"We visited on a Sunday lunchtime in early August to celebrate a couple of birthdays. We had booked and were offered a table inside the restaurant (pub? which was all but empty while it was a nice day outside. We asked if we could be seated outside to be able to enjoy the weather and to watch the world go by. We were told very rudely If there 's a table out there then you can eat out there, but you can 't run a tab and you have to order at the bar . We did as we were told, trying to make light of the rudeness. To be fair, it was only one of the staff who had this unfortunate attitude. We ordered drinks at the bar and then our food There 's a 30 minute wait the rude server told us. Dressed Crab, Mussels, and a fish and chips. Turned out there were no mussels left, so we ordered another fish and chips. The food, when it arrive (not as long as 30 minutes was ok, but only ok. My mother 's fish and chips was overdone and dry. Mine was less well cooked, but still rather bland and fish was dry. The whole experience was rather disappointing. We cut our losses and left to eat an ice cream elsewhere. It would hurt any of the staff to crack a smile and perhaps a lesson in manners and customer service wouldn 't go amiss."

"Wonderful afternoon tea experience in London. The staff is very friendly. There are options to sit at a regular table or around a coffee table with a sofa and chairs. We chose the latter and were very comfortable. They have wonderful options for vegetarians and our meat eating friend also enjoyed the experience. We were very full by the end of the meal. The tea is absolutely delicious! And there is also a piano player during afternoon tea that provides wonderful ambiance"

"only visited odyssey for the first time and we can hardly wait to go back. the service, eating and atmosphere was excellent. the staff can not do enough for them, extremely friendly and helpful. eating was excellent, fast service and the portions were generous. so much we got away with a doggy bag. the restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and I especially liked the small corner of the Greek products that they can buy. small touches like ouzo and apple juice for my daughter, when we sat down, go along. can not recommend enough. we'll be back soon!"

"beautiful restaurant with view of the bar, beautiful outside seats, if the weather allowed. service was friendly and attentive. had to start muddles with sea vegetables, which was good, but very salty, perhaps the meergy pleasure to sell some salt. monkfish was excellent and cooked, seasoned perfectly. no place for dessert so order a Macchiato coffee, but got a cappuccino. good wine list and cheap, **** mary could have been better, as it does not season and served with too much ice makes it watery."

"After we ordered drinks at the bar, we placed our food order. The server informed us there would be a 30-minute wait. "Having lived in London 33 years, I knew this restaurant existed, always wanted to visit, now I regret not coming sooner. There are thousands of trendy, go to places in this city, most are all style over substance. This place gives a you a warm Cypriot/Greek hug, rarely found these days. No frills or fanciness, they know what they are doing and do it well. It is like stepping back in time but that is not a bad thing.It makes you feel like and old friend you met in a taverna in Ayia Napa. The food is as Greek/Cypriot as you can get. Generous, well cooked and delicious. The Dolmades are divine but the Kleftiko is the star, a very slow cooked large piece of lamb cooked till it completely falls off the bone.Rice is cooked in stock with tiny slivers of pasta. To be honest it is all of a very high standard.The prices are extremely reasonable. This is not art on a plate. You will need a hefty appetite, leaving full, satisfied with a warm glow, The music will stay in your head and adds to the atmosphere. I brought a friend for his birthday on Thursday lunch, decided to return yesterday with another friend, both loved it.The staff are welcoming, lovely and a joy. This place is just what it says on the tin. If any one criticizes they have never eaten great food in a Greek/Cypriot restaurant before.."

The presentation of the dishes is stunning, and the flavors are even more impressive than their appearance—everything looks fantastic! They also offer a nice selection of wines; I highly recommend trying the Cremont. The desserts created by the chef are outstanding. In fact, everything that comes out of the kitchen is remarkable. It’s one of the rare places where I would be happy to order anything from the menu, knowing it would be both delicious and visually appealing. The chef is incredibly talented. If you appreciate good food and are looking for excellent value, this restaurant is a must-visit. It has officially become my favorite restaurant in Glasgow."

