"Yesterday afternoon, I visited The Orange Pub for the first time. It had been on my list for a while due to all the great things I’d heard about their food. Unfortunately, the poor service has left me unwilling to return. Our group of six was served by a waitress who, despite not using a notepad to take orders, managed to get one of the drink orders wrong in the first round, though she did apologize for it. When it came to the main course, she still didn't write anything down. Five people at our table received their meals, while I waited around 20 minutes for mine. When the waitress eventually approached, she informed me that I would have to wait even longer. I asked how much longer, but instead of answering, she walked away. Later, she asked my tablemates what I had ordered—while I was in the bathroom—clearly forgetting my meal, which could’ve been avoided if she had just used a notepad. A friend had to ask about my food again as I continued waiting. Despite knowing she had forgotten my order, the waitress only apologized to my friend, who had raised the issue, not to me directly. The constant uncertainty around my meal became a major distraction throughout lunch. Half the time I watched five people eat, and the other half, they watched me. The experience was frustrating and completely avoidable. The staff handled the situation poorly, and I never received a direct apology or any gesture, like a snack or drink, to make up for the delay. It's such a shame, because the food was fantastic."

"Having frequented The Orange pub/restaurant on a number of occasions before we were expectant of an enjoyable meal experience. We found that the current menu was too 'avant-garde ', and pricy, for this type of establishment and our 'mains ' choices were very disappointing when compared to previous visits. The service was generally very good and we had a bill discounted by one of our mains choices in view of the disappointing quality. Our meal was a disappointing feature of one of our rare visits to the capital and somewhat marred our New Year 's Eve celebrations."

"I visited this restaurant on Monday. The two front line staff members were fantastic – not pushy, but very attentive. I was meeting a friend that I hadn't seen in a few months, so we didn't immediately look at the menu. Despite this, they politely asked if we were ready to order and understood when we needed more time. The service was excellent when we did order, and we had a very enjoyable evening. Hats off to all the staff for a job well done."

The raspberry daiquiri was very bitter so not great. We were at an event in the radisson so was great that we could have something so close but all 8 of us wernt really impressed at all. "Not a great experience. Courtyard dining was nice given the weather and the food was reasonably priced if a little underwhelming. Service was a major let down. There were a handful of guests and the service team were slow to acknowledge us both upon arrival in the hotel and beyond. We were charged when placing the order, which is perfectly fine until we realised we were the only ones that had been charged upfront. Not sure of the rationale and probably wouldn't have been bothered until we were asked to pay again when leaving. For clarity, this was a business lunch and both of us were suited, not exactly looking the part to run off. Would have been happy for them to have approached and simply ask of we had paid rather than have someone ask from across the courtyard. Drinks arrived late, but to be fair food was served on time. Fortunately the company and conversation made up for a poor showing from the restaurant."

"Very poor. More like a takeaway with tables. Didn’t have the options advertised on their website. Order via a QR code and pay upfront. No waiting staff- just servers. Food took half an hour to come and it all comes at once (starters mains) and then the drinks came after. Food was edible but nothing special. Toilets weren’t clean. I will never go back"

"Came here for dinner with friends and it was a nice experience. Some of the dishes were superb such as scallops starter, but others were actually not quite as tasty as I’d want food in a restaurant to be. We tried the miso aubergine which for example in Sumosan Twiga is the most delicious side dish you can have, here however, it wasn’t very sweet neither crunchy from outside. The chicken with chickpeas was not really going together in my mouth. The chips with truffle and Parmesan were great. And beef carpaccio was a bit tasteless too. Anyway we still had a lovely experience just not a restaurant I’d return to for the food again."

"My son had booked us for a breakfast prior to the visit to the National History Museum. Unfortunately, my verdic is not positive for the meal here. There was not much matching on the menu for what I'd like to have breakfast so I requested,some green salad,grilled feta,olive,fried eggs and avocado and toast... What turned out to be was peanut size salad that was all dried up ,no Hallomee, no olives 2 post stamp size fried eggs in a large serving plate and 2 peanut size toast... We paid some some £68. Very disappointed and I do not recommend this restaurant."

"After visiting a special exhibition at the British Museum, we had lunch at this restaurant. We began with the crab and venison starters and shared a perfectly cooked medium rare beef dish. "We have visited The Hollybush on several occasions and do think it is a top quality restaurant. Spotless toilets, comparable to a 4 star hotel and immaculate presentation throughout. However, this time, we left overall disappointed with our meal. The rump steak was not the best and quite bland. The beef Sunday roast was very chewy. The salt and pepper squid starter was surprisingly spicy and not served with a lemon slice, which was disappointing. The children's menu, when put together main and dessert, is expensive for smaller children. We will probably visit again one day, as they do try hard to give a top quality experience, it is just this time, the food underwhelmed. Past visits have warranted 4 and 5 stars, just not today."

"After spending an hour in the restaurant, we finally received our starter, which we decided to share. We ordered haggis bonbons, but there were only three tiny balls, and they were gone in about three minutes because we'd been waiting so long. We then waited nearly another 30 minutes for our mains. When they finally arrived, the presentation was impressive; however, the steak was overly salty—so much so that I couldn’t continue eating it halfway through and had to give up. The onion rings were excellent, but the mac and cheese on the side was quite dry. We ordered another round of drinks when our main course arrived. I was having French martinis, but when my drink came, I was told they had run out of an ingredient and substituted it without asking for my approval. If I had known, I would have chosen something else. Since we opted for the market menu, we shared a portion of ice cream for dessert, which was delicious. In total, our bill came to £100, and I don’t think we’ll be returning anytime soon. The service was very slow, and while the food looked good, I would advise others to be cautious—the saltiness of the meat left me feeling like I had been drinking the sea."

"First visit to Urbano today and we weren't disappointed. Although it was very busy, we were greated by a very friendly member of staff and shown to a table. "We attended Deanes at Queens on Sunday 4 August whilst visiting Belfast. It had been recommend to us to visit and I’m so glad we did, it was the best meal we had throughout our entire stay! First of all I just want to point out how amazing the staff were with allergens, nothing AT ALL was a problem, they knew the ins and out of every dish and if they didn’t they’d get you an absolute answer from the kitchen and come back to relay that information, rather than the “I think so…” approach, which a lot of other establishments take. The service was effortless on our behalf and faultless on there’s The staff were a complete breath of fresh air! The food was absolutely some of the finest I’ve ever tasted and worth every single penny! I had Squid, Lamb A Chocolate Dessert My partner had Patè, Lamb Almond Cake Dessert. I would highly recommend Deanes at Queens and if we are ever in the area again I will most definitely will be attending!"

"I had a wonderful stay at this restaurant. The manager and staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The meal at the Clive Arms was beautiful. Our room was excellent—spacious, beautifully decorated, and featured a very comfortable bed. It had leafy views, real coffee, and a small fridge. One minor downside was the small mirror; it was hard for me to use because I’m short-sighted. However, the huge shower made up for it. Breakfast at the Ludlow Cafe next door was delightful, with free tea and coffee, and the manager showed genuine interest in our stay."

"Lovely atmosphere, and we had a cosy corner; the staff were generous in allowing us to occupy our table for more than the allotted time, for which we were grateful. However, one of our party's food wasn't good: this is the second time at the FB that we've been served radically undercooked giant cous-cous, making a starter largely inedible; also having asked for decaff coffee I was served caff, for which I paid in the subsequent 24 hours! I suspect the FB is struggling for staff in the kitchen, with which I sympathise, but this aspect of an otherwise good experience could have been better."
