaurant was completely empty for at least minutes from when my group of sat down, I expected a lot better quality from the food. Won’t be willingly dining here again in the future"

"I rated the service 2 stars because the waitress dropped off our food without telling us what it was. When we tried to get her attention to ask, she didn't even look at us as she walked away. We had to guess who should eat what, and when we asked another waitress for clarification, she informed us that it wasn’t safe to eat. We understand it was a busy night, but when I requested more sauce, I assumed it would be brought out with my meal. I asked two other waitstaff, and it never arrived. One person in our party ordered two mosquito tails, but they never came. When he inquired with another waitress, she said they were out and offered him a Coke instead. It feels like if we hadn’t asked someone else, he might have been charged for a dish he never received, or at the very least, we wouldn’t have been informed that it was unavailable. Despite the service issues, the food itself was quite enjoyable."

"From the moment we arrived, our experience at this restaurant was delightful. Tucked away in a peaceful area of the Buda hills, we entered through a charming private garden that surely blooms beautifully in the summer. The interior exuded early 20th century elegance, complete with a wood-paneled dining room and a baby grand piano. The menu offered a sophisticated take on traditional Hungarian dishes, using only the finest ingredients and presenting them generously. We enjoyed starters of goose pate, rillette, and smoked breast, followed by mains of goose and veal that were equally elegant. The Hungarian wines recommended to us were excellent, including a Cabernet Franc that could rival those from Bordeaux. For dessert, the chef prepared a lovely cheese plate with Feta, Brie, and a local cheese, accompanied by fruit, nuts, and toasted bread. A pianist arrived during our meal, playing classic jazz and show tunes, adding to the enchanting atmosphere. The quality of the food, service, and ambiance far exceeded our expectations, and we were pleasantly surprised by the reasonable bill at the end of our meal. This restaurant truly offers a dining experience reminiscent of a bygone era."