"open on a Sunday that is so populated for brunch, boiled eggs perfect, but beans were a little watery and loaded with mushrooms -can with a bit of a variety on the veg in the veg fry up. "I came here on a midweek evening with a friend. It wasn 't particularly busy 3 tables max were occupied. Food I had the special a meat and pasta dish which was unfortunately swimming in its own grease, but it was passable. A late middle aged man was serving, who was helpful and friendly, but was obviously rushed off his feet he may even have been doing the cooking and serving at the same time. A late middle aged woman, who turned out to be the owner, was sat outside with her dog and a friend. Towards the end of our meal, she moved inside. She later turned her hand to waitressing, but this was evidently not her forte. When we 'd finished, our polite request to split the bill seemed to create a massive drama for her, I 'VE PUT IT [THE SUM] INTO THE [CARD] MACHINE NOW , she snapped. After her meltdown, she handed the job to her (presumably) employee, to whom she spoke like he was a dog. I really felt for him. She proceeded to slag us off to her friend, even though we were sat only about 3 metres away from them, in the same (quiet) room. Either she is a bitter individual, or was just having a bad day and took it out on us. Regardless, she had a mare and I would not recommend the place. No problem with the no doubt long suffering guy though."

"I tried this restaurant for the first time and was very impressed. It is definitely the best breakfast option in town. "The restaurant was quite busy for a Monday, but I waited over 90 minutes for a cheeseboard. When I chased after about 50 minutes, I was told by the supervisor that they were working on it. The supervisor later came and asked if it was the burger I had ordered, even though I had confirmed it was the cheeseboard. After waiting for 90 minutes, I went to the bar and canceled my order. However, a staff member informed me that they couldn't refund me and I would have to see reception. This was a disappointing customer service experience. The only positives were the lady behind the bar who tried her best to help in a courteous manner, and the guy on reception who handled the situation professionally. Overall, it was a bad experience for a simple cheeseboard order."

"in the frame of a virgin experience we had a night in the crowne plaza marlow, which included a three-course dinner and breakfast. the meal was absolutely delicious with four choices per cursor. the presentation and taste were of a very high standard and a very pleasant surprise for a hotel restaurant. beautiful supplements made it extra special like camramelized nuts and a macron with the tarte tatin for dessert- see photo. I dropped a star because unfortunately the service did not meet the high standard of the meal. we waited a long time to give our order, our starter came before our drinks, the waiter had to be reminded of our water and there was a long waiting period before they took our dessert order. we were also not given any bill at the end of the meal, as it was part of our Virgin package, but at the review from the hotel the next day the congratulation without our approval was added - this is a real annoyance from me and I asked that it be removed. it's a shame that we could not just tap the chefs. the next day the breakfast was excellent. it was self-serving and there was a huge selection of fresh fruit, yogurt, chalk, toast, cold meat, cheese, baked and a complete English breakfast with high-quality products to choose from."

"We were initially impressed with the appearance of the restaurant. However, our experience quickly went downhill when our waitress seemed to have no knowledge of the beer selection or the menu. Despite our request for a burger without tomato, it was served with tomato. When we pointed this out, the same burger was simply returned to us with the tomato removed, which was disappointing. Thankfully, no one in our party was allergic to tomato. Overall, we were unimpressed with the service and the atmosphere of the restaurant. We likely will not be returning. On a positive note, the exterior of the building was quite nice, but the interior felt more like a community hall and lacked any special charm."

"Very disappointing considering I was told it was one of the best places to go for a roast in York. It started with one waiter stating he needed to check if they had defrosted any more chicken…. There were two hairs in my food one hidden under my chicken breast and one wrapped around a parsnip. The dish was replaced but the food was sub par not to the standard we had been told. No one came back to the table to check on the food, my mother in laws food was like warm even tho she asked for it to be as hot as they could make it. A mild apology and £4 off the bill for two hairs which put me off my food and everything was just overly disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone and I certainly won’t go back."
