"Visited here whilst in Putney on a Friday lunchtime. Very busy at the tills but staff are efficient. Lots more seating in this branch than it first appears. Other than the initial seating you can see there is a big space at the back of the shop behind the tills as well as on another floor. Despite being busy the tables were being kept clean which is great. Various new flavour wraps and sandwiches on offer in November in preparation for Xmas. I had a new falafel and avocado wrap with chipotle sauce which was good. Really like their seltzers. They are quite bitter so maybe not everyone’s choice but I think they are great as no sugar and great taste. The spelt and oat cookies were lovely."

"Having been here many times over the years, I am disappointed to be writing this review. We booked midday lunch as a group of 4, arriving early to await opening, as we were going to theatre matinee show. The manager? opened the door then let it go nearly in my face.. no welcoming hello or greeting. We then waited ages for drinks and then had to ask for food order to be taken. Meanwhile everyone who arrived after us had been attended to. Then a 45 minute wait for meals (again we had to ask) which left us with no time for pudding, coffee etc. My beef bourguignon was very fatty and unpleasant.. the other 3 meals looked much nicer. Sadly I won’t be returning."

"Went into the Broadmead Bristol Pret yesterday with a friend. We picked up our sandwiches, crisps and a drink each and placed them on the counter. We were totally ignored while 3 staff members stood behind the counter, one was working the coffee machine, the other two I'm not sure what they were doing. They did not say a word, then a lady walks in to the place, walks right up beside us and she is asked what she would like! Unforgivable in a customer service environment. The server who totally ignored us was taller, dark hair tied back and spoke with a foreign accent. We left our food on the counter top and walked out. Went to Cafe Amore across the street now they have the best customer service and cheaper food so we will go to there from now on."

"early on Saturday morning. the outdoor menu disappeared and aimed at the choice Avocado/Egg. then wandered in and looked perfectly fresh on spatialities made croissants, and knew that I have a croissant with a side of speck. superb with a kapuziner. I ate very comfortable outside. there is a lot of space inside and since this is very popular, they need the space. a few very happy small groups of diners collected in and seemed to have a great time. if I had lived in the opposite, I would certainly be a strain."

"Had a take out for our family of four on Friday night. Ordered 4 mushy peas, which is our favourite, but to our surprise the take away tubs with less than half of the size of it filled on all four portions. Fish is not a satisfactory portion as it’s more crispy batter than fish. Seems like they are down sizing the portion for a higher price."

"from both of us I found eating at elenas to be totally acceptable, but the price-performance ratio is a bit ho-hum. the photos of the stars that decorate the walls gives him a certain charm, but the bright lighting makes nothing for the shaded color job that lurking behind the mugs, and I felt, giving the place a caffe feeling. Some candles and somewhat lower lighting could go the inner further. I think the attention to small details makes customers appreciate. for example, why not use stainless steel eis eimer instead of plastic, which I enjoyed the chicken liver parfait, served with roasted brioche and chutney. so good. "Where do I start initially, the evening started well, the staff were great. Staff: 8/10 Food: 5/10 Food was basic Ambience/Music: 1/10 The Driver advised us that we can play our music, so we created our playlist, bought our own devices, laptops, cables etc....Everything got plugged in, and we were ready to go. The music kept cutting out; we couldn't even hear the music being played, the speakers were not functioning. One of our guests eventually fixed the speakers; the music still was cutting out. The staff tested the cable, tested the power supply; it clearly was not working; we spent 3 hours trying to resolve this issue. Finally, we were offered an alternative solution, portable speakers, which could have been provided earlier? However, at this point, the ambience had died, and we had to take the party elsewhere. We were offered £100.00 worth of drinks, bearing in mind the average price for drinks were £8.00, A very disappointing evening. Advice to The Driver Team: Ensure to check your appliance/systems before an event."

