"The food is that rank it could potentially kill somebody. Ordered from there last night, had a raw haddock delivered, frozen in the middle. Complained to the chip shop they told me to take it up with just eat for a refund! I took a video of the food and sent it to food hygiene Sandwell council, that is how serious it was. There are plenty of nice chippys and good businesses about but this is unacceptable, to serve raw food, especially fish? They deserve to be shut down"

"Food and service were fab as always, we really enjoyed ourselves. The only minor negatives with the Bishop is the atmosphere is too rowdy, not sure what it is or can be done but many people who eat are so loud and obnoxious, maybe some soothing pub music that doesn’t make people talk louder? Other than that, the charter pie dish needed gravy to accompany it as it was quite dry"

"Thanks to the courteous helpful lady who made the recommendation, I enjoyed a lovely cheese and ham sandwich, salad and a coffee at Caesers Café.The staff were polite, friendly and attentive, Covid precautions were adhered to, the café was very clean and the prices reasonable. At the time I was only seeking a light lunch, but I did notice the substantial delicious looking fish and chip meal a gentleman was enjoying on a neighbouring table. Some other time maybe...As an aside and in the unlikely event of the first young lady walking on Terrace Road whom I asked if she could recommend a café serving sandwiches and coffees who responded Sorry, I don't have any small change”, ever reading this review, I would like to assure her that I enjoy a good pension after a successful career following several years of Military service, have never begged for money in my life and hope she never needs to."

"came last night with my partner for our jubilee here and eating was absolutely incredible. we had both chickens to catch and a steak for our head. everything was perfectly cooked and very well seasoned. 100% worth the 2 hours drive from birmingham! next time we make sure to bring enough space for dessert. the employees were also amazing, attentive, courteous and just in general beautiful!"

"I ate here a afternoon last month, while I stayed in london on the novotel on canary wharf. I had seen this place that was introduced on a TV program. it looked like to be in a very interesting environment and I like this style. of space. as I said that I was on canary wharf and it was actually a very simple trip with two busses to just a few hundred meters from the entrance to the trinity buoy wharf where the diner is located. this whole area is another where there is a large amount of development with the construction of apartment blocks. the wharf himself has seen the development with several units that are now working as small companies. the other feature worth mentioning is the excellent view from the wharf of the o2 arena opposite and the huge cloud scratches of canary wharf in the middle distance. so diner itself and it is really a great place to eat. I don't know if it's an original or a reconstruction, but it's an American diner of 60 years that they see in films and photos of this epoche. the menu is quite extensive and is naturally centered around the ubiquitous burger, but there are many other possibilities, including salads for the healthy food! there are also breakfast options. a burger was just good for me and I chose one with cheese and speck along with the usual other circumcisions and fillings. a very large part of the delicious pommes accompanied it. to complete the true American style, I had a beautiful milkshake with it. the food came in good time and it was a pleasure to eat while the look at the view. they can even see the cable car ride that passes very close over the themses. I finished with a beautiful cappuccino and the whole bill I thought was very reasonable. I can highly recommend this place if they like this style of restaurant and I really hope to go back a day."

"Having been invited to a Ruby Wedding party in the Chartwell Room I took a look at Donnington Manor Hotel's website and was very impressed by photos of stylish gardens, a sumptuous and historic dining-room, and delicious-looking food. The guests (38 of us) had been asked to choose three courses from a menu provided in advance, and I chose home-made chicken liver pate with red onion jam and sourdough bread; roasted sirloin of beef served with roast potato, seasonal vegetables, Yorkshire pudding and red wine jus, and for pudding apple tarte tatin with vanilla ice-cream. I'm sorry to say that the food was a considerable disappointment: The pate had no discernible flavour so the blob of red onion jam was most welcome, but aside from (delicious-looking) bread rolls served in a basket I don't recall having any sourdough bread. The beef was overcooked and so tough I couldn't cut it, and managed only the softest bits of the two slices (in fairness, my brother, who was seated at another table, enjoyed his beef). Two halves of a small roast potato were hidden under the beef as were some small pieces of boiled carrot and French bean. The red wine jus had all the hallmarks of instant gravy from a jar (glutinous, and with unidentifiable dots in it), and had been poured over everything on the plate. The Yorkshire puddings looked marvellous, but I gave mine to a fellow guest so can't comment on that. The apple tarte tatin was *delicious*!! Sadly it was only about four spoonsful, and the modest scoop of vanilla ice-cream, equally delicious, was almost completely melted by the time I received it. I think there were only three waiters; it's not a surprise that there were long delays in service. The reason I didn't comment on these shortcomings in the food was that I was sitting next to the host, my cousin, and he and his wife chose Donnington Manor because that's where they held their wedding reception, forty years previously."

