"Although the food and service at this restaurant are, for the most part, excellent, I felt rather disappointed by the dessert while dining here on one occasion earlier this summer. Following a very satisfying main course, I asked to take a look at the dessert menu. To my surprise, there were no prices alongside each item, which was especially incongruous because the main menu did display prices. I ordered the Greek yogurt with honey, which is a very simple, light dessert comprising basic ingredients. When the pudding arrived, the honey was conspicuous by absence because, I was told, they had run out of it. Instead, I had a bowl with yogurt garnished solely with toasted pine nuts. It was tasteless; as anyone knows, the honey defines the dish! To cap it all, when the bill arrived, I discovered the cost of the Greek yogurt without bee nectar (the price of a dessert, having merited no mention on the menu, suddenly reared its head and became important where the bill is concerned! . It was a whopping £7! I was flabbergasted. Without a key ingredient, it should have been a fraction of that price as a concession. Why had nobody just popped to a local shop to pick up a jar of honey during the day? I would also suggest restoring prices to the dessert menu. There can be no earthly justification for hiding them. Unfortunately, the dessert fiasco overshadowed the other parts of the meal, which, in fairness, were very good indeed."

"This delightful restaurant is conveniently situated at the entrance of Springfield Outlet Shopping Centre and is hard to miss, especially if you intend to spend a day or a few hours shopping. The Kitchen is a privately owned, family-run establishment that operates throughout the day from 11:00 am on Sundays through Wednesdays and extends its hours for dinner service on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. They take pride in offering a variety of delectable pub classics. Their menu boasts mouthwatering, homemade beer-battered fish and chips, grilled dishes, crisp salads, sandwiches, daily specials, delectable Sunday roasts, afternoon teas, and a dedicated children's menu. I went for the Black Blue burger which was a Cajun spiced, handmade burger topped with Stilton cheese, red onion, tomato and mixed salad leaves served with chips. My friend went for the Mexican which was Handmade burger with house chilli and sour cream with red onion, tomato and mixed salad leaves. Both burgers were served fresh and arrived promptly within five minutes of ordering. They were exceptionally delicious, bursting with an array of flavors. The portion sizes were generous and satisfying. The staff demonstrated remarkable friendliness and expertise, showcasing exceptional customer service skills. We opted to dine outdoors, and the alfresco areas were meticulously maintained by attentive staff, ensuring a pristine environment throughout our meal. A new favourite for me I will be sure to return again soon."

"When I booked this meal earlier in the week I was told the website was incorrect in that it indicated the Tea Time Special' was only available between and In fact I was told it is available all the time as an alternative...to the Main Menu. In the event we booked for and on arrival we found the venue was really busy with people of all ages present having meals. We were quickly shown to a table for the three of us and offered drinks whilst perusing a paper menu each that consisted of the Lunch and Tea Time Specials' on one side and the Main Menu' on the reverse. The youngest member of our party stuck with the tea time special and chose homemade roasted vegetable soup, homemade chicken curry followed by chocolate fudge cake. We chose the main menu and my other half opted for garlic mushrooms followed by a sirloin steak with an additional sauce. I also opted for the garlic mushrooms followed by a mushroom stroganoff and sticky toffee pudding. The two older members of the group washed this down with a Russian coffee which was very nice on a very cold evening. The surroundings are very pleasant and as we were seated near to the kitchen area can vouch for the fact that the staff who without exception all wore facemasks at all times were both very busy but pleasant with the customers at the same time. I would not regard our meals as fancy but just good home made food as witnessed by the empty plates and full tummies. Personally for what we three had I thought it was reasonably priced as well. If you are looking for home made favourites this is the place to visit."
