they have best ramen! and the part is huge in comparison to other rammenhaus, staff are very helpful and friendly. cozy ambiente with a beautiful flash. I will come back to definitiw, highly recommended

very generous portion sushi I must say! although I must be honest that each brand has a completely different standard. especially I found the one in the old town as the best for sushi and maki ramen in morningside is the best for ramen.

The decor and service was great but the ramen could definitely score higher marks. The broth flavour and noodle quality are in question but the rest of the ingredients are well prepared I suspect it’s probably the best ramen you will find in the area, the rest of the menu is also fairly good however nothing really stood out!

Lovely Tiny place! I went for dinner with Urban Traveller and i had ramen for the first time, the curry One with soy marinated egg and then we shared the red dragon sushi plate, it was delicious, staff very nice even if definitely new and not too ready to answer question. I'll definitely go back only down is that being very Small is perfect for Two but not large groups even if they have a couple of tables downstairs

Edinburgh has plenty to offer in the food scene. It was a bit of a goose hunt for me, each place Kim’s mini meals, and Ting Thai Caravan, I wanted to go to was closed for refurbishment. Maki Ramen was recommended by Where Chefs Eat book/app, the website says it’s the first omakase restaurant in Edinburgh. Established in 2015 the head chef travelled around Japan and learned to master the art of ramen and sushi. Currently, there are three locations in Edinburgh Nicolson Street and Fountainbridge are the only ones with the omakase bar.

we were looking for a good ramen place to eat since tomorrow we found this little place close to a place that we drove for a show, we stopped to check the place where this was busy yet so warm and welcoming that we decided to sit there, it is a small place can visit 08-10 people on a jump happy, they managed to put us and young the cook that was prepared so that they had to attend this cook. I am vegetarian and the rams I had were one of the best I ever had. image will not be just to the food and taste I had, I had luck stepping into it and getting what I was looking for the staff is very warm and friendly and super fast service they have.

Went to the Maki Ramen in Fountainbridge (larger than the West Richmond St venue) and had some high expectations. The interior was nice and it looked promising, however, the service was slow and not great at all. The food itself was ok sushi was good (went with the salmon set and dragon roll set). I also had the tempura soba set the tempura was good, but the soba noodles weren't great and actually seemed like they used ramen style noodles. Ordered some dessert, but it took about 20min and it seemed like they had forgotten our order until we asked them about it. The smaller venue may be better as less people to have to serve, but this venue wasn't great at all.

Absolutely love this place I am huge Asian foodie as so is my husband. We stumbled across this place by accident. You will be lucky to get a spot to eat as they only have a tiny bar area that wraps around that fits a small number of people The restaurant is quaint and cosy and make a you feel as if you could be eating in down town China town in a rainy New York The sushi is some of the best and freshest I have ever tried. I came here on Saturday evening. Expected the place to be very busy so I decided to book in advance. I've never been before so when we arrived I was actually surprised how small this place is. The place has long tables so be prepared to sit next to strangers. The staff is very friendly and they actually make the sushi front house so you can see their great skills. The food was very nice. I had the beef curry ramen with boiled egg. It was a half portion but I found it quite big. There was only one piece of beef which would be my complain about the ramen.
