"My partner and I, along with another couple, decided to visit this pub for a drink after a nice meal on the high street while waiting for our taxi. Unfortunately, our experience was quickly soured by a rowdy group, one of whom was openly using cocaine. The door staff seemed more interested in standing outside than managing the situation inside, and the landlady appeared unaware of what was happening. I would not recommend this pub for late-night visits based on our experience. I cannot speak to what the atmosphere is like during normal hours, as this was our first and last time visiting. I am willing to provide more information, but not through a private email. The incident occurred on a Friday evening, and the way it was handled by the lady who insisted we leave created the impression that she was in charge, despite not being a staff member. The door staff were informed of the situation when we left, but their response was not satisfactory. We felt uncomfortable reporting the incident to a staff member inside, as we did not want to leave our partners in a hostile environment. Despite our efforts to peacefully leave the situation, no action was taken against the disruptive group, particularly the individual using cocaine. I understand that negative reviews may not be welcome, but this review is based on our honest experience. I hope that this incident will be properly investigated."
