"We’ve been fans and loyal customers to Maguro for two years, that is until our last meal. We arrived late on Sunday evening and were aware that the kitchen would be closing soon, however, we were not told that we had only one chance to place our order. The waitress, instead of ensuring our order was promptly taken, decided to refill soya sauce bottles. When I approached her to place in our order before the kitchen closed, we were met with a very rude response as if we were imposing on her. The food arrived, but was not up to its usual standard. Still we asked for another item and was informed that the kitchen was closed. We were very disappointed both in the quality of the food and the poor attention of the staff. I’ll chalk this up to bring late on a Sunday evening and give it one more try, hence not giving only one star for the collective experience."

"Had dinner here on a Friday night and were able to walk in without a reservation. This is a hidden gem. The sweet and spicy fried chicken was absolutely incredible. However, we both wanted sushi for dinner and let me tell you, it did NOT...disappoint. This was one of the freshest pieces of tuna I’ve ever had. The sushi rice was also incredible. The whole thing melted in my mouth. Udon noodles were a great addition. 10/10. Unexpected, casual but delicious."

"There are many good Japanese restaurants in London (Chisou, Sakagura, Roka, Murakami, Sosharu, etc) I don't consider Kiri one of them. Kiri's menu items are priced similar to other restaurants but the standard is much lower. The quality of sushi at Kiri was poorer (sinewy and chewy), service was poor even though the restaurant wasn't busy on our visit. Our fairly light, quick meal for two (with a cocktail each and a glass of sochu each) came to £140.00. This seemed very over priced for the food and poor dining experience we had. I wouldn't recommend Kiri and I won't be returning."

"Shimogano opened in 2013 in a parade of shops on Camden Parkway. It is named after an ancient Kyoto Shinto shrine that is a UNESCO world heritage site. The restaurant has a small dining area and bar at ground level, the main dining room being in the basement. The décor is fairly basic, and the restaurant serves a wide variety of Japanese cuisine styles, from sushi to tempura to noodles and beyond. This slightly scattergun approach is normal in London but unusual in Japan, where most restaurants specialise, sometimes to an extreme degree e.g. some restaurants serve only eel, or only tonkatsu. It must be difficult for any restaurant to really master such a wide menu. See more at:...read more"

"Our 4th anniversary. We usually go up, but it wasn't possible this year. To be honest, the food was just as good as where we usually dinate for far and much more of it we had to take some away. The staff was very friendly and funny and we would recommend you visit there. The service was fast and the food delicious!!"

"Mediocrity. It 's not as bad as it seems when it comes to sushi in London. Just had Tokiya Sushi and have to say: why are resturants so cheap with their fish when making maki here? All I 'm asking for is equal parts fish/veggie to rice, not even more fish than rice like I 'd find in the US but this seems like a difficult enough ask. On the upside, their sushi is yum yum yummie, and pretty cheap, affordable by all who have about 10-15 quid to spend on a dinner, but maki, although good, has such a small amount of the fish you order in it, it doesn 't even make sense to order them over the sushi unless you really don 't like fish. Not so good point #2 My dinner-mate got a sushi regular which was 6 pieces of sushi and 5 pieces of maki. What they didn 't state was that maki means the cheapest thing possible which turned out to be a cucumber roll with not even a bit of fish in the roll in sight. Obviously if people are ordering a sushi plate, they aren 't vegetarians and generally will expect SOME fish in their maki! End diagnosis, would order take away from (i forgot to mention there is a 10 pound per person rule even though most of their entrees are under 10 pounds and oh yeah it DOESN 'T include drinks) especially the sushi, but don 't go by the photo here, you are lucky if the maki comes with half that much filling, albeit they are still tasty if unsatisfactory. sushi pretty good, maki order take away from Tsunami just down the other way."