"the pret in nottingham has been here for many years. I have always worked in the city and have always found the food and drinks here to be very good. the personal is excellent and always friendly. I recently subscribed to the monthly Barista Decal at £25 a month, which is exceptionally worth. the only reason I don't give 5 stars it really needs a overhaul, as the place looks a little tired and the tables need to be cleaned better and more frequently in my opinion."

"Something seems to have gone wrong. We have greatly enjoyed staying here before and dropping in for occasional lunches. We liked the good food and wine, and the exceptionally good service. The premises looked immaculate and smelt fresh. Back today, looking forward to a pleasant impromptu late lunch at about 1:30pm. People were eating but there were plenty of spare tables. We waited to be seated in the restaurant … and waited… and waited. After a while my wife reported to the hotel receptionists that there were similarities to the Marie Celeste. They said that someone would come. A few minutes later a barmaid arrived at the bar. We explained that we had been hoping for a lunch table but that there were no restaurant staff. She went to find them. But several minutes later she still had not returned. So we left. By that stage we had realised that things had changed at the Hotel du Vin. It no longer looks immaculate. We let the receptionists know that we had intended to have lunch, but had decided to leave. They didn’t seem bothered. This place used to have excellent management. It needs to get it back again."

"Went to Amigos this evening to celebrate my daughters 9th birthday... We have been going here for years and the food and quality of service was first class.... Today it was Leah and Ali... But also Abbi and the rest of the team are ALWAYS superb. The choice of the venue was my 9 year old daughters choice.... Of all the usual places... Pizza hut McDonald's etc she chose Amigos... It caters for all and has never let us down... Breakfast, lunch or evening meal.... Always superb and very reasonably priced"

"We had a wonderful evening with a group of 15 friends at this restaurant. We were seated in a private room at the back, allowing us to chat without bothering other diners. Lewis and Luke were excellent hosts, taking care of us efficiently. The cocktails, food, and service were all fantastic, and we even enjoyed live entertainment from an Elvis impersonator. I would highly recommend this place, the only downside being the lack of disabled facilities. However, I was told that this issue is being addressed. Overall, a 5-star dining experience."

"I can see why the previous reviews are so poor. I visited here with my family this afternoon after booking for Saturday Brunch. I never leave reviews but I am so appalled at the service. On arrival we were struggling to open the doors as...the second was bolted. The staff watched my partner struggle to bring a pram in. When we arrived the staff just stared at us then asked were we ok. We were late for our table and they let us know that. It was teaming raining this morning and I had a newborn and 2 young children with me. So you can appreciate its hard to get out. The lady serving at the till was very rude. She wasn’t pleasant and when we asked for a children’s menu she was abrupt. If children are not welcome they should state this on the website. On the menu it stated ‘stackable pancakes’ and when arrived they were 2 small scotch like pancakes. The food was cold as if it had just been heated up rather than freshly cooked. And to make matters worse there was a long grey hair in my food. When I went to speak to the desk the woman didn’t apologise she just said she would get me another one. There was no apology or offer of compensation. When we were leaving again they had bolted the door so we couldn’t get through and stood around instead of holding the door. Considering the price of such small portions of food you would think the service would be immaculate. The staff sounded like they should be well mannered but every single member seemed like they just didn’t want to be there. Maybe you need to look at how the team are treated or the team working behind the scenes as there is clearly something not right."

"Had a nice evening albeit food overall was disappointing. The interior also doesn’t match up now to the outside space, more can be made of things potentially lovely pub. You often find food quality is compromised with festive menus and it becomes more like mass catering so lacked a bit of the quality and finesse of when I have visited previously. Brie bites looked like they were out of a party food box and most of the cheese was already oozing out and therefore stuck to the plate. Mains were pretty good but desserts disappointing, watery custard and a slice of Yule log thinner than a slice of bread. However overall good value and friendly service."

"wonderful restaurant I am an alpt room to eat as I like cooking, the menu is small the place itself intimate, it is simply perfect, I think some reviews say it is like being at home in someones. they are in the round, it is wonderful. eating is perfect, the quality compared to the amount. only a really nice place to eat was going again several times. also the outside space is a little hidden gem in the city center."
