"Over the years, I've noticed a significant decline in service at many Subways I've visited. Orders often feel rushed, closing times are inconsistent with what’s posted on the door, and the staff often seem unhappy. However, my experience at the Subway with Kumar completely changed my perspective. I drove by and saw it was open near closing time (9:50 PM), and I was warmly greeted by Kumar, who was serving another customer but still made me feel welcome. He had a constant smile and reassured me that it wasn't too late (as someone who has worked in the industry, I know how frustrating late customers can be). For once, I wasn't rushed, and Kumar even encouraged me to try different options at each station. He was incredibly patient with my specific requests, making the entire experience delightful. I would gladly drive past my three other Subways just to be served by him again! I truly hope they appreciate him. All the Subways in Bristol could learn from him, especially the one near the air balloon roundabout. *UPDATE* I take back my praise! Today, I was informed by the staff that they close at 9:45 PM to clean up, despite the posted hours stating they are open until 10 PM. When I asked why there's a discrepancy, the staff member apologized but explained it was too late because he had already put everything away. This was precisely at 9:45 PM, which indicates they were already starting to clean up at least by 9:30 PM. It just doesn’t add up and is detrimental to the brand. This seems to be a pattern across restaurants! Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1"

"I really enjoy coming to this Subway with my family and children. Having visited many up and down the country it is the best run Subway franchise I have been to. It can get very busy but that is a good sign about how good the store is and the staff. The staff are friendly, polite, efficient and always working as fast as they can. The food is always fresh and delicious. Great place. Highly recommended!"

"This Costa in the past has been consistently good, this time not so. Whats gone wrong? Firstly fridge completely empty, nothing in it, then cake display rubbish, staff really slow, not even that busy but they talking amongst themselves didn't help. The tables certainly not socially distanced! Lots were not cleaned. Member of staff even although people waiting, taking photo of coffee they had made! This place needs an overhaul, felt nothing like christmassy, no effort made to make it inviting and warm. Would not be first on list for next visit soon."

"Customer Service is terrible lately, very stingy with the portion sizes, and sandwiches are not created very neatly. My daughter who is 12 visited and was over charged by £2 and when i confronted the lady she was really rude. Not sure if it has changed management, but it doesnt open early anymore like it used to, unsure if the staff are just rude to everyone, but really disappointing as it used to be so nice."

"I got put off subway years ago in my uni days, however my sisters insisted they wanted subways so I drove them down. I got there and one of my sisters got a salad instead of a sub it looked soo good I thought I'd try it as well. I have to say it was one of the best salads I've tasted in a while and it was a good healthy portion. I got to decide exactly what I wanted in it and what sauces I wanted ect. Also because the subway was halal I even got to add some chicken. No kidding, my salad was delicious. Bless the workers they were so helpful, kind and patient. Great place with excellent salad and customer service. Bonus it's halal for those that need halal food. "

"Love it. I don't go here very often but every time I've been it has been good and quick and clean. The last time I went about a week ago the lady serving was amazingly friendly and helpful and just the best. And the other lady who was there didn't serve me but a young boy near us spilt his drink and she was very nice about it and just quickly came and clear it up and made sure the boy didn't feel bad."

"The food was delicious. We had made a reservation and upon arrival, we were able to choose our table. The service was very attentive and polite, with no rush or pressure. The waitress provided excellent recommendations. The tea was hot and the pot served three cups. The pancakes were fluffy, hot, and beautifully presented. Note: the portions are generous. I will opt for a 3-stack next time. The lovely waitress also brought extra maple syrup. The interior maintains the industrial feel of the old warehouse building, yet it is cozy and intimate. The tables were very clean and the decor was beautiful. The prices were reasonable considering the high quality of food and service. I couldn't find any faults and will definitely return."

"I never have a subway anything .my preconceptions about this food had originally put me off.However out Inca limb in the pyramids with the grandchildren, I decided I would give one a go very reluctantly lol.I was amazed that the young girl asked me what I liked .Bacon crispy, no problem came the reply.onions, cheese, roast chicken, and sweet chilli sauce. Onion sauce and a little Caesar sauce.on a white cold baguette. You can have them warm or toasted too.A little miffed that there was NO BUTTER BUT I never even noticed that.i thoroughly enjoyed it. They wore hygiene gloves to make it too on a sterile sandwich greeseproof wrap paper aswell.it was all done clean and that itself impressed me .I always thought of these places the opposite to what it actually was .I had tomato too salt n black pepper crispy lettuce.i enjoyed it no end an will go back there for sure.The counter an food was wrapped an clean as well. "So this subway in particular was a bit rushed i should say. The workers didn 't look happy and gave attitude throughout making me sandwich. The place is a bit small so when you walk in they 'll ask what you want and then you pay before you set up your sandwich and then you put all the stuff in it. I asked the sandwich maker if she could get it in 4 ways and she said yeah i know and proceeds to cut two ways instead... just felt like alot of attitude throughout this interaction. The sandwich itself was kinda funky and the bread was very strong in flavor a bit overwhelming. I hope workers just had a bad day. "I visited this restaurant late on a Friday and had a delicious SFC wrap with curly fries. Even though it was late in the day, the chicken was still tender and juicy, not dry at all. The tortilla wrap was soft and easy to eat, and the salad was fresh with a smooth garlic mayo dressing. The curly fries were crispy and tasty. The service was fast and friendly, despite the summer heat. They also had a wide variety of soft drinks. Overall, it's worth a visit, especially if you're in the area."

The restaurant did not respond to my complaint and I did not receive a refund from Deliveroo. I would recommend avoiding this store and trying a more reliable option, like the Battlefield Store on Just Eat."
