"We order from the canton Wiwo at least once a month and have always found the food delicious and the staff friendly. We decided to try the City Centre shop last week what a mistake that was! Our food took over 2 hours to arrive but with it being a Friday night we let that slide. While we were waiting a Adriana phoned and I quote said ‘You wanted chilli chips, no’ after some questioning we realised that a sleeping sounding Adriana was trying to tell us that they had run out of chips. She did however offer to change the order to rice and said she would add a bottle of coke due to us paying extra for the chips, we agreed that this was fine and thanked her for the heads up. When the food arrived (without the promised drink) it was stone cold but we were so hungry by then we tucked straight in. The Katsu chicken was burnt and the rice was gooey and over cooked, both totally inedible. Our saving grace was the fact that we ordered satay chicken scewers as sides. We opened the chicken and after dipping one into the sauce my partner stopped me from eating it. He had realised that they had replaced the peanut sauce with a pot of mayonnaise instead (I’m not allowed to eat mayo due to a health condition). This was alarming so we phoned the shop straight away to discuss all issues above. The still sleepy Adriana admitted to adding Mayo instead of the usual peanut sauce because they had run out. I explained that this was disappointing as she had already phoned us to say they didn’t have any chips and asked why she hadn’t mentioned this so we could alter our order, to which she replied ‘don’t know’. We again mentioned all of our other issues including the fact that the food was totally inedible and Adriana asked ‘What do you want me to do?’ I suggested a refund as they were unable to fulfil the order we had placed. She agreed and said she would pass our details onto her manager. I asked when we would receive the refund and she said up to 5 working days. Skip to today (5 working days later). I call to ask about our refund only to be greeted by the rudest girl I have ever had the displeasure of talking to. She told me I’d have to call back to talk to that specific girl at a time that was inconvenient to me. I explained that my issue was with the company rather than a specific member of staff so I just wanted an update on the refund. She refused to listen to my request and talked over me. I asked her name and she refused to give it to me so I asked for her managers contact details which she also refused to give to me. Then she had the audacity to say ‘you’re not getting your refund so what are you going to do about it?’ And put the phone down! Although it was inconvenient I later called the store again and thankfully the cal was answered by Adriana. I explained I was calling about the refund that she had promised the previous week and she handed the phone to yet another college. This girl said that she had been filled in and that they were going to refund £5 of the order. I obviously voiced that this was unacceptable as the whole order was inedible. She asked why I hadn’t sent it back to be replaced. I explained that we had already waited 2 hours for our cold order, it had already come back wrong and also that this wasn’t given to me as an option. We were simply asked, what do you want me to do about it? The girl said sorry but my manager has spoken to the chef and we can only give you £5 back. End of story basically, absolutely shocking!"

"Boy has this place gone downhill. It used to be my ‘go to for a special Sunday lunch’ place! Went today with a friend and a 5 year old child and despite the 3 degree temperature they sat us outside in a ‘tent’ sort of structure with a 6” gap between the floor and the start of the thin material that was all there was between us and the elements. Despite a whole load of heaters, it was FREEZING. Grey, pinched faces huddled in their outdoor coats whilst they ate the rapidly cooling food. When it came to the food obviously it wasn’t just space that was an issue. They clearly hadn’t increased their food order but instead just shared the food between more people . If they were hoping for a loaves and fishes event, I’m afraid they will have been disappointed. You might have thought the plates had been prepared by the borrowers, the portion was so small! The spoonful of gravy, didn’t even manage to cover the one, charred roast potato but, when we asked for extra gravy we were charged £1.50 for a tiny pot! What restaurant charges for extra gravy??? We ordered a child’s sausage, mash and peas, but got, sausage mash carrots and broccoli. The child won’t eat vegetables except peas, so that was wasted. The ‘adult’ meals were supposed to come with a bowl of vegetables. Half way through eating we reminded the waitress that we still hadn’t got the vegetables. She said she was sorry, but didn’t bring any. My friend ordered a glass of red wine that, after a reminder, finally turned up as my friend finished her meal. We complained at the end that we hadn’t been given the bowl of vegetables and the child’s meal wasn’t as ordered. The waitress said she was sorry. Clearly greed has replaced quality. Cramming in more people to increase the takings at the expense of comfort and a decent meal. So disappointing."
