"Booked a table of 5 for my birthday dinner. We were promptly seated then immediately asked for drinks orders before even being offered a drinks menu or water. After we had ordered drinks we were being rushed into ordering some food, every two minutes different waiters coming and asking if we are ready to order (at least 7 times). After we did order and the food was brought out, we were then just forgotten about and nobody came over anymore to check if we needed any more drinks (4 out of 5 glasses were empty) or if the food was ok. (It was- but no one checked). After we had finished dining, we still had empty glasses and had to wait 20+ minutes until we eventually stopped a waiter walking past and asked if we could order more drinks. The drinks then took another 15 minutes to come. It was also very disappointing that although we had mentioned on the booking itself that it was for my birthday, there was no acknowledgement of this (I have been before and had received a plate with ‘happy birthday’ written on it in some kind of sauce with a sparkler). My sister even went to ask the woman working on the front desk and received a standoffish attitude back saying no. When the £235 bill came, it even listed ‘birthday plate £0.00’ on it!!! That really let the evening down. The interactions with the staff themselves were great, they were very polite and personable but the actual level of service of being rushed to order and then totally forgotten about really dampened what could have been a fantastic evening."

"This branch of Wagamama has a special place in my heart not only because of its amazing location but also because it is very different from the other branches I have been too. Its located on the first floor and as you walk up the stairs you can get the beautiful view of the Spitalfields. There are a range of shops and restaurants located here but my choice is Wagamama. The size of this restaurants is pretty decent and if you like to sit out and have a view while you eat you can do that too since it even provides outdoor seating. Me and my husband decided to sit inside since it was too cold for me and also because we get more privacy inside. We came at a very odd timing around 4.30pm so it had very few people and was not busy at all. The staff were kind enough to let me choose a table of my choice inside. We began by ordering few soft drinks and my absolute favorite Miso Soup. The Miso Soup was just the way it should be in taste except for the fact that it didn't had enough Tofu, I felt that they were stingy with it but otherwise it was flavorful and healthy. For our mains I ordered for myself Prawns Firecracker and my husband had Yasai Katsu Curry. I preferred my dish over my husbands. The Prawns Firecracker had a mild spicy flavor and a lot of colorful veggies. The gravy was nice and tangy and went perfectly well with the Rice. The Yasai Katsu Curry was another completely different dish, it was enjoyable and wonderful but my favorite dish here is the Firecracker which is so satisfying for me. Both the dishes were filled with vegetable which made our plate really colorful, as well as healthy and nutritious without compromising on the taste. The service was a little slow even though there were not many people in there. The quality and quantity was excellent nothing to be complained about that and if you have a taste card you even get a discount on the bill. I had a great time here and if you are also a Wagamama fan you should surely try this branch."

"First time visiting with my partner and month old. We were running a bit late as we struggled to find parking so of course I rang up to let them know we’d be about minutes late shouldn’t of been an issue! I was spoken to so rudely by a man who said “so you’re minutes late and going to be another minutes?” I explained the situation and he then hung up. I’ve worked in hospitality for years and I know, as would anyone, that this is not the way to speak to your customers! When we arrived the only man working was the manager which makes this even worse as it was obviously him who I had spoke to on the phone. A manager should definitely not be speaking to customers like this. We were then sat in an area of the restaurant that was right at the back where no other customers were sat!! There was plenty of nicer tables further at the front and I feel like the manager sat us here as punishment for being late?!?! If I wasn’t breastfeeding then I would have pulled him up on this but since we wanted a quieter area then we just sat there. The service was slow to being with, I think we had been forgotten about as we were so far back. The food was nice and the rest of the staff were great. But the way I was spoke to was out of order and to be honest he’s lucky he even had our custom after being spoke to like that before even arriving! We spoke to the manager at the end about the poor service we had received and he didn’t seem bothered in the slightest! Lovely restaurant with lovely views but the owners should be choosing more carefully as to who they let run this place!!! So disappointing"

