"Amazing Tonkotsu ramen. Honestly, I have never tasted Tonkotsu before and I have heard so much about it and tried it here first time. Loved it. Tried spicy octopus balls. Can 't remember the specific name. Very tasty. Didn 't expect that taste. Be very careful with 'Sake '. It 's not like wine. It 's like vodka. Very powerful. Just two cups and I was done. Happy with service and ambience. Everyone was lovely. Parking: have to park somewhere else and walk to this place. Good location to have a fun stroll and enjoy the meal."

Very consistent chain as I’ve been to the ones in London and the Manchester one is just as tasty

The black noodles with tofu is great. And, the Kagua beer is nice. My favourite combo whenever I go to Manchester.

There were only a couple fully vegan dishes, but there were starters and two mains. My partner and I had the seaweed salad to start which was beautifully seasoned and very tasty. We then had the two mains, which was a tofu ramen bowl, one spicy, one not, and both were absolutely delicious

I absolutely loved the food at Shoryu. I had the Black Sesam Tofu as a starter, followed by the White Natural Ramen. Both dishes were fantastic! You really belong to the best food I ever had. In addition, the staff were friendly and the location is very central. This would be a five-star rating if it was a veggie restaurant.

"Alborz is a wonderful hidden gem in Levenshulme that serves a variety of Persian and Middle-Eastern food, located on Stockport Rd you could be forgiven for thinking that Alborz is as unassuming as it's humble exterior suggests. However, what lies behind those modest doors is truly fantastic restaurant both in terms of food and service. The interior is understated and tasteful, furnished with Persian vases and ornate tea sets, the tables are close together to make the most of the limited space available but this lends a refreshing communal atmosphere to your meal. The staff were friendly and attentive and more than happy to talk you through the menu and explain the various dishes. We ordered the Mezze Platter to start, this consists of four different starters, and is ideal if you're not overly familiar with Persian cuisine, the homemade hummus was a particular highlight being both fresh and tasty. We then ordered the Alborz special grill for two, which looks as wonderful as it tastes, succulent skewers of koobideh and chicken accompanied by grilled vegetables, saffron rice and a freshly baked taltoon bread which was frankly quite ridiculous in its magnificence and is so large it came supplied with its own stand. This was a true delight to eat and I can highly recommend it. After all of that, we were overloaded with food and couldn't possibly consider having dessert and so, asked for the bill, which led to true surprise of the evening, all of this wonderfully authentic and fresh food came to a grand total of £42. This reflects tremendous value in a time where a meal for two can often prove quite expensive. Overall I would say that Alborz is definitely worth visiting if you're in the area and if you're not well then it's worth making the trip for. If you're a fan of Persian food or perhaps want to try something new then you would genuinely struggle to find such a quality dining experience at this price point."

"I've been to a couple of different Dishoom branches a few times and have never been disappointed by the breakfast options. The sausage naan roll is excellent. A couple of really tasty vegan sausages with some melted vegan cheese all wrapped up in a lovely soft naan and served with some sort of sweet chilli dipping sauce. My go to now is usually the vegan Bombay. It's a good hearty breakfast plate with... a couple of the same well seasoned vegan sausages. Some vegan tofu akuri a nicely spiced tofu scramble. Some very well cooked mushroom slices (that are maybe a wee bit under seasoned). The baked beans are really nicely spiced, elevating them far beyond the standard sweet sauce fare that's the usual. A few slices of well flavoured black pudding (that could be fried to being a bit crispier). A cooked tomato which is a bit dull, I've never been keen on tomatoes on my breakfast plate and this once has not changed my mind. It could do with some more charring and maybe some spicing. To help you mop everything up, the whole thing is served with a couple of soft bread buns that have been nicely toasted. I usually top the whole thing off with some chocolate chai with oat milk you get free refills for your chai. Unfortunately, it isn't wheelchair accessible. There are stairs up into the restaurant and various small flights of stairs to get to different parts of the restaurant. Updated from previous review on 2024 03 25"
