"Really disappointing we used to be regulars pre pandemic, first time back and it seems much has changed. Maybe they were having an off night but the tempura was soaked in oil, they did change it but the new dish came back the same, dripping. The rolls were fine but nothing blew us away like it used to. The atmosphere was different, I don’t know if it’s changed ownership but where we used to come out of this place buzzing, it was just flat and the staff just seemed so indifferent. The other thing that really ruined the atmosphere are all the delivery drivers who stand outside impatiently pressing the buzzer and looking through the window the same window we and our friend were seated at. I did food deliveries during the pandemic and was always respectful of diners when in dining came back I always made sure the staff knew I was there then would wait discreetly… Maguro really need to have some system in place so the drivers don’t gang up around the entrances, it completely ruins the experience from the moment you arrive and have to push past the drivers to get into the restaurant! So disappointing and I’m not sure we’d come back to dine in."

"we had looked at the reviews for this place and looked forward to a culinary tasty to awaken our taste buds! not sure what went wrong, but we were not at the same place that had all received these bright reviews....We had a table booked and at the arrival we were drawn from a person with long blue hair (not back tied back) about her mask type she was so quietly spoken that we had to ask her to repeat what she said. we ordered from a server that was not very knowledgeable about the menu. we wanted to know how much we had to order for two people. we started with prawn skewers four very small garnel for £6.20 they were nicely cooked and delicious, but mere and expensive. we also had the soft bowl crawling- nice, but overpriced at £9.90 eating was in this phase ok and we were looking forward to our main dishes. the time of suppe tasteless broth with overcooked noodles, not sure what was in the Tempoura battery! chicken catsu curry served with an salat and no rice! a first for me, I always had rice with a catsurin. it would have been helpful if the server said that rice must be ordered separately. that said the catsu curry sauce was nice and the huh fine. very well-fried ice cream. we had two small beer and service fees were added to the bill that the sum for two of us £59.62 we thought it was expensive for an average meal that was a broth related to warm water. in total very disappointing."

"During our trip to Japan last year, we dined at Kiri and were thoroughly impressed by the authentic flavors. The restaurant's label as an Izakaya primarily reflected its ambience and decor, rather than its menu. However, this was insignificant as the food was exceptional. We opted for the tasting menu with Sake Pairing, which was priced at a reasonable £60 per person. We were elated by this fantastic discovery and are eager to return for another memorable dining experience."

"Shimogano opened in 2013 in a parade of shops on Camden Parkway. It is named after an ancient Kyoto Shinto shrine that is a UNESCO world heritage site. The restaurant has a small dining area and bar at ground level, the main dining room being in the basement. The décor is fairly basic, and the restaurant serves a wide variety of Japanese cuisine styles, from sushi to tempura to noodles and beyond. This slightly scattergun approach is normal in London but unusual in Japan, where most restaurants specialise, sometimes to an extreme degree e.g. some restaurants serve only eel, or only tonkatsu. It must be difficult for any restaurant to really master such a wide menu. See more at:...read more"

"Neighborhood sushi connection in stoke newington. we went as a coward on the new year evening to the early evening dinner before the family all distributed to their respective parties. the personal was on the ball and the sushi was very good and inventive. the decor is quite simple, but still comfortable and in general it had an inviting mood. our waitress was covered with dids, but it is stoke newington and she was on the ball with service. highly recommended."

"Mediocrity. It 's not as bad as it seems when it comes to sushi in London. Just had Tokiya Sushi and have to say: why are resturants so cheap with their fish when making maki here? All I 'm asking for is equal parts fish/veggie to rice, not even more fish than rice like I 'd find in the US but this seems like a difficult enough ask. On the upside, their sushi is yum yum yummie, and pretty cheap, affordable by all who have about 10-15 quid to spend on a dinner, but maki, although good, has such a small amount of the fish you order in it, it doesn 't even make sense to order them over the sushi unless you really don 't like fish. Not so good point #2 My dinner-mate got a sushi regular which was 6 pieces of sushi and 5 pieces of maki. What they didn 't state was that maki means the cheapest thing possible which turned out to be a cucumber roll with not even a bit of fish in the roll in sight. Obviously if people are ordering a sushi plate, they aren 't vegetarians and generally will expect SOME fish in their maki! End diagnosis, would order take away from (i forgot to mention there is a 10 pound per person rule even though most of their entrees are under 10 pounds and oh yeah it DOESN 'T include drinks) especially the sushi, but don 't go by the photo here, you are lucky if the maki comes with half that much filling, albeit they are still tasty if unsatisfactory. sushi pretty good, maki order take away from Tsunami just down the other way."