"upstairs was the first Japanese restaurant I had eaten 15 years ago. after returning to bristol, I was reluctant, based on some negative reviews. I must say that I was very pleasantly surprised when I came for a friend party in one of the above mentioned karaoke rooms. the personal was professional and attentive, and the food I had - una don (grilled eel reis,) mango fry roll (deep fried fish sushi roll with mango) and miso suppe - was good. not sure how authentic the mango sushi is, but it was still tasty; the unagi was well cooked and had the right taste, and the suppe hit the place. the karaoke room was a great value – £150 for 3 hours karaoke and £150 worth eating and drinking. So if you spend £150 on eating and drinking, then you get the karaoke free in the round. they can easily fit 10 people in this room, so it is very favorable. we had a great time there and I would like to eat again for more karaoke."

"lso unique with options that I haven't seen at other Japanese restaurants. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes, which enhanced my dining experience. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it the perfect place for a date night or a meal with friends. I highly recommend trying the sushi platter, it was fresh and delicious. Overall, a fantastic dining experience and I will definitely be returning."

"try out Bourbon Steak by Michael Mina, I knew I had to give it a shot. And let me tell you, I was not disappointed. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the hostess and seated promptly. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with a modern yet rustic decor. The service was impeccable, with our server being knowledgeable and attentive. And the food? Oh my goodness, the steak was perfectly cooked to my liking and the sides were just as delicious. I cannot recommend this steak house enough. It truly lives up to its reputation as the best in Miami."

"I had an excellent experience with the service at this restaurant, as it was polite and efficient. However, when I dined at The Fat Buddha in Seaburn a month ago, I enjoyed a meal that was fresh, homemade, and full of spices. Based on that positive experience, I decided to give this Durham location a try. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the food here. I ordered the same dishes - chicken satay and green curry - but both had a slimy texture and lacked flavor. The green curry seemed like it was from a tin with just a few red peppers added. The food tasted cheap and fast-food like, making it difficult for me to enjoy. I left feeling unsatisfied and would not recommend this restaurant or return in the future."

"Lovely restaurant in vicinity of London Bridge. Decor and atmosphere was nice place for a dinner with drinks. The place was not busy and we were quickly given a table. We had a tempura and unagi roll, and a salmon set which was tasty. Sashimi was thick cut and fresh. Staff was friendly and checked on us frequently. The only negative was they made a mistake in our order twice, but was quick to rectify and food came on table timely probably a new staff. The menu was a white sheet with text, and i wonder if it was a covid 19 reduced menu or not as i found the menu slightly plain. Prices were on the steeper side. May visit again if i crave sushi and am in the area, but would not go specifically."

"recently after the change of property my family went to dinner in the Korean restaurant and the workers, eating, presentation was super and atmosphere were full of traces! each individual dish had this authentic Korean taste that I know from experience (as I lived in uk over 20 years and Korea visited every couple of years! that I could only get them from korea alone, but this restaurant is all from Britain. I had a tofu stew/soup, with dolsot bibimbab and glazed. I finished every single dish completely without rest! will visit again in the future. Thank you."

"Not much options on the food menu for selection but the appetisers are good. The soysauce cucumber can get a bit too salty, but is nice. The spinach with sesame is definitely a hit and the fried tofu is good. I'd go for the unagi as it was well cooked. Environment wise is nice. Very quiet during weekdays and the food is quite authentic. Dont forget to try the mille crepe matcha cake. Its thick and creamy. The only thing I didn't like was the Asian waitress had quite the attitude. Was not knowledgeable in Japanese food to be able to answer my questions and acted cocky when answering wrongly. Was also a bully towards my European friends when she kept pushing them to tell them what kind of green tea they wanted when they didnt know the difference between the three oh and I was hushed by her when I tried to explain what the difference was to them. It wasnt rush hour either since we were the only ones dining there at the time. Rude and unpleasant despite the food being good. The environment is amazing though. The top floor is neat and tidy it feels cosy and the bar is a great place to dine at as it has hooks. Downstairs is a bar, not sure if it has opened up but definitely quite well done."