"I visited the Medina bar and grill with some friends last night for some drinks and a bit of grub . I will get straight to the point, the big mamma burger was unbelievably underwhelming, the fact that it is one of the more expensive burgers on the menu I was expecting it to be of a fair size but nope. It was actually smaller than the standard beef burger which was a bit disappointing , Felt a tad ripped off to be honest. Other than that the staff where friendly and attentive."

"I was so happy to find this pub on a quick run through Southampton on my way home from the New Forest. There seemed to be few options for vegans in Southampton. This pub was a great find! Amusing food titles, delicious fresh food and lovely beverages. We ordered from the lunch menu. A bargain at £7.95. I had the vegan pulled pork....sweet and yummy. I tried my partners smoked vegan cheez with sunflower and pumpkin seeds and dried apricot. Unusual and wonderful. Both on fresk rye buns with fries. The pub place older metal at a low volume so one can chat and listen in on the odd, odd telephone conversation. The desserts look wonderful, though I don't think vegan. Couldn't look to closely for fear of my figure.lol"

"the best place to go for lunch! The atmosphere is a bit dull however though, they have: friendly staff an amazing variety of sandwiches and for an extra 69p on your drink you can have unlimited drinks untill you leave the store! They also cater for vegans and vegetarians too! It also only costs around £9/10pp... I would Highly reccommend going for lunch if you havent tried subway! Vegetarian options: I would personally reccommend the meatless meatball marinara with vegan cheese (or the origional meatball marinara with regular cheese) its heaven in a subway sandwich! Its like sinking your teeth into your faverout food and tasting it for the 1st time again!"

"Visited the cafe twice on a recent holiday, once on a beach day and the other at one of their pizza and music nights. Both were great experiences with friendly and helpful staff, great food, atmosphere and a shop full of many tempting things to buy! A great place to visit and up there with one of my favourites in Cornwall."

"Have visited the Plough four times with various friends recently and everyone has said how much they enjoyed the visit. We have been for both Sunday lunch and for dinner in the evening and it is rapidly becoming the regular Sunday lunch ”watering and feeding...hole” for four of us, (who have been nicknamed the Recalcitrant Geriatric Sunday Lunch Bunch the RGSLB), because it is so comfortable and welcoming. Parking is brilliant, including a disabled space, there are no steps to manage and there is room to move when you get inside. Three of us are on walking sticks or “triangular walky things” and a bit unsteady on our feet. It does have giant TV screens and loudspeakers but they are not on all the time and you can converse in comfort with your friends; we were offered a quiet corner which was ideal. The landlady and landlord made us welcome and looked after us beautifully and provided very nice food and drinks – including good beer! so we have felt nicely cared for. We used to bring another friend but his dementia now prevents this but a little “takeaway” was willingly provided for us to take to him, without fuss or drama. Since our previous Sunday venue closed we have been to more than ten pubs but if you can park the service is bad or there are steps to negotiate or loudspeakers twittering away above your head or always something wrong. Nothing has worked ‘til the Plough. One of our number is a retired pub landlady – and she approves! The Plough is a pub which serves food, not a restaurant that claims to sell beer and Andy and Jackie are to be congratulated on running a “proper pub”! We’ll be back……..!"

"Fantastic establishment, so much going on down here. Quiz not on a Thursday which is a good crack, normally fantastic music on a Friday or Saturday prices go up slightly on the drinks after 9pm on these nights but with the value for entertainment it’s justifiable. Never had any bad food in here and is good value for the money, Mac and cheese is on point. Staff always friendly, even on busy nights like last night with the Ireland rugby game on there was no long waits. Good selection of sports on, if it’s not on, ask and they put it on for you with commentary. Brilliant idea of showing the commentary at the back part of the pub on quieter days as to not force it on the rest of the customers. Have had many social nights out here along with work nights. Always a good night. Keep up the good work and look to sign Randy"

"I used this subway several times and it is my preferred subway in portsmouth. I tend to roast chicken salad and to love the fresh salad, especially spinach, who do not all subways (although an increasing number do.) they remembered my preferences, which always make you welcome. on my walk home with my salad I thought about it; they remember their preference and they feel welcome; they remember their preference because they visited several times because they liked the service. cannot they get a clearer recommendation for a place than that?"
