"I'm afraid to say this was most certainly the most disappointing ramen I've ever had inthe UK. All hot dishes came out cold. The ramen broth tasted alright but I couldn't tell for sure at that temperature. The noodles were the right bite but it was just altogether unenjoyable."

"After a lovely day walking around Edinburgh my friend and I decided to go for ramen and stumbled across this lovely place in Edinburgh. Happy to report it was exactly what we wanted and more . The decor in the restaurant was lovely and the vibe was great. The staff were very friendly. The food was delicious . We went for the crispy pork bao buns and garlic ramen with pork . The buns melted in the mouth and had a huge depth of flavour . The ramen was thick and full of brilliant flavours of garlic and other wonderful good ness . If you want wonderful Japanese cuisine then do take a pop into this place . You will love the experience."

"There are three labelled vegan ramens on the menu, plus a few side dishes. We had the crispy tofu bao buns to start. The tofu did indeed have a lovely crispy texture and the sauce was tasty, but the other components (tomato, lettuce, cucumber) watered everything down a bit, unfortunately. Visually, it could have used a bit more care to make it look more tempting too. I had the white natural ramen, which had a lovely savoury, creamy broth with loads of flavour. My partner has the spicy natural, and loved the kick to the broth. In both dishes, the portion of noodles was generous. The toppings were a bit boring the tofu didn't have any flavour, and the broccoli was a fun change from the usual bok choi but was a bit tricky to manage. Overall, we felt the exciting broth was a bit let down by the toppings. Service was quite fast and friendly. Everything was easy to navigate and it's a nice bright spot."

"Somewhere tasty needed for an Saturday whilst visiting Exeter and not booked at 8 pm. Goto came up on TA. Close to hotel. Doesn’t look like much from outside but welcoming when we went in. Snagged the last table. Not an expert in Japanese food, but know good, tasty food and they have it in spades. Tempura prawns x 5 and some veg tempura too and fried chicken Kara age were special. The turbot nigiri delicate flavoured with a seriously hot wasabi and lovely pickled ginger. Will be having more of this next time. Mains of chicken Katsu (beautiful chicken, curry sauce and a chicken teriyaki to make you weep. So soft and mous. Both served with a mountain of rice. Kirin beer for me. Plum sake for partner. The latter is moreish, with a rich plum flavour. Try it if you see it. So what a find. An easy place to walk past and ignore. Don’t do that!"

"Greatest Hangover Cure!. After heavy night out, what i really needed to get me back to form was a big bowl of ramen. Tonkotsu east by Haggerston station was a saving grace and a great addition to the area. Went with a friend and loved the space which is right under the overground rail line. Staff was friendly and attentive. Ordered the Chicken gyoza, Crabmeat Korokke and we both had the Tonkotsu ramen. The Crabmeat Korokke was great, like croquettes its served with delicious mayonaise. I could eat these for days. The Gyoza came out next but with no sauce, then i realized you had to make your own sauce from the table soya, vinegar and chili oil. This was nice as we like it hot and you can...read more"

"I was quite surprised to discover a whole food dish across whole food in our search for bones of daddies. the current magic of the weather has kept me looking for suppe and ramen art of food. after a trip to the design museum, tried to find a place for early dinner and revealed bones of daddies that I had previously written literally. while it is set in a food dish, bone daddies has its own place for diners, so when they enter, they will feel a restaurant. we arrived early at 6:30, but there were already a few tables with people who share small tellers and drinks from their extensive menu. we left us on a jasmin tee and carrot orange juice (alcohol detox diet is on, otherwise I would like to try some of the exciting sakes on the menu) the table had a series of spicy chili paste (vegetarian, no garnel, yay for me,) sesame seeds, garlic marinated vinegar. the lady got us a little extra chili oil when I asked that my robbers are sharp. they also offered horny ties (elastic straps) and plastic straps. such a thoughtful gesture to eat rammen. he had a late lunch and didn't want to go to the main course, but I was really hungry. So we have for several small plates and one main. the fried chicken went well with wasabi mayo dip that accompanied the chicken summer roller. I think the fried chicken deserved the bathroom more than the roll. the chili pork bao was beautiful, but I was surprised to get only one piece (a previous picture on this group may have sown my expectations) it was great so that we cut it into half to share. the plastered shijitake was perfect for what I wanted (to cut the viscous texture of the toncottsu wheel) the rave was perfect. I liked the lower part of noodles to veggies and I had ordered extra mushrooms and pork. While I prefer a higher proportion of protein and veg of carb, I must admit that I would have enjoyed much more of the noodles (they have the opportunity to order extra) they were really good. the small mochi ice balls were perfect. not too sweet, just a hauch sweet. I have tried the yuzu, hazelnuts and chocolate, although I was a chocoholic, I have to say the yuzu hazelnuts were very preferred. I know now where I'm going to eat when I'm on the kensington high street in the evening. there is so much more in the Starter menu that I want to try and I love their version of the Tonkotsu wheel."

"The service at this restaurant was outstanding! I accidentally ordered the chicken sandwich instead of the burger I wanted, but the waiter quickly made the switch without charging me extra, even though the burger was more expensive. It's not just about the food, it's about the overall experience. This goes to show that you don't have to go to a Michelin-starred restaurant in London to receive exceptional service. I was very impressed and will definitely be returning!"

"Authentic. Tried the signature Tonkotsu ramen and the Ice and Fire. The signature Tonkotsu was authentic. Nevertheless, there was inconsistency in the handling of the egg it should have semi runny yoke! Mine was cooked while my friend 's was runny. One may argue this was a major flaw for a ramen soft boiled eggs with semi runny yoke are one of the key factors making breaking a ramen and Shoryu needs to up its game on it. The salmon of the Ice and Fire was excellent. However, I was confused about the noodles and the broth. Was one supposed to put the noodles into the hot broth? In the end I put it in anyway as it would have been too dry. The broth was extra strong (we compared it with the normal broth of the Tonkotsu) and very yummy. As a side we ordered fried chicken pieces, which however were a disappointment. They were greasy chicken pieces nothing special. It was way too hot though inside (we went there on the hottest day in London) and we sweated like pigs from start to finish and actually felt relieved to be outside the restaurant afterwards. However, it was a great bargain as we enjoyed the £5 ramen discount. At its original price, I may go back but probably not until I have tried all the other ramen places."