"We organised a karaoke party for a group of 12 year old girls on Sunday afternoon 3 July and they absolutely loved it. It was the only place in town that did karaoke for kids and families. Our host Ivy made the karaoke room warm and inviting and for the girls it felt really authentic and special. There was plenty of food and drinks included in the price and all of it was delicious. The girls enjoyed singing their favourite songs, eating together and being looked after so well by Ivy and her team. Whilst the girls enjoyed their space we parents sat downstairs and enjoyed a tasty set menu box. I had the Gyosa with skewered veg and my husband the tempora which was hot and tasty. The cost per head for the party was good value for money and was very relaxed. Yes there was a 10% service charge which is pretty common now, and we were happy to pay it because we'd received such care and attention to everything. I'd recommend Obento for family, kids, parties it's a really fun way to share an experience together with good company and super tasty food. Thank you to everyone at Obento for making our party so amazing, the girls were raving about it !!!!! I've included a pic of the set up, this was before I added some party banners, balloons. There is a sunken table lit from beneath which looks great"

"lso unique with options that I haven't seen at other Japanese restaurants. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes, which enhanced my dining experience. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it the perfect place for a date night or a meal with friends. I highly recommend trying the sushi platter, it was fresh and delicious. Overall, a fantastic dining experience and I will definitely be returning."

"I had an excellent experience with the service at this restaurant, as it was polite and efficient. However, when I dined at The Fat Buddha in Seaburn a month ago, I enjoyed a meal that was fresh, homemade, and full of spices. Based on that positive experience, I decided to give this Durham location a try. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the food here. I ordered the same dishes - chicken satay and green curry - but both had a slimy texture and lacked flavor. The green curry seemed like it was from a tin with just a few red peppers added. The food tasted cheap and fast-food like, making it difficult for me to enjoy. I left feeling unsatisfied and would not recommend this restaurant or return in the future."

"try out Bourbon Steak by Michael Mina, I knew I had to give it a shot. And let me tell you, I was not disappointed. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the hostess and seated promptly. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with a modern yet rustic decor. The service was impeccable, with our server being knowledgeable and attentive. And the food? Oh my goodness, the steak was perfectly cooked to my liking and the sides were just as delicious. I cannot recommend this steak house enough. It truly lives up to its reputation as the best in Miami."

"Lovely restaurant in vicinity of London Bridge. Decor and atmosphere was nice place for a dinner with drinks. The place was not busy and we were quickly given a table. We had a tempura and unagi roll, and a salmon set which was tasty. Sashimi was thick cut and fresh. Staff was friendly and checked on us frequently. The only negative was they made a mistake in our order twice, but was quick to rectify and food came on table timely probably a new staff. The menu was a white sheet with text, and i wonder if it was a covid 19 reduced menu or not as i found the menu slightly plain. Prices were on the steeper side. May visit again if i crave sushi and am in the area, but would not go specifically."

"During our weekend trip to Bournemouth, we stumbled upon Kori, a Korean restaurant, next to the noodle house where we had originally planned to dine. Although we were hesitant due to never having tried Korean food before, the front of house staff was incredibly helpful and polite. They provided us with a menu and picture menu to assist with our order. The meal, cooked fresh, exceeded our expectations and was well worth the wait. The addition of complimentary Miso Soup and pickled vegetables enhanced our dining experience. We were thoroughly impressed with the quality of the food, the reasonable prices, and the exceptional service. This meal quickly became one of the best we've ever had. Kori is a must-visit restaurant in the area, and we will definitely be returning. We highly recommend trying out this Korean gem. Thank you, Kori, for a memorable dining experience and introducing us to the delicious flavors of Korean cuisine."

"Not much options on the food menu for selection but the appetisers are good. The soysauce cucumber can get a bit too salty, but is nice. The spinach with sesame is definitely a hit and the fried tofu is good. I'd go for the unagi as it was well cooked. Environment wise is nice. Very quiet during weekdays and the food is quite authentic. Dont forget to try the mille crepe matcha cake. Its thick and creamy. The only thing I didn't like was the Asian waitress had quite the attitude. Was not knowledgeable in Japanese food to be able to answer my questions and acted cocky when answering wrongly. Was also a bully towards my European friends when she kept pushing them to tell them what kind of green tea they wanted when they didnt know the difference between the three oh and I was hushed by her when I tried to explain what the difference was to them. It wasnt rush hour either since we were the only ones dining there at the time. Rude and unpleasant despite the food being good. The environment is amazing though. The top floor is neat and tidy it feels cosy and the bar is a great place to dine at as it has hooks. Downstairs is a bar, not sure if it has opened up but definitely quite well done."
