Rich and creamy tomato soup, perfectly seasoned with herbs and spices for a comforting, warm delight.

"Excellent place for breakfast. We stayed near this cafe and had tried various places around Hastings before trying out Cafe Mocha on our last day of stay. There were some awful placed to eat breakfast around this area of Hastings. We were pleasantly surprised how friendly the staff were. The quality of breakfast was also one of the best we had eaten whilst in Hastings. Please go to this cafe if you are close; you will not be disappointed."

"The restaurant has a nice appearance and the staff is friendly, but the menu is disappointingly small and uninspiring. With only 4 options each for starters, main courses, and desserts, the choices are very safe and lack imagination. The menu shown on their website was much better than what was actually offered. Although the food was well cooked and tasty, the overall experience was underwhelming given the upscale setting. It's a shame that the chef or manager did not provide more variety or creativity in the menu. The main courses consisted of typical options such as chicken, salmon, steak, and a vegetable dish. Overall, the menu was boring."

"Online reservation was not found in the system despite confirmation. So we got a replacement place where it was cold. The meat was too solid from the bite. In spite of clear occupancy, the operation took a long time to complete the wishes. Have experienced better days with you!"

"The restaurant is still quite new, so it's peaceful, but the modern ambiance is lovely. The service was excellent. The charcuterie platter was beautifully presented. I think they should consider adding their new potato chips to the side menu, as I received them with my meal and they were so indulgent that my partner kept stealing them. He mentioned that next time he would request them with his steak instead of the regular chips."

"After reading real good reviews, I had been waiting to check this place out for quite sometime now and finally today I did! I mean c 'mon now, the only grilled cheese sandwich shop in London! Who wouldn 't wanna go? Food: grilled cheese it is. A tiny cute place with a very appealing menu. We ordered Mac 'n 'cheese, BBQ Chicken and Portobello Mushroom. For the price of around £5 each it wasn 't bad at all! Though we were expecting something more fancy but it 's cheap and it 's cheese AND we were completely stuffed with just one. My friend who got the one with chicken didn 't find it that great to be honest. Maybe because of all the raised expectations and imagination. Service: the staff was really polite and nice. Full points to them! Ambience: the bright yellow and white tiny shop definitely gives a very nice vibe. Definitely worth a try!"

"I was invited to this quaint English holiday home in Maldon, Essex, and I must say, Chef Rob Horton's cuisine has truly flourished and improved over the past two years. The atmosphere is vibrant, and the focus on locally sourced, organic ingredients showcases the best of British produce. It's definitely worth the trip, as the kitchen is backed by a talented chef. The wine selection offers a variety from both the Old and New Worlds, catering to all budgets and generally providing excellent value for money. You won't be disappointed!"

"This charming café on Northfields Avenue is truly a hidden gem. The Egg Royale dish is simply amazing, and their poppy bagels are equally delicious. The freshly squeezed juices and smoothies are the perfect way to start your day. The selection of pastries and cakes is divine, and the atmosphere is inviting and cozy. The staff is lovely and attentive, and they also support local artists by displaying and selling their work. I highly recommend this café to anyone looking for a delightful dining experience."

"Starter portions fairly small. Mushrooms were tasty but 'only ' 2 each!? The Chateau-Briand for two was very good but the sauces were tame and small in size as were the portions of sauteed potatoes. The chicken was fairly mundane. Overall the service was reasonably attentive but spoiled by having to ask for a coffee refill of a small cup which appeared frowned upon. Overall, a little old fashioned, unchanged in years perhaps. It could do with some updating and focus on improving value for money, such as increased portion sizes."

"Fabulous place, amazing delicious food and excellent service! Very near to Urmston train station. The place is so large and spacious you can go with your family enough space for kids : The music is such a classic. The food was top class you could tell the ingredients were great quality and the chefs take great pride to create really tasty food. The menu items weren’t all the ordinary ones the best Mediterranean food especially Turkish Food. I am vegetarian and they have a great deal of veg dishes. The staff were so kind and fast. I had veggie Moussaka and tzatziki the flavours were amazing! The desserts were also so fresh like my mom cooked. Other good things: friendly, helpful staff the owners came over to chat to us to check we were happy with everything bar area is lovely and it has open doors for those warmer eves great wine choices meticulously clean table, toilets and glassware very reasonably priced for the food quality and eye catching decorations. Good for birthday parties. Definitely I will go again."

"For our main course, we ordered the “Hähnchen-Ubere.” The two pieces of chicken were very dry, served with a generous portion of chips that were quite tasty, along with some limp lettuce and a piece of mushroom. When we inquired about a sauce, we were told that it didn't come with one, but we could purchase a sauce for an additional £2.50. The red wine we chose was served in the smallest carafes and was notably watery. We also requested a side of seasonal vegetables, expecting something like steamed broccoli, but instead received a bowl of overcooked diced vegetables that were bland and unappetizing. After a few bites, we found it inedible. When we raised our concerns, the staff was gracious and informed us that we wouldn’t be charged for the main meal, only for the wine and bread. Unfortunately, this visit was on our wedding anniversary, and we were incredibly disappointed with the entire experience. We won’t be returning."

"I must say, I was so disappointed with my visit to Fredricks. My friend and I went for afternoon tea and were really looking forward to it. But we both found the experience really disappointing. Firstly the afternoon tea cakes looked nothing like the advert, nowhere near as fancy. The scones were lovely but we only had about a couple of tablespoons of cream between the two of us which wasn’t enough! The chap who initially gave us our tea was lovely but then once he had gone we didn’t see a soul. There was no one coming to check if we were ok or needed refills. I ended up drinking cold tea and my friend who had a coffee had nothing once that was finished. It wasn’t until we were practically finished that someone else came to have afternoon tea that we could actually grab someone to ask them for a refill! The ambiance of the afternoon tea was awful. Initially there was lovely music in the background but after about 15 mins it was turned off and we were left in silence. All we could hear were staff in the next room shouting to each other about something or other. There was no atmosphere at all and we actually felt like we shouldn’t be there! I’ve been to a number of afternoon teas and this was by far the worst one I have had. However this was my friends first afternoon tea and we thought that Fredricks would be fabulous for a first time tea..... but she was so disappointed! I felt really bad for her! : I don’t think I would come again."

"I recently tried the Hungarian potato cakes with stroganoff at this restaurant and they were one of the best I've ever had. The cakes were incredibly crispy, and the beef and mushroom stroganoff was rich and flavorful. I can't wait to try the stuffed cabbage rolls next, as I've heard they are amazing."

"We were a group of five at Amber. We ordered 4 chicken dishes and 1 vegetarian dish. After the food arrived, my girlfriend and I (who had ordered the same dish) noticed that we were served fish instead of chicken. When I brought this to the waiter's attention, he adamantly denied it and said that the chicken had been grilled beforehand, which may have altered the taste. When I asked him to try the chicken meat (which was translucent and did not have the texture of meat), he said he didn't need to because it was chicken. Besides the fact that it smelled strongly of fish, I found this to be unprofessional.. very disappointing. The others at my table who also ordered chicken dishes did not experience this issue, and the comparison of their dishes confirmed it. I can recommend the naan bread and the ambiance, but I will not be returning to the restaurant as I expected at least some sort of acknowledgement, especially since I returned the dish almost untouched."