"I 'm going to cover the features within this restaurant and then give my overall review. Starting with the: Food The food served in this restaurant looks pretty good and same for the taste. I ordered one of their specialties which they were advertising outside to try and it was alright. I wasn 't over the moon about it, but it was good food nonetheless. Menu The menu in this restaurant is nice. Its easy to read, well laid out and has alot to offer. The specialties are also highlighted and concise in their descriptions. Queue Speed I came here on a Saturday afternoon and thankfully didn 't have to queue for a seat. Ordering food was also straight forward and the waiting period wasn 't too long either. Overall I was pleased with the pace of services in this restaurant. Sitting Space The sitting spaces are really nice in comparison to most restaurants I 've been at. The chairs and table locations are good and in great condition, plus they 're not all too close together so you won 't have to worry about overhearing conversations or having other listen in on yours. Lighting The lighting in this restaurant is marvellous and provides a calm, relaxing and welcoming atmosphere throughout the restaurant. The lighting is also ideal for those who like to take pictures of themselves or their food inside the restaurant or for reviews in my case. Customer service The customer service here is pretty good as the members of staff all seem pretty competent and level headed. Hygiene The hygiene in this restaurant is really good. The seating areas were all clean and well looked after and the same can be said for the toilets. Overall I really liked this restaurant and would like to return and try more food from the menu. I found the restaurant to be pretty eye catching from the moment you step inside. The beautiful art work across the walls, the nature esque decor, the bar and the trendy setup all make for a beautiful and refreshing dining experience."

"We decided to visit Fukuoka for a special birthday meal. Admittedly we are not loyal customers to the restaurant but having visited the restaurant a few times over the years and both loving Japanese food , we were willing to go here again. From the minute we arrived, it was noticeable that it was quiet. Of course this was to be expected as it was a Sunday night. On the other hand by 8:40 pm, and aside from the odd person coming in for a takeaway, we were the only ones left in the restaurant. Perhaps this wouldn’t have been so bad if the BGM hadn’t been faint, or at least we had been positioned with some level or privacy instead of being overlooked by the staff on duty behind the counter. Our waiter for the evening arrived at the table asking if he could take our orders for drinks. We did so, only to find out that the plum wine, our original choice, had sold out for the evening. Slightly disappointed though not overly fazed, we picked something else from the menu. Our waiter was admittedly attentive and polite. However aside from serving our food , he wasn 't willing to particularly engage in a friendly conversation or at least create a welcoming atmosphere towards the only two customers eating in the restaurant . As we waited for the drinks, we looked through the menu and picked out our food choices. It took nearly ten minutes for our drinks to arrive. Of course from where we were seated, we could see and understand that our waiter had to take a phone call in between grabbing our drinks. We ordered our starters consisting of what should’ve been chicken karaage and pumpkin croquettes, as well as our mains; two bento boxes. One which was chicken teriyaki and another which was beef. The awkward atmosphere intensified after our starters arrived within fifteen minutes. The waiter had mixed up our order of pumpkin croquettes for prawn tempura. We weren 't willing to cause a fuss and so we kept quiet about the wrong starter. As it happens, the tempura prawns were by all honest confessions, okay. My mother cannot eat seafood and so she stuck to her order of chicken karaage. Having eaten karaage at several Japanese restaurants in the past and even often having made Karaage from scratch, she was disappointed by her starter. Trying a piece for myself, I couldn’t help but agree with her. The chicken was similar to a frozen nugget rather than having a soft and crumbling texture, and whilst the spicy mayo was certainly nice, it did little to disguise the bland batter used. Within less than five minutes of our starters arriving, we were shocked that our main courses had arrived. Of course while we did understand that the restaurant would be closing in around an hour and the kitchen wanted to complete any outstanding orders, we unsurprisingly felt rushed. Our mains were decent though not exceptional. Thankfully we had a rough idea what was being served in the bento boxes. However we did both observe after leaving the restaurant that the waiter had not at least explained what made up their bento boxes, or even double-checked if we had any food allergies after taking our order. Perhaps the best parts of the bento boxes were the teriyaki meats and beansprouts, alongside the pickled ginger. However aside from these sections of the bento box, the rest of the meal was unimpressively adequate. Our rice portions were generous but soggy and while the hosmaki rolls comprised of cucumber and salmon were generous also, they were worryingly bland, chewy and difficult to digest. My mother had to politely take a big gulp of her drink in order to avoid spitting it out after trying one of the cucumber hosmaki rolls. After our main meal we decided to go for dessert comprised of two seperate orders of mochi ice cream; a mixed plate- consisting of coconut, mango what should 've been raspberry from the menu though presumably substituted , toasted sesame and then a small plate of green tea ice cream mochi in order to share between us. Aside from the teriyaki and the beansprouts, the ice cream mochi was arguably one of the best parts of the overall meal. However it is fair to say that with all things considered for two drinks one non-alcoholic and one alcoholic , two starters, two mains and two desserts, our meal was certainly not worth the extortionate bill for average service and an ' 'okay ' ' meal which lasted less than 50 minutes."
